Jonah Coleman was selected by Denver in the fourth round (108th overall) of the 2026 NFL Draft out of Washington, capping a college career that also included two seasons at Arizona. He was one of the more complete backs in this draft class, rushing for 1,102 yards and 17 touchdowns in his final college season, and he fell to Round 4 largely over straight-line speed concerns rather than any real hole in his game.
2026 Fantasy Outlook
Coleman has been the standout story of Denver's training camp, with head coach Sean Payton saying flatly, "you don't feel a rookie with Jonah." He is a three-down profile, unlike RJ Harvey, who managed just 3.7 yards per carry in an inefficient rookie season last year, and reports out of camp already have him drawing praise as a quality pass protector, an area where the lighter Harvey has never been able to hold up. He checks in as the consensus RB47 in a crowded Denver backfield behind Harvey and the oft-injured J.K. Dobbins, but the fourth-round price tag looks light given how camp has actually gone, and several analysts have already called him one of the steals of the entire draft class. If either Harvey or Dobbins struggles or misses time, Coleman looks like the back best positioned to seize the job in a Bo Nix offense that should be more functional in Year 3. He is a late-round flier and a boom-or-bust stash in best-ball formats, and dynasty managers should be treating him as one of the more underpriced rookie backs in this class.
