Nick Nurse acknowledged that Pascal Siakam was simply off his game in The Bubble.
"He wasn't right," Nurse conceded. "I just think he lost his bounce. He didn't look as athletic or as strong or as fast. He was in tip-top condition in March, but the lack of playing for three or four months hurt him. He couldn't get it going, and he never did get back to where he was conditioning-wise." Siakam was named to his first All-NBA Team with his strong play during the regular season, but he just never got going in The Bubble, fizzling out in the postseason with just 17.7 points per game on 39% shooting. Still, we wouldn't let his abrupt fall-off in extremely unique conditions with a rather small sample size shade your opinions about Spicy P; he'll still make for a quality early-round target next year.
