Isaiah Hartenstein came through for us last night in Tuesday’s NBA picks piece, despite a weird and long game between the New York Knicks and Chicago Bulls. Victor Wembanyama and Grayson Allen, two very reliable prop bet players, both came up short.

There are eight games today and there is a combination of three NBA predictions, in three pivotal games. Some teams have just two games remaining on their schedule, and this is some of the highest quality NBA of the year. Franchise records, playoff seeding, and personal best are taken place in the last games of the season.

The Atlanta Hawks host the Charlotte Hornets and Fantasy Alarm NBA Best Bets looks at Clint Capela in this match. The Dallas Mavericks and Miami Heat are both headed for games past the regular season, and tonight we ride an in-season trade acquisition that has been playing much better with his new team.

The Bet of the Night comes in an all-time end of regular season match between two teams that have been exchanging, or tied, for first in the Western Conference the past month. It is a Same Game Parlay that also includes a boost that propels the NBA odds to +787!

NBA Predictions & Picks Today, 4/10

Timberwolves vs. Nuggets Prediction: Denver ML + Aaron Gordon O5.5 Rebounds + Nikola Jokic O1.5 Threes Made (+525 SGP Odds, Boosted to +787 on DraftKings)

NBA Bet Of The Night - Same Game Parlay Boost ($25 Max)

This is a boosted Same Game Parlay between the Denver Nuggets and Minnesota Timberwolves. It is the second game on ESPN tonight, and it is essentially the battle for first place in the Western Conference. It will be an epic game at Ball Arena tonight.

Both teams are playing the second of back-to-back games and both have injured players. The lineups are not announced yet but Aaron Gordon is expected back for the pivotal game. As it sits his rebounding line is -145 to cover 5.5 rebounds. He has recorded six or more rebounds in six straight games, and eight of his last nine.

Gordon will have fresh legs and could be playing against the third string forward if Naz Reid is given a game suspension for his ejection yesterday. Either way, Gordon will be playing down low and should scoop several defensive and offensive rebounds tonight. Of all three folds of this NBA parlay, this one seems the easiest to cover.

Nikola Jokic is truly this year’s MVP, and it was on display last night against the Utah Jazz. The Delta Center is a haunting place for the Nuggets franchise and its fans. Jokic had won just one game there in his career, and the Utah Jazz made a great effort to get the game within three points. Then Nikola Jokic took over, attacking smaller defenders near the rim and draining one of his two three pointers.

Jokic has made two or more three-point field goals in three straight games. He has attempted 13 during that span, and tonight vs. leading Defensive Player of the Year candidate Rudy Gobert, he will have attempts outside of the arc.

Gobert is a prototypical rim defender, and the defense is designed for him to protect the paint and limit easy buckets from the other team. Jokic will take advantage of the space Gobert will give him, and make two more threes tonight. This prop is +175 for over 1.5 threes, if you prefer to play it as a single.

As it currently sits, the Nuggets are six-point favorites and have odds at -230. After the Nuggets win last night, Jokic stated it’s no different than any other game, and brushed off any added pressure. Anthony Edwards, perhaps feeling hyped after a 51-point game, stated ‘...we know how important it is, everyone in that locker room knows how important it is.’ And when asked if the team would be able to give max effort after a tough game against the Washington Wizards, he replied ‘(heck) yeah!’

This game will decide a great deal in who’s playing who in the Western Conference. And although Jokic implied it is just another game, it is the last regular season game at Ball Arena this year, the last road game for Minnesota and the last home game for Denver… What a battle! A $25.00 bet on my NBA picks Bet of the Night returns $221.80 with the boost.

NBA Props & Best Bets Today, April 10
Clint Capela Props: Under 12.5 Rebounds (+100 on DraftKings Sportsbook)

Clint Capela is the consistent pro, and the 10-year veteran has the resume to prove it. Tonight, the Atlanta Hawks host the Charlotte Hornets who allow the fourth-most rebounds to opposing centers. They allow the 10th most rebounds to opposing teams with 52.1 per game.

Capela has 10 or more rebounds in 13 of his last 15 games, and 13 or more in six of those 13 games (say that three times). Impressive to say the least, but last night the veteran played over 36 minutes against the division rival Miami Heat. Only to lose.

Tonight he may not even play 26 minutes. Atlanta could rest the veteran center, or possibly blowout the Hornets. Capela and the Hawks could move up to ninth and host the Chicago Bulls in the 9 vs. 10 play-in game if they can gain one game. With three games left it is possible, but the last home game against a bad team could be a good time to rest.

Capela averages 10.7 rebounds per game, and the sportsbooks are simply inflating his line due to the Hornets bad rebounding skills. This line started at -140 and has moved to positive odds. Something is off and we are going to capitalize on it in the first of our NBA props today.

Daniel Gafford Props: Over 6.5 Rebounds (-145 on DraftKings Sportsbook) *1.5 Units

Finalizing our NBA predictions is Daniel Gafford. He's been exactly what the Mavs needed, and he has been a near-perfect fit with Dallas. Luka Doncic is part of that, but he’s been a presence in the paint, unlike he was with Washington. With the Wizards, Gafford was looked to be bet against every game. With the Mavericks, he has become an alley-oop specialist and rebounding force.

Tonight, the Mavericks play the Miami Heat who are both playing the second of back-to-back games. The Heat just allowed Clint Capela to grab 11 rebounds, more than his average. Tonight they could allow a younger Gafford to go over his average of 7.7 rebounds. This bet only needs seven rebounds to happen though.

In addition to Miami playing in the second of back-to-back games and allowing more rebounds than average, Gafford only played less than 25 minutes yesterday and could be in for more minutes tonight. The odds reflect this prop has a high probability, and the data suggest Gafford should cover his rebounding line.
