2025 Season Recap
Trey McBride had the best season any tight end has ever had not named Travis Kelce, finishing as the overall TE1 with 126 catches for 1,239 yards and 11 touchdowns across all 17 games. He led all tight ends in targets (169), target share (27.5%), and fantasy points (252.9), averaging 14.9 points per game, a number that would have made him a fringe WR1 if he were a wide receiver. He earned his first Pro Bowl selection and established himself as the unquestioned best tight end in football.
2026 Fantasy Outlook
McBride is the consensus TE2 and frankly there is a real argument he should be the TE1. His target share was the engine of Arizona's entire passing attack regardless of which quarterback was throwing him the ball, and that level of usage is about as safe a foundation as exists at the position. The Cardinals' quarterback competition between Jacoby Brissett, Gardner Minshew, and rookie Carson Beck creates some uncertainty, but McBride proved in 2025 he produces no matter who is under center. He is a top-20 overall pick and arguably the safest player at any position outside the elite running backs and receivers.
