Today is a special day as Fantasy Alarm NBA Best Bets gives out its 400th bet of the season! But first, a review of last night.

We went one for three with yesterday's NBA picks; thankfully Kevin Durant covered the hook late in the fourth quarter, and the Bet of the Night was successful. This limited the losses as Pascal Siakam sat most of the fourth quarter in a blowout victory, and Coby White attempted 21 field goals. He covered his prop by one successful three-point attempt.

Not to worry as we look to bounce back against the sportsbooks, with nine games in the Association! My NBA best bets today return back to the basics, and look to ‘celebrate’ with wins on the angles today.

Of the 400 bets placed, it would be a safe assumption that 40%, if not more, have been rebounding bets. The statistic that requires effort, rewards the player who positions themselves better, and out hustles opposing players to get the ball. The 400th bet focuses on rebounding, and looks at three impactful games.

What was once a fierce rivalry 30 years ago should be a furious game today – the New York Knicks play at Kaseya Center against the Miami Heat. The San Antonio Spurs play the Denver Nuggets at Ball Arena, and the Dallas Mavericks travel to the Chase Center to play the Golden State Warriors.

Expert NBA Best Bet Today, 4/2

Victor Wembanyama Props: Over 10.5 Rebounds (+100 on DraftKings)

Victor Wembanyama is a clear favorite for the Rookie of the Year, and one of Fantasy Alarm NBA Best Bets' favorites. Tonight, he has a tough task against the Denver Nuggets who allow the third fewest rebounds in the Association with 49.1 per game.

However, the Nuggets do allow the eighth most rebounds to opposing power forwards, and the sportsbooks have set the line right at Wembanyama’s average. 10.5 rebounds tonight is the number and it’s also his season average. As he is in almost every game, Wembanyama will be the tallest player on the court– an obvious advantage for rebounding.

He is also on the court more and has recorded thirty or more minutes in nine of his last ten games. His confidence and skill set is much higher now than it was to begin the season, and he should play over thirty minutes again tonight. He has eleven or more rebounds in five of his last ten games played, and he will have an opportunity to match up against the best player of this decade, Nikola Jokic

It is an opportunity to use his performance as a gauge against the two-time MVP. Tonight, we are taking one of our favorites at even odds to record just over his average.

NBA Prop Bets Today, 4/2

Isaiah Hartenstein Props: Over 8.5 Rebounds (+100 on DraftKings)

Another familiar face makes an appearance on the column, Isaiah Hartenstein of the New York Knicks. Hartenstein will have a major height advantage over the Miami Heat’s Bam Adebayo. The biggest opponent for tonight’s game is pace, as both teams like to run an efficient half-court offense.

Not to fret, as Isaiah Hartenstein is back to the rebounding monster he was in January when we were laying units on him every game. The Heat only allow 50.2 rebounds per game to opposing teams, but over twenty of them come from the center position. Hartenstein has nine or more rebounds in three of his last five games, and five of his last eight.

The Knicks are on a two-game losing streak and have slid to fourth in the Eastern Conference. They are only 0.5 games behind third, only 0.5 games ahead of fifth, and 3.0 games ahead of the seventh place Miami Heat. A loss tonight would put them only two games out of the play-in tournament.

This is an important game, and the Knicks will need Hartenstein to dominate the paint to turn this two-game losing streak around. Trust the big man to get nine rebounds tonight against a much smaller Miami Heat lineup.

Luka Doncic Props: Over 9.5 Rebounds (-140 on BetMGM)

Luka Doncic has the world’s attention with his unreal scoring lately. And why not? He is the Association’s leading point scorer and were it not for one of his friends having another outstanding season, Doncic would likely be this year's MVP… he might even get a vote or two.

However, Doncic is dominant in almost all categories, but his rebounding is the most subtle of any of his statistics. We collectively let our jaws hit the ground with his field goal attempts, gush at his ball handling skills, and marvel at his court visions/passing. Yet his bullying style, his block out ability, and almost unparalleled basketball IQ make him the best rebounding guard in the league.

He averages 9.1 rebounds per game which leads all point guards, and seventeenth amongst all players. His 9.5 rebounding line has been covered in seven of his last ten games, and two of the games died on the hook. He is simply one of the best players to have touched a basketball and rebounding is part of it.

Tonight, he plays the Golden State Warriors who have a collection of great rebounders, but not in the back court. Luka is simply cooking in ways we have rarely seen, and the aging Golden State Warriors know what is coming at them.

Draymond Green could even have an early exit to prevent what is coming at him. But all kidding aside, he has led the Mavericks to a seven-game winning streak and fifth place in the Western Conference. Trust Luka Doncic to deliver with ten or more rebounds, as the two longest winning streaks in the NBA collide.
