How To Use Fantasy Basketball ADP
Fantasy basketball ADP can help managers understand the market before and during a draft. If a player is consistently being selected earlier than expected, their ADP can indicate that the market views them as a high-value draft target. Conversely, players being drafted later than their ranking or projection may present potential value.
Monitor ADP throughout draft season because player roles, injuries, depth charts, team changes and preseason performance can cause draft position to change.
Fantasy Basketball ADP Vs. Rankings
ADP and fantasy basketball rankings provide different types of information. ADP reflects where players are actually being selected in drafts, while rankings represent an evaluation of player value based on projected performance and league settings.
Comparing the two can help identify differences between market draft position and Fantasy Alarm's player evaluations. A player ranked significantly higher than their ADP may warrant additional consideration, while a player being drafted substantially earlier than their ranking may require closer evaluation.
Finding Draft Values With NBA ADP
One of the most useful ways to use NBA ADP is to compare a player's draft position with their projected production and ranking. This can help fantasy managers identify players who may be available later in drafts than expected.
ADP can also reveal broader draft trends, including which positions are being selected early and where certain player tiers are typically coming off the board.
