The Colts "looked hard" at signing Tom Brady in free agency.
“I watched all of his tape from the last two years,” coach Frank Reich said. “I think he’s still playing at a super-, super-high level. We know he’s the best of all time for a reason.” Reich went on to say the Colts simply felt "Philip Rivers was the right guy for us." Although neither player blazed a trail of 2019 glory, Rivers' performance was more concerning. Reich's history with Rivers — he coached him for three years with the Chargers — was likely the deciding factor. Brady, meanwhile, shopped himself to the Bucs. It is an interesting alternate history, but one that did not seem particularly close to happening. Mar 31 1:43 pm (EST)
