Mock Draft Army ADP Trend Report for Standard Leagues

As you may have seen Monday, we’re starting to look at ADP trends now that the Mock Draft Army has been working the fantasy football drafts for the past month. With the rash of injuries we’ve seen and position battles being won and lost, studying the trends is going to be huge for you on Draft Day as it will help you see just how high you may have to reach for Davante Adams or Devin Funchess now that Jordy Nelson and Kelvin Benjamin are done for the year. It also shows you where you might be able to steal a guy like Arian Foster given that he should be back at some point mid-season.

Here is the Trend Report for the standard league (non-PPR) drafts that we have done, as well as some risers and fallers you may want to keep your eye on.

Risers

Alfred Blue, RB HOU (+41.0%) – As different as PPR and standard leagues can be, they are also very similar. Just like in PPR, Blue has seen a significant rise since Arian Foster’s injury. Not as big a rise here in standard, but big enough to pay attention.

Doug Martin, RB TB (+33.9%) – Similarly to Blue, the Muscle Hamster has risen quickly through the ADP ranks with word out of Bucs camp that he will be the No. 1 in Tampa Bay this season.

Davante Adams, WR GB (+21.7) – Here’s something interesting as Adams has been on the rise in standard play even before Nelson’s injury. He wasn’t in PPR leagues due to the lack of targets, but those who just want yards and touchdowns have been champing at the bit for this guy for a while.

David Cobb, RB TEN (+19.9%) – As you’ll see with a majority of the running backs, both starters and back-ups, there has been a steady increase in ADP. When you’re moving through those middle to later rounds, you alwys want to take a shot on a running back over a wide receiver. There’s obviously not a lot of faith in Bishop Sankey which puts Cobb on a lot of people’s radar.

Fallers

**Once again, we can skip the write-ups for guys like Foster, Benjamin and Kevin White. Pay attention to Foster’s ADP before you draft, but the guys who are done for the season are dropping in the ADP ranks because they’re simply no longer being drafted.

Coby Fleener, TE IND (-35.2%) – For some reason he was going fairly high among the tight ends, but the more work Dwayne Allen was seen in practice, the less attractive Fleener was looking. He’s a better PPR option than Allen, but Allen is the guy who sees more of the red zone looks.

Darren Sproles, RB PHI (-27.8%) – With both DeMarco Murray and Ryan Mathews leading the charge out of the backfield and with so many mouths to feed in Philadelphia, owners are being scared away from Sproles. While he can be incredibly effective, there is a clear-cut problem with targets right now. His drop in ADP just shows that everyone knows it.

Matthew Stafford, QB DET (-24.7%) – Overall, people are finally understanding that you can wait on a quarterback and still land yourself a top-10 guy. The Lions have also come out and said they want to be less reliant on just chucking the ball downfield all the time and that’s obviously Stafford’s fantasy bread and butter. He’s still going to be a top-10 guy, but it’s rounds 8-10 where he lives now and not five or six.

Andre Ellington, RB ARI (-19.3%) – Unfortunately, there’s a lot working against Ellington now. The Cardinals drafted David Johnson and then signed Chris Johnson just a few short weeks ago. On top of that, the offensive line and the ground game took a huge blow when Mike Iupati was lost for the season. He’s still going to be the primary guy in Arizona, but he might be a guy you settle for these days rather than target.
