2025 Season Recap
Sam LaPorta's 2025 season was limited to just nine games due to injury, but his per-game production remained elite when healthy. He caught 40 passes for 489 yards and three touchdowns, averaging 9.7 fantasy points per game, a top-five mark at the position. When on the field, he remained one of Jared Goff's most trusted targets in Detroit's high-powered offense.
2026 Fantasy Outlook
LaPorta is the consensus TE8, and the per-game numbers tell the real story: he was a borderline TE1 overall whenever he was healthy enough to play. Detroit's offense remains one of the best environments in football for a tight end, with Goff throwing for over 4,500 yards and 34 touchdowns in 2025 even in his first year without Ben Johnson. If LaPorta plays a full season in 2026, a top-five finish is very much in play. He is a value pick at his current price given the per-game ceiling he has already shown.
