Welcome to the NFL DFS Week 5 Example Lineups!
We enter our first official bye week stretch, leaving us with an action-packed 11-game main slate on DraftKings and FanDuel. Before we lock in our builds for this week, let's build on our Week 4 success! Our DFS Playbook delivered slate-breaking performance across all contest formats. Core staples like Kyren Williams handled massive volume to smash value, while Nico Collins erupted downfield for elite ceiling output. Even better, our tournament bargain calls hit in a big way, highlighted by Jameis Winston providing incredible point-per-dollar passing numbers and Emanuel Wilson efficiency delivering massive return on investment. Examining our NFL DFS Week 5 Example Lineups helps bridge the gap between initial strategy and building winning cash game and GPP contest rosters.
NFL DFS Week 5 Example Lineup Preview
When breaking down this 11-game Sunday main slate, the immediate focal point for the fantasy community will be the shootout potential between the Detroit Lions and Arizona Cardinals. Game stackers and mainstream DFS participants are expected to flock heavily to this game environment due to its high projected total, fast pace, and elite target concentration featuring superstars like Jahmyr Gibbs, Amon-Ra St. Brown, and Trey McBride.
Because ownership projection will be heavily concentrated in this game, securing exposure to it is key for cash game lineups, where eating good chalk is standard play. However, in large-field GPP tournaments, finding unique ways to differentiate your builds, whether through skinny stacks, run-back pivots, or pairing different games with high-yield value plays, is crucial to separating yourself from the crowd. Checking in with more balanced NFL DFS Week 5 Example Lineups allows you to best navigate the ownership spikes while maintaining maximum tournament ceiling.

Weather Report for Sunday, 10/11
Weather conditions across the country present a few key spots to monitor when constructing your NFL DFS Week 5 Example Lineups:
- Cincinnati Bengals at Miami Dolphins: A slim chance for some rain and a 10mph sustained wind. Pretty typical stuff for SoFla.
- Cleveland Browns at New York Jets: Sloppy game. It rains pregame, it rains all game, it rains postgame. I'm not saying it's the heaviest rain ever, it's not, but it is many many hours of steady rain. I expect the rain to have a significant impact on offensive efficiency. It's also a bit breezy, with near 15mph sustained winds and gusts around 25mph, but I think the wind is less of an issue than the constant rain.
- Houston Texans at Tennessee Titans: It continues to look to me like all of the rain comes pregame, and we're dry by gametime. Winds are slightly breezy, maybe 10+mph sustained, gusts 15-20mph, but that's not enough to really impact things.
- Indianapolis Colts at Pittsburgh Steelers: A lot of rain pregame, and a decent amount in-game too. I don't expect this one gets as sloppy as the Jets game, but it's certainly wet at times, and that can impact the passing game. Winds are manageable, 10mph sustained with gusts around 20mph.
- New York Giants at Washington Commanders: This one is more like the PIT game than the NYJ game, meaning there's a whole lot of pregame rain, then still some lingering in-game rain. I'd expect more rain in the first half of the game than the 2nd. Winds are similarly worse early than late, maybe 10-15mph sustained with gusts to 25mph in the first half, down to 5-10mph with no gust issues in the 2nd half.
