Point Guard
RANK | NAME | Team | # Games | Analysis |
1 | Trae Young | ATL | 4 | Young takes the top spot with the full slate. He's fully healthy and even with Jeff Teague backing him up, expect him to continue taking a lot of shots and playing deep into games as the Hawks top option. |
2 | Luka Doncic | DAL | 3 | Despite not having a full slate of games, Doncic has been one of the fantasy MVP's of the 2019-2020 season. He's a mega-multi-category producer and Kristaps Porzingis coming back shouldn't impact him. |
3 | Kyrie Irving | BKN | 4 | While Irving has completely changed the way the Nets move on offense because he's constatnly running isolation, this is a fantasy player's dream because it means he'll have more time with the ball. |
4 | Russell Westbrook | HOU | 4 | Westbrook shouldn't see any rest games this week and with the full slate, expect a lot of drives down the lane with a limited amount of long-range shooting. He'll help grab boards as well. |
5 | Kyle Lowry | TOR | 4 | Even with other Raptors players back in action, Lowry will still handle a good amount fo the offense. His scoring may drop a little, but his assists should rise because of the return of skilled front-court players. |
6 | Kemba Walker | BOS | 4 | INJ: Walker is dealing with a sore Knee and he missed his last game and there's a chance he'll have to miss his first game of the week on Monday. |
7 | Chris Paul | OKC | 4 | Paul continues to improve as the season presses on and he's taking a lot more command of the Thunder's offense and he'll put up a good amount of shots while helping with dimes and steals. |
8 | Damian Lillard | POR | 3 | Lillard would be higher in the rankings if he had the full slate of games, but, with CJ McCollum battling an Ankle injury, he should see even more usage without his back-court-mate for the next few games. |
9 | Malcolm Brogdon | IND | 4 | Brogdon will continue being the prioritized scorer in Indiana until Victor Oladipo returns in the next few weeks. His minutes shouldn't be impacted with Oladipo returning, but his shots may take a hit. |
10 | Ricky Rubio | PHX | 4 | Rubio has been an excellent complimentary weapon to Devin Booker and he's been able to see success driving the lane and is taking smarter shots than in the last few years and as always he'll help w/ dimes. |
11 | Spencer Dinwiddie | BKN | 4 | Dinwiddie will start to fall in the rankings a bit because Irving being back will not only take the ball out of his hands a good amount, but he'll see fewer shots especially if he's starting next to Irving. |
12 | Ja Morant | MEM | 4 | Morant has been the talk of the town lately since returning from injury and he has incredible driving ability and the Grizzlies will look to give him a few more minutes down the stretch. |
13 | Lonzo Ball | NO | 4 | Ball has balled out (pun intended) since Jrue Holiday went down and Holiday isn't 100 percent and Ball will have more room to create and he's been a better scorer with Holiday off the floor. |
14 | Ben Simmons | PHI | 3 | Simmons can't shoot, but he can do most other things better than most of the other players in the league and with Joel Embiid still hurt, expect him to continue seeing more openings in the lane. |
15 | Derrick Rose | DET | 4 | Rose will continue seeing a ton of usage with Blake Griffin out, but, Reggie Jackson 's return is reportedly coming up and it'll be interesting seeing how minutes are divided between Jackson and Rose. |
16 | Dennis Schroder | OKC | 4 | Schroder has been one of the best sixth men this season and he's been leading the Thunder's second-unit in scoring and they don't have a lot of other options that they can rely on and he'll always get shots. |
17 | D'Angelo Russell | GSW | 3 | Russell remains the prioritized scorer for the Warriors and it's looking like we won't see Stephen Curry return to the court until the beginning of March at the earliest and Russell will continue to run the offense. |
18 | Patrick Beverley | LAC | 4 | Beverley won't always help with scoring, but he'll help in other areas such as dishing a few assists, grabbing rebounds consistently and steals as well. It all adds up and his defense keeps him on the court. |
19 | Dejounte Murray | SAS | 4 | The Spurs have a lot of guards but Murray's spot is solidified and we can't always rely on his shooting, but the assists and steals will help keep him productive and he has good lane-attacking ability. |
20 | De'Aaron Fox | SAC | 3 | The Kings have been banged up over the last few weeks and Fox has had to take on more of an offensive role and even with other mid-court players back in the lineup he'll continue to be top option. |
