Week 5 gave us plenty to chew on. Puka Nacua caught 17 passes in a 37-34 overtime loss to the Bills, the Giants and Commanders played to a 27-27 tie, and the 49ers beat Seattle 32-29 to stay unbeaten. Now the Bengals, Lions, Dolphins, and Vikings are on bye, which leaves 14 games, and if you're hunting for the best NFL games to watch this weekend, building a DFS lineup, or just trying to figure out which NFL games this week deserve your couch time, we've got a Thursday night showdown in Denver, a London morning kickoff at Wembley, and two games with a 53.5 total. Big spread? Somebody's about to get run off the field. Tight line? Strap in. Total pushing past 50? Every fantasy manager I know already has three tabs open on it.

Here's the whole slate, my Game of the Week, the division fights worth your attention, the live dogs I actually like, and where the fantasy and DFS value is hiding.

Best NFL Games to Watch This Week

Five games separate themselves from the pack as the best NFL games to watch this week, and it's not just the number on the spread. Quarterback injuries, primetime stakes, and some wild scoring totals all factor in.

Dallas Cowboys @ Green Bay Packers (Sunday Night Football): Green Bay is a 1.5-point favorite with a 53.5 total, and both offenses have the weapons to make that look low. Christian Watson has 474 receiving yards, fifth in the league, and Matthew Golden has chipped in 397, while Jordan Love has been sharp even though the Packers can't run the ball. Dallas counters with Dak Prescott, CeeDee Lamb (507 yards, third in the NFL), and George Pickens, but the Cowboys are coming off a humbling 24-16 home loss to Tampa Bay on Thursday night.

Buffalo Bills @ Las Vegas Raiders (Sunday, 4:25 PM ET): The Bills lead the NFL in scoring and just outlasted the Rams 37-34 in overtime, and Las Vegas has a 53.5 total of its own to answer with. Kirk Cousins has 12 touchdown passes and Brock Bowers has 312 receiving yards, but the Raiders have dropped two in a row, including a blowout loss at New England. Buffalo is a 5.5-point favorite, and this has shootout written all over it.

Chicago Bears @ Atlanta Falcons: A 50.5 total with Chicago a 2.5-point favorite, and two quarterback situations that need watching. Caleb Williams is working his way back from a hamstring injury after Tyson Bagent and Case Keenum managed just seven points in a 31-7 loss at Green Bay, while Michael Penix left Atlanta's 30-23 overtime loss to Baltimore with a rib injury. The star either way is Bijan Robinson, whose 580 rushing yards lead the NFL.

Seattle Seahawks @ Denver Broncos (Thursday Night Football): The defending Super Bowl champs are 3-2 and coming off a four-turnover loss to San Francisco, while the 3-2 Broncos beat the Chargers 23-17 and have been tough to beat at home. Seattle is a 2.5-point favorite, and the total is a low 40.5 because both offenses have been inconsistent. Sam Darnold threw two picks against the 49ers, and Bo Nix has an offense that ranks 26th in scoring.

Washington Commanders @ San Francisco 49ers (Monday Night Football): The 49ers are 5-0 and favored by 7.5 with a 50.5 total. Jayden Daniels is back from his dislocated elbow and ran for 100 yards in the tie against the Giants, but the 49ers have Brock Purdy playing like an MVP candidate. Washington is 1-3-1 and has a lot to prove on a national stage.

NFL Game of the Week

My NFL Game of the Week is Cowboys at Packers on Sunday Night Football, and the number tells you why. Green Bay is only a 1.5-point favorite with a 53.5 total, which is the market's way of saying it expects two offenses to trade punches and two defenses to have trouble stopping anybody. Primetime at Lambeau, a historic rivalry, and a total that sits at the top of the board is the whole package.

Start with the Packers. Jordan Love has been the engine, and he's gotten better as the offensive line has settled in. Green Bay's line played well in each of the last two games despite injuries and could get bodies back this week. Love also has a track record against this opponent, throwing six touchdown passes in his last two meetings with Dallas. The target tree is deeper than people give it credit for, with Christian Watson at 474 receiving yards, fifth in the league, and Matthew Golden at 397. Here's the catch: the Packers can't run the ball, so everything funnels through Love's arm, and the defense has just five sacks in five games. Micah Parsons (knee) isn't expected to make his return, which means the pass rush that was supposed to change this team still isn't there.

Now the Cowboys. Dak Prescott has the receivers to light up any secondary, with CeeDee Lamb at 507 receiving yards, third in the NFL, and George Pickens at 355 and coming off a nine-catch, 130-yard, touchdown night against Tampa Bay. Dallas also converts in the red zone at a high rate. But that Thursday loss to the Buccaneers, a 24-16 game where the Cowboys gave up 17 straight points in the third quarter and Prescott threw two interceptions, showed what's wrong. The secondary has had far too many coverage busts, and a unit that can't hold up against a rookie quarterback making his second start is going to have a long night against Love and his receivers. The bright side is that Dallas had a few extra days of rest after playing last Thursday.

The matchup that decides it is Dallas's secondary against Green Bay's receivers, and I'd lean toward Green Bay winning that battle. Watch the first drive of the second half, because that's where the Cowboys have come unglued (Tampa outgained them 197 to 59 in the third quarter last week). Also watch how Green Bay handles the red zone, since the Packers have struggled to finish drives on the ground. The Packers have won five of the last six meetings in this series with one tie, and I think this one comes down to a late possession. Give me the over and give me Love, with the Packers by a field goal. This is the game I'd clear my Sunday night for.

