Point Guard
RANK | NAME | Team | # Games | Analysis |
1 | Damian Lillard | POR | 4 | Lillard takes the top spot as he continues to carry most of the Blazers offensive burden by himself. He gets a little bit more relief when it comes to defense because of the arrival of Trevor Ariza |
2 | Trae Young | ATL | 4 | INJ: Young injured his Ankle on Saturday and we'll have to see if he's healthy enough to make it back to the court on Monday night. John Collins becomes the top scoring option if Young sits. |
3 | Russell Westbrook | HOU | 4 | Westbrook has been shooting a bit better and he benefitted by getting more plays with James Harden not 100 percent and as always he'll be in line for a lot of time with the ball. |
4 | Ben Simmons | PHI | 4 | Simmons could be getting more shooting help prior to the deadline and that will only help his assists. Joel Embiid being back will also help his assists even though the lane won't be as open. |
5 | Malcolm Brogdon | IND | 4 | It'll be interesting to see how much Brogdon's usage falls off if at all as Victor Oladipo gets more involved in the rotation. Regardless, he'll continue to get the most time with the ball. |
6 | Ja Morant | MEM | 4 | Morant is helping the Grizzlies hang on to their Playoff lives and he keeps the offense moving at a quick pace and he's much more of a driver than a jump shooter. |
7 | Ricky Rubio | PHX | 4 | INJ: Rubio is dealing with a sore Ankle and he may have to sit for the Suns first game of the week on Monday and if he's out, Devin Booker will help run the point a bit more. |
8 | Kyle Lowry | TOR | 3 | Lowry will have to handle more of the offense with Marc Gasol and Norman Powell once again injured. It'll be especially helpful for Lowry's production if Fred VanVleet plays more with the second unit. |
9 | D'Angelo Russell | GSW | 3 | INJ: There's a chance that Russell will have to sit for his first game of the week with a sore Quad. If he has to sit, Alec Burks will get a chance to run the point a bit more. |
10 | Kemba Walker | BOS | 4 | INJ: Walker missed his last game with a sore Knee and he will once again sit for Monday's game. Marcus Smart (if healthy) will start in his place and we'll have to see if Walker needs more time out. |
11 | Goran Dragic | MIA | 4 | Dragic has taken advantage of Nunn being banged up and even though he comes off the bench, he gets a lot of time to run the offense and he's stayed pretty healthy this season. |
12 | Patrick Beverley | LAC | 4 | Beverley is once again healthy and he shouldn't be limited this week. He'll help with points, boards, dimes and steals. He'll help more with non-scoring categories and earns his minutes from his defense. |
13 | Dejounte Murray | SAS | 4 | The Spurs guard rotation alone is massive, but Murray has been able to keep his spot and he'll spend more time setting the offense up as it doesn't run through him. He'll still help with dimes. |
14 | Kendrick Nunn | MIA | 4 | Nunn is feeling better and should be in line to run the offense with Jimmy Butler . He has no issue attacking the lane and he has incredible quickness from baseline to baseline. |
15 | Elfrid Payton | NY | 4 | Payton's suspension is over and with a lot of the other Knicks guards hurting, he should be in line for more shots to start the week. The Knicks could be without their top two options on Monday. |
16 | Chris Paul | OKC | 3 | Paul continues to not only help with scoring, but he's been helpful with boards and dimes. He's taken more command of the offense and gets a lot of good looks from the arc. |
17 | Devonte' Graham | CHA | 3 | Graham's production has dropped off a bit since the beginning of the season, but he remains the prioritized scorer because the Hornets don't have a lot of other options that they can rely on. |
18 | De'Aaron Fox | SAC | 3 | The Kings forwards are still injured and that will allow Fox to attack the lane more and he's a strong driver and should continue focusing more on that part of his game rather than settling for jumpers. |
19 | Reggie Jackson | DET | 4 | With Rose hurt and his status for the week currently in question, the Pistons will likely lengthen the leash on Jackson and that should help keep his scoring producing high and he'll get time to run point. |
