Myles Turner (fractured right hand) played 43 minutes during Friday's 120-118 overtime win vs. Orlando, making 9-of-14 shots and three 3-pointers for 22 points, nine boards and three blocks.
Turner has an avulsion fracture that will heal while he plays through it, so it comes down to pain tolerance. “No surgery. No time off," he said on Thursday. "It’s just one of those things you’ve got to get used to." He certainly looked 'used to' the injury tonight, even hitting a nifty pull-up triple after dribbling with his off hand, and he wasn't hesitant at all defensively. It's ironic that the league-leader in blocks (4.1 per game) is dealing with an injury to his dominant hand, but for now it appears it won't slow him down. Crisis averted. Jan 22 10:19 pm (EST)