My strong runner-up: Bears at Falcons. The two best ground games in the league meet in Atlanta with a 50.5 total, and the quarterback news could swing the line all week. If Williams plays, Chicago is the pick. If not, the Falcons get interesting.

Best Division Matchups

Six division games this week, and a couple of them have real standings implications.

Houston Texans @ Jacksonville Jaguars (AFC South, London): Jacksonville is 4-1 and has allowed just 70 points all season, while Houston picked up its first win last week and is 1-4. The Jaguars are 2.5-point favorites at Wembley.

Baltimore Ravens @ Cleveland Browns (AFC North): Baltimore is 4-1 after beating Atlanta in overtime with Tyler Huntley, and Lamar Jackson has a real chance to return. Cleveland is 3-2 after a 17-12 loss at the Jets and a tough home team.

New York Jets @ New England Patriots (AFC East): New England has won two straight behind Drake Maye, whose MVP odds jumped from +4000 to +1600. The Jets snapped a three-game skid with eight sacks against Cleveland, and New England is a 7.5-point favorite.

Tennessee Titans @ Indianapolis Colts (AFC South): Tennessee is 0-5 and has scored fewer points than any team in the league. The Colts are 2-3 and favored by 7, with Jonathan Taylor's 398 rushing yards and eight rushing scores doing most of the work.

Los Angeles Chargers @ Kansas City Chiefs (AFC West): Kansas City is 4-0 coming off its bye and an 8.5-point favorite, while the Chargers are 0-5 after a 23-17 loss to Denver.

Arizona Cardinals @ Los Angeles Rams (NFC West): The Rams are a 12.5-point favorite, the biggest spread of the week, as they look to bounce back from that overtime loss to Buffalo. Arizona is 1-4.

Potential NFL Upsets This Week

Want value on the underdog side? These are the NFL games this week where I think the numbers say an upset is squarely in play, and I'm not afraid to say it.

Cleveland Browns (+188 ML) vs. Baltimore Ravens (-5.5): Lamar Jackson's status is the swing here, and even if he plays, Cleveland is 3-2 against the spread and has been tough at home. Quinshon Judkins was in a walking boot after the loss to the Jets, so his status is worth tracking.

Denver Broncos (+120 ML) vs. Seattle Seahawks (-2.5): Seattle is on a short week after a four-turnover loss, and Denver's secondary has had injury issues, but the Broncos have won both home games and covered both. The market has this close for a reason.

Las Vegas Raiders (+225 ML) vs. Buffalo Bills (-5.5): The Raiders have lost two in a row, but Cousins has been terrific, and Buffalo has one of the worst red-zone defenses in the league. A +225 ticket on a team that can score with anybody is worth a look.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers (+122 ML) vs. Pittsburgh Steelers (-2.5): Undrafted rookie Jalon Daniels just beat Dallas, and Bucky Irving ran for 165 yards, and Baker Mayfield has a chance to return from his thumb injury. Pittsburgh is coming off a 34-22 win over Indianapolis, but this is a home spot for a Tampa team finding itself.

New York Giants (+1.5) vs. New Orleans Saints (-1.5): The Giants are 3-0 against the spread at home, and Jameis Winston just threw for 326 yards and three touchdowns in the tie at Washington. New Orleans is 1-4, and its defense ranks 29th in EPA per play.

Best Games for Fantasy Football

If you're setting lineups, these are the best NFL games this week to chase for fantasy production. The totals already told us which offenses are getting turned loose. Listen to them.

Dallas Cowboys @ Green Bay Packers (53.5 total): Lamb, Pickens, Watson, and Golden all have paths to a big night, and neither secondary has stopped anyone.

Buffalo Bills @ Las Vegas Raiders (53.5 total): Josh Allen and the league's top-scoring offense against Cousins and Bowers. Everybody in this game is in play.

Arizona Cardinals @ Los Angeles Rams (51.5 total): The Rams lead the league in passing yards, with Davante Adams at 441 and Nacua at 337, and Nacua just saw 24 targets in one game. Arizona's defense is among the league's worst.

Chicago Bears @ Atlanta Falcons (50.5 total): Robinson is the headliner, and Drake London and the Bears' backfield are worth watching depending on how the quarterback situations shake out.

Washington Commanders @ San Francisco 49ers (50.5 total): Purdy is playing at a high level, and Daniels gives Washington a dual-threat quarterback who can keep pace if he's healthy.

Best Games for DFS

For DFS, you want a high total paired with a spread tight enough to keep both offenses on the field deep into the fourth quarter. That combo is where the real, usable value hides on any given slate.

Dallas Cowboys @ Green Bay Packers: A 53.5 total with a 1.5-point spread is the best game stack on the board, and Sunday night gives you a late-swap look.

Chicago Bears @ Atlanta Falcons: A 50.5 total and a 2.5-point spread keep both sides live. Check the quarterback news before you commit.

Buffalo Bills @ Las Vegas Raiders: A 53.5 total gets you a high-scoring environment, and Raiders pieces carry leverage if the market overlooks them as a 5.5-point home underdog.

New Orleans Saints @ New York Giants: A 45.5 total and a 1.5-point spread. Chris Olave has 537 receiving yards, second in the NFL, and the Giants have a ground game plus Malik Nabers and Isaiah Likely, who both had big games last week.

Houston Texans @ Jacksonville Jaguars: A 42.5 total is modest, but Stroud and Nico Collins against Lawrence and Parker Washington is a clean two-way stack at Wembley.