20 | Derrick Rose | DET | 4 | INJ: Rose hurt his Groin on Sunday and it would be shocking to see him active for Monday's game. Reggie Jackson and Bruce Brown will help run the point until Rose is healthy. |
Shooting Guard
RANK | NAME | Team | # Games | Analysis |
1 | James Harden | HOU | 4 | Harden has been dealing with lower-body pain but it shouldn't cost him any games this week even though he looks like he's playing in pain when on the court. |
2 | Jimmy Butler | MIA | 4 | Butler should be one of the heavy-hitter producers in fantasy this week and besides scoring, he'll also provide a lot of help with grabbing boards and steals. |
3 | Devin Booker | PHX | 4 | If Rubio has to sit at all this week, expect Booker to help run the point a bit more and that will keep him in the game longer and it will certainly help his assist-total go up. |
4 | DeMar DeRozan | SAS | 4 | DeRozan continues to dominate opposing mid-court players because he's able to extend his body when driving to draw contact and to grab rebounds over other board-crashers. |
5 | Jaylen Brown | BOS | 4 | With Walker hurting, Brown will see more shots and if we can even start to see him contribute more assists if Marcus Smart has to sit as well for the Celtics first game of the week. |
6 | CJ McCollum | POR | 4 | McCollum will continue to see more time with the ball when he's in the game with the Blazers second unit. Trevor Ariza will take a few plays from him, but McCollum still has a lot of time to create. |
7 | Bradley Beal | WSH | 3 | Beal is getting more weapons around him back from injury and he should be able to keep his assists up and even though he'll have more players to feed, he'll get the eternal green light to shoot. |
8 | Lou Williams | LAC | 4 | Williams won't get as much time with the ball with Paul George and Patrick Beverley healthy, but he'll still lead the Clippers second unit in scoring and he'll get time at both guard spots. |
9 | Evan Fournier | ORL | 4 | INJ: Fournier has lingering Back pain and it may cost him his first game of the week on Monday. Terrence Ross will see a major bump in usage if Fournier has to sit. |
10 | Marcus Smart | BOS | 4 | INJ: Even though it's looking like Smart won't play, he hasn't been ruled out yet and the Celtics are already down Kemba Walker and if Walker needs to miss more games, Smart will benefit. |
11 | Jrue Holiday | NO | 3 | Holiday's shots haven't been impacted by Zion Williamson being part of the rotation as he and Lonzo Ball continue to score. Holiday will even get a bit of time to run the point. |
12 | Fred VanVleet | TOR | 3 | VanVleet will see more shots with Powell hurt again and even if he comes off the bench, he'll still get a lot of shots with the Raptors second unit and he'll even get time to run the offense. |
13 | Khris Middleton | MIL | 3 | If Giannis Antetokounmpo has to sit at all this week, Middleton will take over as the top scoring option and we can't expect him to go for 50-plus again, but he'll definitely get more shots. |
14 | Donovan Mitchell | UT | 3 | It's sad to see Mitchell and Mike Conley on the floor at the same time because Mitchell spends a lot of time at the arc, but he'll still be the prioritized shooter when all is said and done. |
15 | Dillon Brooks | MEM | 4 | Brooks will see more shots as Memphis bench options have been in and out of the lineup over the last few weeks. Memphis will have to rely more on their starters to score more. |
16 | Kevin Huerter | ATL | 4 | Huerter will potentially get a chance to run the point more if Young has to sit for the Hawks first game of the week. He'll see more time with the ball and more shots and it will help his assists. |
17 | Jeremy Lamb | IND | 4 | Lamb is in a massive time-share for minutes and shots, but he has a little relief to start his week because T.J. Warren is hurt and Lamb can grab some SF minutes this week. |
18 | Andrew Wiggins | MIN | 3 | Wiggins isn't the top option anymore with Karl-Anthony Towns back in the mix, but they don't have as reliable scoring weapons since Jeff Teague got traded and that will benefit wiggins. |
19 | Tim Hardaway Jr. | DAL | 4 | With Luka Doncic hurt, Hardaway will see more shots and become the second scoring option. He'll also benefit when Kristaps Porzingis is held out due to load management. Expect more scoring. |