Shooting Guard
RANK | NAME | Team | # Games | Analysis |
1 | James Harden | HOU | 4 | It's hard taking Harden out of the top spot, and when he has a full slate, he always has a chance to be the most productive fantasy player of the week and the Rockets remain very top-heavy. |
2 | Bradley Beal | WSH | 4 | Beal has fully recovered from his Leg injury and he'll play full minutes moving forward and while he'll see a lot of pressure from defenses, having other big men back will give him a bit of breathing room. |
3 | Devin Booker | PHX | 4 | Booker has been on a scoring rampage over his last few games and it's been awesome being a Booker owner because of how helpful he's been at producing assists consistently. |
4 | Zach LaVine | CHI | 4 | LaVine will need to drag the rest of the Bulls along each game because they are very banged up, especially up front, and a lot more of the offense will have to be produced from the guards. |
5 | Fred VanVleet | TOR | 4 | VanVleet's Knee is healthy and he should see full minutes for the most part this week. I don't think we have to worry about the Raptors giving VanVleet a rest game, but always be prepared. |
6 | Jrue Holiday | NO | 4 | INJ: Holiday is still dealing with his Elbow injury. There's a chance he can return to the Pelicans lineup on Monday but it hasn't been confirmed. |
7 | DeMar DeRozan | SAS | 4 | DeRozan doesn't even need to shoot three-pointers in order to score over 21 points per game. He'll continue being the Spurs top option who will also help with boards and dimes. |
8 | Andrew Wiggins | MIN | 4 | Wiggins will move back to being the second prioritized option with Karl-Anthony Towns back in the lineup, but he should see more shots with Jeff Teague off the team and he'll have more time with the ball. |
9 | Jaylen Brown | BOS | 4 | INJ: Brown missed his last two games with an injured Thumb but he should be active for the Celtics game on Monday. Stay tuned! |
10 | Shai Gilgeous-Alexander | OKC | 4 | SGA will continue being a prioritized weapon and he'll be kept on the floor when Schroder is with him and he'll still be set up a lot and help pull down boards and grab steals. |
11 | Lou Williams | LAC | 4 | Williams will continue to see more usage with Paul George off the floor. Williams is the most reliable Clippers guard on offense and even when George returns, he'll still see a lot of minutes and time w/ the ball. |
12 | Jimmy Butler | MIA | 3 | Butler will have to not only be the Heat's top scoring option, but he'll help run the point while Justise Winslow continues to recover. Expect consistent help with points, boards and steals (which he dominates) |
13 | Evan Fournier | ORL | 4 | Fournier will continue seeing a ton of shots from the arc because Aaron Gordon needs to play more in the post with Jonathan Isaac out. Expect Fournier to help bring up the ball some as well. |
14 | Marcus Smart | BOS | 4 | Smart will see more minutes if Walker has to sit for another game. His defense earns him his paycheck and his ceiling on offense goes up when either Walker or Brown is out of the mix. |
15 | Norman Powell | TOR | 4 | Powell will see starts at times and even though VanVleet is back, Powell will still see a lot of minutes and he'll especially benefit playing with the Raptors second unit because he'll be prioritized. |
16 | Donovan Mitchell | UT | 3 | This week will be very telling because Mike Conley is back in the fold and he'll be handling a lot of the PG duties. Hopefully Conley being back doesn't keep Mitchell camping out at the arc for the whole game. |
17 | JJ Redick | NO | 4 | Redick was dealing with a Hamstring injury, but returned to the Pelicans lineup on Saturday. Redick shouldn't have to miss anymore time and with Holiday out, he'll see more shots and time with the ball. |
18 | Jeremy Lamb | IND | 4 | Lamb is currently in audition mode because Oladipo is on his way back. Lamb's defense will still keep him very much part of the rotation. He'll hit three's and grab long boards and steals consistently. |
19 | Kevin Huerter | ATL | 4 | Huerter's usage may start to drop a bit if the Hawks end up playing Teague alongside Young for a good amount of the game. Huerter should still see starts and long-range shots. |
20 | Dillon Brooks | MEM | 4 | Brooks will continue to benefit from Morant's popularity because opposing defenses will put more pressure on him and Brooks will often be left open to create from the arc and he starts. |
Small Forward
