C.J. McCollum said his back is "doing okay," but he will know more once he goes in for an official checkup with the Trail Blazers medical staff later this week.
McCollum played through a fractured back during Portland's postseason run, and while he didn't miss any games, it's not a great sign that he's only feeling "okay" after having three months off. He may be limited to start training camp, but we'll have a better idea on where he's at in his recovery after his medical checkup. For now, you may want to bump him down a bit on your draft board, but it is worth noting that McCollum was told back in August that the injury would not require surgery. 4:48 pm (EST)