20 | Eric Gordon | HOU | 4 | Gordon may not see as many shots with Harden healthy, but he'll still get to produce a good amount with the Rockets second unit and will naturally see more shots if Clint Capela sits. |
Small Forward
RANK | NAME | Team | # Games | Analysis |
1 | LeBron James | LAL | 3 | James has been healthy and his injury concerns are behind him for now and he'll still get a lot of time to run the point and compile a ton of assists. |
2 | Kawhi Leonard | LAC | 4 | We all know the deal with Leonard by now. When the Clippers have back to back games like they do on Saturday and Sunday, there's a good chance he gets held out one of the two contests. |
3 | Tobias Harris | PHI | 4 | Harris should look to slash in the lane a lot more with Embiid back in the lineup because Embiid likes to play on the perimeter a bit and that gives Harris more of a chance to get inside. |
4 | Gordon Hayward | BOS | 4 | Hayward will see more shots with Walker hurt and he's been doing a better job on both sides of the ball crashing the boards and it's added more to his game playing more in the lane. |
5 | Kelly Oubre Jr. | PHX | 4 | Oubre will see a lot of spot-up shots, but will attack the lane if it's open and as the Suns best perimeter defenser, he'll never see a shortage of minutes and he'll help with boards and steals. |
6 | Marcus Morris | NY | 4 | INJ: Morris is sick and may have to sit for his first game of the week on Monday. Reggie Bullock and Kevin Knox will see more minutes if he has to sit. |
7 | Brandon Ingram | NO | 3 | Ingram will still see high-scoring nights, but with Williamson starting next to him, it will hit his production at times. Ingram will still get some time to run the point and help in other categories. |
8 | Jae Crowder | MEM | 4 | With some of the mid-court players hurt for Memphis, Crowder will see more shots. He's been helpful defensively and that will keep him in the game and he doesn't have competition for minutes. |
9 | Tyler Herro | MIA | 4 | Herro see's a lot of plays off of the pick-and-pop where he gets a screen at the perimeter and he doesn't even need to be set in order to get off a good three-pointer with his quick release. |
10 | Duncan Robinson | MIA | 4 | Robinson continues to be a beneficial utility player for the Heat who can help guard both the perimeter and the elbow and he'll see a lot of long range shots as one of the Heat's bailout shooters. |
11 | Dorian Finney-Smith | DAL | 4 | Finney-Smith will see a few more shots from the arc with Doncic down. He has one of the safest floors when it comes to playing time because he's a strong defender. |
12 | Danuel House Jr. | HOU | 4 | House's shots will likely go down this week, but he still has a role carved out for him and because P.J. Tucker has to play more in the post, there are more openings at the arc for House to get fed. |
13 | Rudy Gay | SAS | 4 | Gay won't put up the most appealing stat-lines but his minutes are safe and he can still step back and hi three-pointers and he'll grab boards inside and steals in the lane on defense. |
14 | Terrence Ross | ORL | 4 | Ross will see more minutes if Fournier sits and he'll certainly see more shots. The Magic can't rely on other options in their second unit to score consistently and that benefits Ross. |
15 | Will Barton | DEN | 3 | Barton will see playing time at multiple positions and with Jamal Murray still sidelined, he'll even get time to bring up the ball and he'll get plays called for him in the post. |
16 | Taurean Prince | BKN | 3 | Prince see's a lot of shots from the arc and he doesn't have too much competition behind him to take playing time away from him. He'll help a bit with boards. |
17 | Joe Ingles | UT | 3 | Ingles helps out a ton on both sides of the ball and he'll help fantasy owners with percentages. He's a strong shooter and he'll also grab steals on the perimeter. |
18 | Josh Hart | NO | 3 | Hart will continue seeing minutes at both SG and SF and even though the Pelicans are healthy, Hart will be the change of pace player who will run plays off of transition because of his speed. |
19 | Bogdan Bogdanovic | SAC | 3 | Bogdanovic will continue to see more shots with Marvin Bagley III and Richaun Holmes hurt and his main competition for shots will be Harrison Barnes and Nemanja Bjelica . |