RANK | NAME | Team | # Games | Analysis |
1 | LeBron James | LAL | 4 | James with a full slate and a banged up Anthony Davis will only benefit him and with Rajon Rondo also banged up, expect James to bring up the ball even more and for his assists to go up a bit more. |
2 | Brandon Ingram | NO | 4 | Ingram is fully healthy and he should also benefit a tad from Holiday still being hurt. Even when Williamson gets into the mix, it shouldn't take much away from Ingram at all because he plays multiple positions. |
3 | Kawhi Leonard | LAC | 4 | With the Clippers having the full slate this week, we have to wonder if they'll sit Leonard for a game especially with them having a back-to-back this week. Paul George is still out, but that may not even matter. |
4 | Kelly Oubre Jr. | PHX | 4 | INJ: Oubre missed his last two games with a Concussion, but he should be ready to go for Monday's game versus the Spurs. |
5 | Will Barton | DEN | 4 | With Jamal Murray and Gary Harris hurt, Barton will not only see more usage, but he'll be bringing up the ball a lot more with Monte Morris . Barton is a multi-category producer and his assists will go up. |
6 | Gordon Hayward | BOS | 4 | Hayward will see a lot more shots if either Walker is off the floor and I have to give him credit because he is crashing the boards a bit more and he's even dished 4.1 assists per game. |
7 | Marcus Morris | NY | 4 | Morris is fully healthy and the Knicks are looking to showcase him because contending teams want to trade for Morris. He's been one of the most reliable long-range shooters and he's an enforcer on defense. |
8 | Taurean Prince | BKN | 4 | Prince may see fewer shots and he's had his struggles lately. The saving grace for Prince is that he's a starter and plays good defense at the elbow. When his long shot isn't hitting, he won't be fed. |
9 | T.J. Warren | IND | 4 | Warren is known more for his long-range shooting, but he's been helpful on defense and has been rewarded with more minutes and when Oladipo returns, he'll take on the Bojan Bogdanovic role from last year. |
10 | Jae Crowder | MEM | 4 | Crowder is in a similar position to Taurean Prince as he doesn't have much depth behind him that can defend as well as he can on the perimeter. He's good at reading screens and he'll help grab boards. |
11 | Joe Harris | BKN | 4 | It's getting a bit crowded in the Nets rotation and even though Harris will lose out on minutes and shots, he's earned his spot and his defense will keep him in games and he will compile steals. |
12 | OG Anunoby | TOR | 4 | Anunoby is known for his defense and while other players were out he had every opportunity to takeover and show his growth on offense, but he was inconsistent. His defense will keep him in games. |
13 | Josh Hart | NO | 4 | Hart will continue seeing more minutes as long as Holiday is out. He can help run the point if needed as well but with Ball playing so well lately, Hart will often be relegated to the arc. |
14 | Tobias Harris | PHI | 3 | Harris needs to continue banging in the post, but the problem with the Sixers is that they don't shoot well from downtown and Harris is forced to set up more at the arc and it makes it harder to grab boards. |
15 | Troy Brown Jr. | WSH | 4 | Brown should have a leg up on other Wizards mid-court players because of his experience and Davis Bertans is needed at the elbow. He'll see shots and time with the ball with the second unit. |
16 | Rudy Gay | SAS | 4 | INJ: Gay is sick and he's missed the Spurs last two games. We'll have to wait and see if he can recover in time to be active for Monday's games. |
17 | Terrence Ross | ORL | 4 | Ross will continue seeing more shots with Isaac out for a while. He can bring up the ball at times and he'll help a tad with steals, but he's mainly going to serve as a bailout shooter from downtown. |
18 | Joe Ingles | UT | 3 | Ingles may see his minutes drop a touch because of Conley's return, but he's a very strong defender and he'll continue to help grab boards and steals from the perimeter and he'll score w/ the second unit. |
19 | Bogdan Bogdanovic | SAC | 3 | Bogdanovic is healthy again and with Trevor Ariza off the team, it will give him more minutes and he'll even get to close out games more and has a strong long-range game and he'll bring up the ball at times. |
20 | Harrison Barnes | SAC | 3 | Barnes will also benefit from Ariza being gone because the Kings will need his perimeter defense to help stop opposing teams from seeing open lanes to the basket. He'll help grab boards consistently as well. |
Power Forward
