There is a distinct possibility that the NFC North will be the best division in both real and fantasy football.

There’s the nice draw of getting to play the AFC East this year. Then there’s the nice consistency with the good stuff, and the changes for the bad stuff.

Good stuff = Aaron Rodgers , Vikings wide receivers, Jordan Howard beasting with all the defenders in the box, getting to say the name Jim Bob Cooter.

Bad stuff that changed to good stuff = Kirk Cousins upgrade, Green Bay tight end upgrade, offensive coaching upgrade in Chicago, a Detroit running back with some potential to break 1,000 yards.

Here are the stats you need to know about the NFC North heading into the 2018 season.

CHICAGO BEARS

Only five games in NFL history had a final score of 2-0. Two of those games were the Packers vs. Bears.

On December 12, 1965, Chicago Bear Gale Sayers tied Dub Jones with the most touchdowns in a single game (6). What most people don’t know is that Green Bay Packer, Paul Hornung scored five touchdowns earlier that day.

Mitchell Trubisky took over from Mike Glennon in Week 5. He put up 25 or fewer completions in all but one game all year.

According to PFF, Jordan Howard oversaw pass blocking on 23.7 percent of his snaps. On those snaps, he allowed zero total pressures. He saw eight-plus defenders in the box on 43.12 percent of his carries and still averaged 4.1 yards per carry.

Tariq Cohen is the first NFL rookie running back to score a touchdown via rushing, receiving, passing, and on a punt return in a season since Gale Sayers in 1965.

Allen Robinson played in all 16 games of the 2015 season while averaging 19.00 PPR points per game. Then he played in all 16 games of the 2016 season while averaging 12.33 points per game. Last year in Week 1 he tore his ACL, so the sample size shows us nothing.

Anthony Miller scored 32 touchdowns over his last 26 collegiate games. The team held out this second-round pick from the third preseason game along with the other starters.

Taylor Gabriel and Kevin White are not the starters and they did play in the third preseason game. Gabriel spent much of the preseason grappling with a foot injury. Kevin White has only been on the field in five games since getting drafted in the first-round in 2015.

At the University of Florida, Trey Burton beat Tim Tebow’s team record for the most touchdowns in a single game with six. He played multiple positions in college, so it was hard for scouts to determine where he should land. Burton was first recruited as a quarterback, but the Gators moved him all over. He did play some quarterback, but also running back, wide receiver, tight end, even fullback. At the combine, he put up the fastest 40, tied for second fastest 3-cone drill. Still, he wasn’t drafted, but was signed by the Eagles as an undrafted free agent. He made the team, worked his way up from special teams, all the way to throwing a touchdown pass to Nick Foles in the Eagles Super Bowl.

DETRIOT LIONS

Since 1970, the Detroit Lions have six seasons with 10-plus wins. The New England Patriots have 10-plus wins in each of their last 15 seasons. In 2008, the Lions went 0-16 after going 4-0 in the preseason.

Over the last eight games of the season, Matthew Stafford led the league in passing yards (2,595) and scored 17 passing touchdowns with a 70.5 percent completion rate. This will be his second full season in a Jim Bob Cooter led offense.

The Detroit Lions traded up to the 43rd pick to take Kerryon Johnson . The Lions haven’t had a running back put up a 100-yard rushing game since Reggie Bush in 2013. Johnson had eight games of 100-plus rushing yards last year at Auburn. One of those games was over 200 yards.

LeGarrette Blount averaged 4.4 yards per carry last year with the Philadelphia Eagles. He also averaged 3.6 yards after contact, which was the third best in the league of any running back who played in at least 25 percent of the team’s offensive snaps only after Kenyan Drake and Alvin Kamara . Blount is 31 years old.

Last year Theo Riddick tied with Kareem Hunt and Tarik Cohen for the 11th most catches of all running backs. The Lions threw on 62.96 percent of their plays, the second highest percentage in the league.

Ameer Abdullah hasn’t gone over 600 rushing yards or 185 receiving yards in any of his three season in the leagues.

Golden Tate was drafted twice to the MLB. The Arizona Diamondbacks in 2007 and the San Francisco Giants in 2010. He didn’t sign either time. He’s put up over 1,000 yards in three of his four seasons with the Detroit Lions. He never put up over 1,000 yards in this four years with the Seattle Seahawks.