20 | T.J. Warren | IND | 4 | INJ: Warren is dealing with a Concussion and it's uncertain whether or not he'll make it back to the lineup for his second game of the week. |
Power Forward
RANK | NAME | Team | # Games | Analysis |
1 | Giannis Antetokounmpo | MIL | 3 | INJ: Antetokounmpo is dealing with a sore Hamstring and he's not 100 percent but is playing through the pain. Khris Middleton would become the Bucks top option if Antetokounmpo needs to sit. |
2 | John Collins | ATL | 4 | Even with Young back in the lineup, the Hawks still lack skilled Center's and it's up to Collins to provide any kind of consistent offense in the post. |
3 | Anthony Davis | LAL | 3 | Davis hasn't looked back since returning from injury and he'll continue to swap between PF and C throughout the game and he'll continue to be the Lakers second scoring option. |
4 | Jayson Tatum | BOS | 4 | Tatum will see more shots with Walker hurt and being that the Celtics don't have a lot of front court depth, Tatum will be called upon to set up a good amount in the post. |
5 | LaMarcus Aldridge | SAS | 4 | Aldridge shouldn't be limited this week. He was dealing with a Thumb injury and he should be able to handle a full workload and be a multi-category producer this week. |
6 | Paul George | LAC | 4 | George does not have an injury designation but seeing the Clippers have a back to back this week, it wouldn't be surprising to see them give George a rest game to preserve his health. |
7 | Kristaps Porzingis | DAL | 4 | INJ: While it isn't confirmed, don't be shocked if the Mavs decide to hold out Porzingis on either Friday or Saturday because of injury management purposes. It doesn't matter that Doncic is out. |
8 | Julius Randle | NY | 4 | INJ: Randle is dealing with an injured Quad and he may have to sit for his first game of the week on Monday. Bobby Portis and Mitchell Robinson will see more minutes and usage if Randle can't go. |
9 | Al Horford | PHI | 4 | Horford is healthy and should be able to play the full week and not as much defensive pressure will be on him with Embiid back in the lineup. He'll still take shots from downtown if needed. |
10 | Jaren Jackson Jr. | MEM | 4 | Jackson in back in action and due to the Grizzlies not having a lot of depth up front, Jackson will get a lot of plays called for him at the elbow and arc and he'll also help block shots. |
11 | Pascal Siakam | TOR | 3 | Siakam will continue to see his minutes go up and with Gasol hurt, more plays will be called for him in the post and he still has no problem driving the lane. It's hard to stop him on the drive. |
12 | Aaron Gordon | ORL | 4 | Gordon will continue to see more plays with Jonathan Isaac still out and if Fournier has to sit for a game or two expect Gordon to pick up even more shots behind Nikola Vucevic . |
13 | Carmelo Anthony | POR | 4 | The Blazers still lack PF depth and Anthony will continue to see a lot of minutes and even with Ariza taking more bailout three's, it will allow Anthony to play a bit more in the post on offense. |
14 | Myles Turner | IND | 4 | Turner will see more shots with Warren hurt and he'll get set up a good amount from the arc and he'll also help pull down boards. Domantas Sabonis handles more of the low-post. |
15 | Kevin Love | CLE | 3 | Love will continue producing a lot from the arc, but he will cut inside and even give the Cavs second-chance scoring opportunities. He takes nearly 13 shots per game. |
16 | Brandon Clarke | MEM | 4 | Clarke had been dealing with a minor Hip injury but he should be good to go for Memphis full slate of games. |
17 | P.J. Tucker | HOU | 4 | Tucker will see more playing time in the post and that should help his rebounding numbers a bit because the Rockets want to start a smaller lineup. He'll be camping out less at the arc this week. |
18 | Danilo Gallinari | OKC | 3 | Gallinari has done a good job grabbing long boards. He takes a lot of shots from the arc and doesn't have competition at his position, but he'll wait after he shoots to see if the play ends. |
19 | Zion Williamson | NO | 3 | Williamson is already being given more playing time than expected. He's been put into the rotation a lot quicker and he's been helping out with scoring and rebounding. |
20 | Serge Ibaka | TOR | 3 | Ibaka will see more minutes and starts with Gasol hurt and we saw what he could he could do when given a bigger role and Ibaka has played less at the arc and more in the post when filling in. |