RANK | NAME | Team | # Games | Analysis |
1 | Anthony Davis | LAL | 4 | INJ: Davis has missed his last five games with a bruised Tailbone but he is returning for the Lakers first game of the week. We'll have to wait and see if they look to limit his minutes first game back to be safe. |
2 | Pascal Siakam | TOR | 4 | Siakam has returned and the Raptors are looking like they'll let him loose this week and give him a full workload and he'll be able to drive the lane with force. Serge Ibaka 's usage will drop. |
3 | John Collins | ATL | 4 | Collins is the Hawks most skilled big man and with Jabari Parker still hurt and the Hawks Centers unable to be trusted to put up consistent efforts, he'll see a ton of plays in the post. |
4 | Jayson Tatum | BOS | 4 | Even with Brown expected to play on Monday, Tatum will still still see a good amount of time with the ball and he'll look to work the elbow a good amount. He'll see more shots if Walker is out. |
5 | LaMarcus Aldridge | SAS | 4 | Aldridge will continue helping out at multiple positions and because the Spurs have problems with long-range shooting. He'll need to balance out his offense between the elbow and arc. |
6 | Julius Randle | NY | 4 | Randle will see even more shots with RJ Barrett off the floor for the next few games. He's been one of the very few bright spots for the Knicks and he'll grab a good amount of rebounds. |
7 | Giannis Antetokounmpo | MIL | 2 | The Greek Freak would normally claim the top spot but the Bucks have the short slate this week and he only will be active for two games. |
8 | Danilo Gallinari | OKC | 4 | Gallinari is over his injury and he should play full minutes all week and he doesn't have much depth behind him and he'll get fed a good amount of shots while grabbing a few long boards. |
9 | Jaren Jackson Jr. | MEM | 4 | Jackson has elevated his game lately. He is showing a lot more aggresivness in the post and he'll still look to take a good amount of long-range shots, but he'll bang more with the big guys inside. |
10 | Davis Bertans | WSH | 4 | Bertans will help out in the post on defense, but on offense expect him to be camping out at the arc a good amount. His size gives him the ability to stretch the floor and shoot open three-pointers. |
11 | Serge Ibaka | TOR | 4 | Ibaka will see his time with the ball drop a bit with both Siakam and Marc Gasol back in the mix, but he'll still be part of the rotation and will help out in the post mainly with the Raptors second unit. |
12 | Lauri Markkanen | CHI | 4 | Reports continue to say Markkanen isn't 100 percent but he still continues to play which convinces me further that the Bulls management has no idea what they're doing. He needs to play more in the post. |
13 | Aaron Gordon | ORL | 4 | Gordon should see his rebounding numbers improve because he's forced to leave the arc and play in the post more because of his size and strong leaping ability. |
14 | Robert Covington | MIN | 4 | Covington will go back to just hanging at the arc with Towns healthy again and it's very frustrating because we've see his potential in the post and that would help put him in position to grab more boards. |
15 | Myles Turner | IND | 4 | Turner isn't as reliable of a rebounder because he spends a lot of time at the elbow, but, he'll produce mid-range blocks and he'll even hit 1.5 three-pointers per game. |
16 | Kevin Love | CLE | 3 | Love should see fewer rest games over the next month because Cleveland will look to trade him even though he has a huge contract. He'll help a ton with points and boards as the Cavs top option. |
17 | Kristaps Porzingis | DAL | 3 | INJ: Porzingis is very close to returning to action and the Mavs first game of the week is on Tuesday. They'll continue to be cautious, but we should see Porzingis back on the court this week. |
18 | Brandon Clarke | MEM | 4 | Clarke will help out at both PF and C and he'll fill in when needed. Jonas Valanciunas doesn't play a ton of minutes and that will benefit Clarke who will spend most of the game defending the paint. |
19 | P.J. Tucker | HOU | 4 | Tucker is more of a bailout option on offense and he'll set up at the arc for the most part and will hit three's. On defense, he'll grab boards and steals. His defense will keep him in the game longer. |
20 | Paul George | LAC | 4 | INJ: George has missed his last five games with a Hamstring injury. His first game of the week is on Tuesday and his status is currently up in the air for the game. |
Center
RANK | NAME | Team | # Games | Analysis |
