According to Anthony Slater of The Athletic, the Warriors acquired Andrew Wiggins with the expectation that he’ll be their starting small forward next season.

Unlike D'Angelo Russell, Wiggins may actually stick around for a while and isn't just another contract to flip, Slater adds. However, they won't hesitate to move him if they are suddenly in play for a big name such as Bradley Beal down the road -- the Warriors will have a strong asset pool to work with including a top pick in the 2020 Draft, but they would need Wiggins' contract in potential deals for matching purposes. As far as his current fit with the Warriors, he looked great in a 12-game sample size with 19.4 points, 4.6 rebounds, 3.6 assists, 1.3 steals, 1.4 blocks and 1.7 triples on 45.7% shooting.  May 17 10:37 am (EST)