Center
RANK | NAME | Team | # Games | Analysis |
1 | Andre Drummond | DET | 4 | Drummond takes the top spot as he's always in the running for a huge rebounding night and without Balke Griffin in the lineup to take the ball away from him, he'll get a lot of touches. |
2 | Joel Embiid | PHI | 4 | Embiid looks like he's fully healthy and he shouldn't have any limitations this week when it comes to playing time and he'll continue being the prioritzed scorer. |
3 | Hassan Whiteside | POR | 4 | Whiteside has had a tremendous season and he's proven that he can handle more playing time and he's been very productive when it's come to scoring and grabbing boards. |
4 | Domantas Sabonis | IND | 4 | Sabonis is fully healthy and he's been a monster in the paint this year and he's done a good job keeping plays alive and he'll help big time with points and boards. |
5 | Nikola Vucevic | ORL | 4 | Vucevic will see more shots if Fournier sits as well and don't put it past him to step back and start firing shots from the outside as the Magic's top scoring option. |
6 | Karl-Anthony Towns | MIN | 3 | Towns has been able to stay healthy and he would be higher on this list if he had a full slate of games and he continues to be the Timberwolves top option. |
7 | Bam Adebayo | MIA | 4 | Adebayo continues his strong season and will be in the All-Star Game because of his dominance in the post and he's even had to bring up the ball at times as well. |
8 | Deandre Ayton | PHX | 4 | Ayton has been starting recently and he continues to help a ton with points, boards and blocks and until Aron Baynes and Frank Kaminsky are healthy, Ayton will continue to get fed a ton. |
9 | Nikola Jokic | DEN | 3 | Jokic doesn't have a full slate, but he's been a lot more productive in recent weeks and he'll not only help score a ton of points, but he'll help dish a good amount of assists as well. |
10 | Jonas Valanciunas | MEM | 4 | Valanciunas has been getting more minutes and because Memphis doesn't have a lot of depth behind him, we can expect his minutes to be more in the late-20s/early-30s area. |
11 | Rudy Gobert | UT | 3 | Gobert is a monster when it comes to boards and blocks and even though he's not the best defender, he'll make up for it on the offensive end and he'll score from the low block. |
12 | Montrezl Harrell | LAC | 4 | Harrell is always produtive because he gets to run a decent amount with the Clippers second unit and doesn't have to compete with Kawhi Leonard for shots. |
13 | Mitchell Robinson | NY | 4 | INJ: Robinson is dealing with a sore Hamstring but he should be able to play in Monday's game and he may have the post alone if Morris and Randle sit out. |
14 | Daniel Theis | BOS | 4 | Enes Kanter and Robert Williams continue to be injured and Theis is the last man standing when it comes to the Celtics big men and we can expect him to log more minutes until Kanter returns. |
15 | Maxi Kleber | DAL | 4 | Kleber will help stretch the floor because of his ability to hit three-pointers and with Dwight Powell 's season over, he'll split time with Willie Cauley-Stein . He'll benefit when Porzingis sits. |
16 | Willie Cauley-Stein | DAL | 4 | Cauley-Stein should see minutes in the early-to-mid-20's for now as he gets more adjusted into the Mavs offense and he'll produce mainly from the low-block right under the basket. |
17 | Ivica Zubac | LAC | 4 | Zubac is a volume player but he has a full slate this week and should see close to 20 minutes per game this week. He's grabbed nine boards per game over the last two weeks. |
18 | Jarrett Allen | BKN | 3 | Even with DeAndre Jordan back in the lineup, Allen should still be the prioritized big man in Brooklyn. He's played at least 27 minutes in his last 4 games and he's blocked multiple shots in each game. |
19 | Tristan Thompson | CLE | 3 | Thompson is averaging a double-double this season and he logs a lot of minutes and blocks nearly one shot per game. He doesn't have to worry about losing minutes to Larry Nance Jr. |
20 | Clint Capela | HOU | 4 | INJ: Capela has sat out his last two games with pain in his Heel and his status for Tuesday's game is currently undetermined. The Rockets will go small if Capela can't play and P.J. Tucker will be the Center. |