1 | Andre Drummond | DET | 4 | Drummond continues to be the most dominant rebounder in the league and with no Blake Griffin to take the ball away from him, expect Drummond to continue to be fed in the post a lot. |
2 | Nikola Jokic | DEN | 4 | Jokic continues to slowly turn his season around and he'll see even more time with the ball with Jamal Murray hurt. He can definitely bring up the ball if needed and that'll help his assist-numbers rise. |
3 | Karl-Anthony Towns | MIN | 4 | Towns has returned to action and the Timberwolves have monitored his minutes for his first couple of games back in the lineup. Don't be surprised if he gets ruled out of one of his games this week. |
4 | Domantas Sabonis | IND | 4 | Sabonis Knee injury is behind him and he's simply a monster in the post and he'll help out a ton on both the offensive and defensive glass and if it's needed, he can step out to the elbow and hit jumpers. |
5 | Nikola Vucevic | ORL | 4 | Vucevic will not only see plays in the post, but for some reason the Magic let him work the arc as well and this doesn't make sense since they holes to fill in the paint. Expect a lot of points and boards. |
6 | Clint Capela | HOU | 4 | Capela will continue being the third option for the Rockets and he doesn't have much competition behind him. Isaiah Hartenstein will grab a few minutes, but expect Capela to always play deep into games. |
7 | Deandre Ayton | PHX | 4 | After thinking that Ayton was going to be coming off the bench for the next few weeks, the Suns did start him last week and he'll see a lot of minutes with both Frank Kaminsky and Aron Baynes hurt. |
8 | Jonas Valanciunas | MEM | 4 | Valanciunas is a volume producer who doesn't get a lot of minutes and the Grizzlies don't have a ton of depth behind him. He'll help with points and boards. He's even blocked 1.1 shots per game. |
9 | Rudy Gobert | UT | 3 | Gobert is the second best rebounder in the league and he makes producing double-doubles look easy and the Jazz are another team that doesn't have a lot of front-court depth and he'll block a lot of shots. |
10 | Hassan Whiteside | POR | 3 | Whiteside has been playing 30 minutes per game this season and he should have another month and a half without Zach Collins and Jusuf Nurkic in the lineup taking the ball away from him. |
11 | Steven Adams | OKC | 4 | Adams was battling a Knee injury last week, but he seems to be over it and should be looking at 28-30 minutes per game this week and Nerlens Noel will see a few minutes, but it won't take down Adams. |
12 | Montrezl Harrell | LAC | 4 | Harrell continues to be a major impact player off the bench and he has a fierce drive once he gets fed at the elbow and it's hard to stop him once he hits the post and he'll grab a good amount of boards. |
13 | Jarrett Allen | BKN | 4 | Allen will see more playing time with DeAndre Jordan hurt. Allen's production has suffered a bit especially on offense since Irving returned because Irving spends a ton of time with the ball. |
14 | Derrick Favors | NO | 4 | INJ: There's a chance that Favors has to sit for the Pelicans first game of the week on Monday with a sore Back. Zion Williamson is expected to make his season debut this week but it will come w restrictions. |
15 | Bam Adebayo | MIA | 3 | Adebayo has been one of the most improved players this season and with not a lot of other options backing him up, expect Adebayo to get a ton of time with the ball and he'll help a ton with rebounding. |
16 | Thomas Bryant | WSH | 4 | Bryant just returned from injury and the Wizards haven't given him 20-plus minutes since he was activated. If he isn't sore, his minutes should eclipse 20 a few times this week. |
17 | Marc Gasol | TOR | 4 | Gasol just returned from injury and the Raptors have given him a longer leash than the Wizards gave Bryant. He should see at least 25 minutes per game this week and he has good match ups. |
18 | Mitchell Robinson | NY | 4 | Robinson is awesome at blocking shots and scoring off of put backs and he's done a better job staying out of foul trouble, but it will still haunt him at times. He's played over 22 minutes per game this season. |
19 | Enes Kanter | BOS | 4 | Kanter doesn't need a lot of playing time to produce a double-double and with his only competition for minutes being Daniel Theis , his chances of producing a good amount of points and boards are high. |
20 | Dwight Howard | LAL | 4 | Howard may see his minutes drop a touch with Anthony Davis back on the court, but he's proven that he can be reliable filling in and grabbed double-digit rebounds in five of his last six games. Volume player. |
