The 2026 NFL season moves into Week 3 with an action-packed Sunday main slate filled with shootout opportunities and high-leverage divisional rivalries. Building winning rosters requires hitting the optimal blend of chalky high-floor anchors and sneaky tournament leverage, much like our results last week.

Our Playbook and NFL DFS Week 3 Example Lineups are riding tremendous momentum following another strong week. Last week, main-slate builds were powered by difference-making top plays like a massive Dak Prescott/CeeDee Lamb Cowboys stack alongside a hyper-targeted Garrett Wilson. To top it off, crucial salary savers like Rashod Bateman and Dalton Schultz yielded critical points-per-dollar production that allowed managers to cash easily across DraftKings and FanDuel contests. As we pivot to Sunday's main slate and create our NFL DFS Week 3 Example Lineups, it will be essential to capture multi-touchdown ceilings while navigating changing injury reports and late-breaking weather shifts.

NFL DFS Week 3 Example Lineup Preview

Constructing optimal NFL DFS Week 3 Example Lineups requires balancing elite, high-priced studs with calculated value plays across both major platforms. On DraftKings, where PPR scoring and 300-yard/100-yard bonuses reign supreme, targeting high-volume pass catchers and dual-threat quarterbacks inside fast-paced dome setups provides the safest baseline for cash games and GPPs alike. On FanDuel, half-PPR scoring makes touchdown equity and early-down workhorse volume paramount, putting a premium on elite goal-line running backs.

Sunday’s main slate offers several distinct game-stacking environments to center your rosters around:

Whether you are entering head-to-head cash games or 150-max tournament field GPPs, utilizing our NFL DFS Week 3 Example Lineups as a core structural template gives you a massive head start over the field.

NFL Week 3 Sunday Morning Notes

  • Steelers RB Jaylen Warren, listed as questionable for today due to a shoulder injury, is expected to play vs. the Bengals
  • Vikings RB DeeJay Dallas (toe) was removed from the injury report and will play in Week 3 against the Buccaneers.
  • With a high-ankle sprain, Broncos RB Jonah Coleman now will miss the next few games and be placed on short-term injured reserve
  • Ravens are working out WR Zay Flowers pre game to determine whether he can play with his hamstring injury vs. the Cowboys. One source called it a “true pre-game decision”, but the team doesn’t sound as if it is counting on him playing.
  • NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport said “it seems like” 49ers WR Mike Evans (hip) “has a pretty good chance” to play in Week 3 against the Cardinals.
  • Steelers WR Michael Pittman, listed as questionable for Sunday due to a foot injury, is expected to play vs. the Bengals.
  • Bengals have placed WR Andrei Iosivas on injured reserve
  • Chig Okonkwo (hamstring) will not play in Washington’s Week 3 game against the Seahawks.
  • Chargers placed guard/tackle Trey Pipkins III on injured reserve, signed quarterback DJ Uiagalelei to their active roster and elevated tight end Patrick Herbert to their active roster.

Weather Report for Sunday, 9/27

Weather monitoring is a critical pre-lock step for DFS players on Sunday morning, as strong winds and rain directly impact passing efficiency, kicking accuracy, and play-calling tendencies. Here is the forecast breakdown for the Week 3 main slate:

  • Tennessee Titans at New York Giants (MetLife Stadium): CRITICAL WEATHER IMPACT. A coastal Nor'easter brings heavy sustained winds (17–18 mph with gusts reaching up to 40 mph) accompanied by a 85%+ chance of continuous rain throughout the game. Deep passing attacks and long field goals carry massive risk here. Expect both teams to lean heavily on short check-downs and ground attacks.
  • Seattle Seahawks at Washington Commanders (Northwest Stadium): MODERATE IMPACT. Driven by the same Mid-Atlantic storm system, this matchup faces moderate rainfall (40–45% chance) and sustained winds of 18–20 mph with gusts near 28 mph. Passing efficiency could take a slight hit, favoring short-area target vacuums and workhorse backs.
  • Cincinnati Bengals at Pittsburgh Steelers (Acrisure Stadium): Mild temperatures in the mid-60s with winds sustained around 12–14 mph and gusts up to 21 mph. Minor breeze, but not enough to significantly alter offensive game plans.
  • Los Angeles Chargers at Buffalo Bills (Highmark Stadium): Temperatures in the mid-60s with sustained north-northeast winds around 10–14 mph and gusts up to 25 mph. Minor impact on long kicks, but zero rain risk means both passing offenses remain fully viable.

Top Picks for Week 3 at FanDuel

My NFL DFS Week 3 Example Lineups for FanDuel contests are built in the same fashion as those on DraftKings. I start with my foundation and build up from there. It shouldn’t come as much of a surprise considering it’s only Week 3, but many of my FanDuel lineups will include the above players as well as some of these:

Most of the time the foundation will probably be the same, but considering the nuances between half-point and full-point scoring, you’ll notice that my flex on DraftKings is typically a receiver or tight end, while on FanDuel, it’s usually a running back.