With nine scores, Marvin Jones tied for the third most touchdowns of all wide out last year. Only Alshon Jeffery scored the same amount or more touchdowns with less catches than Jones. Jones had the ninth most receiving yards last season (1,101) and was one of 13 wide outs to go over 1,000 yards. Jones hit that mark with the absolute fewest catches (61).

Kenny Golladay averaged 17.0 yards per catch and 9.9 yards per target. He scored two touchdowns in his first game last year. And he scored one touchdown in the last game of his rookie season. He didn’t score at all in between.

Luke Willson looks to be the starting tight end on this team, but he suffered a knee injury in the third preseason game. Willson hasn’t put up over 215 receiving yards in the last three years, and last season he scored a career-high four touchdowns.

GREEN BAY PACKERS

The Green Bay Packers are the only “non-profit,” professional major league team in the NFL, and are “owned” by the community. It costs $250 per share, pays no dividends, benefits from no earnings, isn’t tradeable, and has no securities-law protection. There’s also a $25 handling fee.

Over the first five games of last season, Aaron Rodgers was on pace for 4,374.4 passing yards and 41.6 touchdowns. That would be the fourth most yards in 2017, only behind Tom Brady , Philip Rivers , and Matthew Stafford . That would also be the most touchdowns among quarterbacks last year by over seven scores. He broke his collarbone in Week 6.

Jamaal Williams only caught 33 passes over his last three years of college, but he managed to catch 25 of his 34 targets during his rookie season, and 100 percent of the targets from Aaron Rodgers .

Aaron Jones will be out for the first two games of the season for violating the NFL substance abuse policy. He’s also dealing with a hamstring injury. He is also a twin…

Ty Montgomery was drafted as a wide receiver to the Green Bay Packers in the third round of the 2015 NFL Draft. Now he’s a running back. But in high school at St. Mark’s School of Texas in Dallas, Texas, he ran the ball a lot. He played wide receiver, running back, and quarterback. His senior year he only caught 17 passes, but instead carried the ball 93 times for 823 rushing yards.

Davante Adams scored 22 touchdowns over the last two season, the absolute most of any wide receiver of the last two years.

No one knows what’s happening behind Davante Adams at the wide receiver position. Anyone who says otherwise is lying.

In 2014, Randall Cobb put up 1,287 yards and 12 touchdowns. In 2015, he went 829 yards and six touchdowns. 2016, 340 yards and four touchdowns. 2017, 653 yards and four touchdowns.

In Week 3, Geronimo Allison caught six passes for 122 yards. Over the rest of the season, he caught 14 passes for a total of 107 yards and didn’t score a touchdown all year.

In his debut game as a Packer, Marquez Valdes-Scantling caught five passes for 101 yards and a touchdown in his first rookie preseason game. Then in Week 2 of the preseason he caught one pass for 15 yards.

At Missouri over his last two seasons, J’Mon Moore went over 100-yards nine times and scored 18 touchdowns over 25 games.

In his first year with the Seahawks, Jimmy Graham caught 48 passes for 605 yards and two touchdowns. He bounced back in 2016, catching 65 passes for 923 yards and six touchdowns. Last year, Graham was the only tight end to catch 10 touchdowns. That was great. But he had the worst season of his career in every other category. Only 57 catches for 520 yards. His 96 targets in 2017 was his most since going to Seattle, but he posted the worst catch rate of his career.

MINNESOTA VIKINGS

Since the merger in 1970, the Vikings qualified for the playoffs 27 times, the third most in the league. They also have the sixth highest win-loss record in the league.

Kirk Cousins put up 4,000-plus passing yards in the last three consecutive seasons. The only other players to do that: Drew Brees , Matt Ryan , Matthew Stafford , Philip Rivers .

Dalvin Cook only got to play in three and a half games last year before he tore his ACL. In that time, he put up 444 total yards and two touchdowns. He was on his way to being the bell-cow back for the Minnesota Vikings. In that time, Latavius Murray only got 14 carries.

In 2017, Latavius Murry was in the top-five in both red-zone touches and goal-line carries.

Stefon Diggs tied for the third best catch rate on passes 20-plus yards down the field. Only JuJu Smith-Schuster and Marvin Jones had a higher catch rate at the distance.

The Vikings took Laquon Treadwell in the first round of the 2016 draft. In two seasons, he caught 21 passes for 215 yards and no touchdowns.

Kyle Rudolph went from 83 catches for 840 yards and seven touchdowns in 2016 to 57 catches for 532 yards and eight touchdowns in 2017. Those are his two most productive fantasy seasons of his career.
