D. Waiters - SG
Dion Waiters (left groin) is questionable for Saturday's Game 5 matchup with the Nuggets.
This is the first time Waiters is being listed as questionable since going down with the groin injury, which is progress, but whether he plays or not will not make a difference in fantasy hoops.

Anthony Davis (left ankle) is being listed as questionable for Game 5 against the Nuggets on Saturday.
Frank Vogel said he was expecting Davis to be good to go for Game 5, so we'd say he's a lot closer to probable for tomorrow's closeout game. Check back for another update following Saturday's shootaround.

M. Chriss - PF
Steve Kerr believes Marquese Chriss can "get a lot better" next season.
The Dubs team could look a lot different after the draft and free agency, but right now, it looks like Chriss will be battling Kevon Looney for the starting center spot next year. If they don't bring on another big man, and Chriss can secure the starting spot at training camp, then he'll be someone to consider taking with a late-round pick on draft day. Across 21 starts this past season, Chriss put in averages of 12.7 points, 7.8 boards, 2.6 dimes, 1.0 steal and 1.4 swats per contest on 59.2% shooting.

Frank Vogel said that Anthony Davis (ankle) and LeBron James (thigh) are a little sore, but they'll be good to go for Game 5 on Saturday.
Davis tweaked his ankle in Game 4 and James got kneed in the thigh, but they both played through it, and we were never worried about either of these guys missing Saturday's potential closeout game. Expect another big line from The Brow, as he's the greatest mismatch in this series.

K. Thompson - SG
Klay Thompson participated in Friday's light practice.
Thompson has been sidelined since tearing his ACL in Game 6 of the 2019 NBA Finals, so this is a huge milestone. He's had roughly 15 months to recover since then, and with the next season unlikely to begin until January at the earliest we like his chances of hitting the ground running. "This was his first practice coming off an ACL injury," said Steve Kerr. "I didn't expect him to be in top form and he was not. But he moved well and it was a great first step. Klay got a lot of good work in and was able to gauge where he is right now."

N. Mirotic - PF
Nikola Mirotic has extended his contract with Barcelona through the 2024-25 season.
Mirotic shocked many when he turned down several NBA offers last season to head overseas, but you can't blame him for wanting to play on one of the best teams in his home country at this point in his career. “I’m very happy and very grateful to the club for this new opportunity," he said in a statement. "I’m happy to have extended my contract. 2025 sounds great. So many years wearing this shirt and hopefully achieving further success. I look forward to repaying that trust.”

F. VanVleet - PG
Raptors coach Nick Nurse said in a radio interview on Thursday that he'd be "pretty surprised" if Fred VanVleet doesn't re-sign with Toronto.
We would be surprised too, as the Raptors have made their intentions very clear -- Raptors president Masai Ujiri said last week that re-signing VanVleet this offseason is a "big-time priority." FVV is the top unrestricted free agent guard available in this class and should command one of the largest pay days of the summer.

D. Howard - C
Dwight Howard started Game 4 on Thursday, racking up 12 points on 5-of-6 FGs and 2-of-3 FTs, 11 boards, one assist and one steal in 23 minutes.
Howard made an impact from the start of this series and he'd always been considered as a replacement for starting center JaVale McGee. Neither of L.A.'s centers had a big role vs. the small-ball Rockets in the Conference Semifinals, but it's a different story vs. Nikola Jokic and the Nuggets. Dwight had eight points on 4-of-4 shooting with eight boards in the first quarter of Game 4, so it stands to reason that he'll also start Game 5 on Saturday.
