Thank you, recently appointed All-Star members: Scottie Barnes and Trae Young came through and delivered for Fantasy Alarm NBA Best Bets with more Meat Loaf. Two out of three bets were successful, including the double unit Bet of the Night on Scottie Barnes. This bet brought a profit of 1.82 yesterday which moves the total unit count to +36.38 units, and that isn’t too shabby.

In fact, we need only 3.62 more units in the bankroll to complete the season long goal of forty units. There are nine NBA games today, and two are nationally televised on TNT. The Dallas Mavericks play the New York Knicks with a 7:30 PM ET tip off, and there will be a straight bet in the match at Madison Square Garden. The Chicago Bulls play in Memphis against the Grizzlies and one of our most frequent players makes another return. Coby White has a prop, but it is not the angle you have become accustomed to seeing.

The second match on TNT is not only the game of the night, but the Bet of the Night also comes from it. The World Champion Denver Nuggets travel to Crypto.com Arena to take on the Los Angeles Lakers in a rematch of last year’s Western Conference Finals. Expert NBA Best Bet Today, 2/8:

Jamal Murray Player Props: Over 2.5 Threes Made (-125 at DraftKings)

Did you know that Jamal Murray is the all-time leading three-point scorer for the Denver Nuggets? He has made 934 threes in his career, and he has eighty-nine this year, with a respectable 40.6% this season. The Nuggets are coming off of three days' rest and have had ample time to watch film and gameplan for the Lakers. There's no doubt one thing that they saw was a major discrepancy in perimeter defense. The Lakers allow the most points, the fourth most rebounds, the sixth most assists, and the second most fantasy points to opposing point guards.

These numbers are simply atrocious. Jamal Murray busted this almost exact same roster in the Western Conference Finals with fifty-three points in three consecutive quarters. He has a swagger and confidence about him when playing the Lakers, and it will be on display tonight. He has made over 2.5 threes in his past two games, and should look to extend that streak tonight. Trust Murray in the bet of the night.

NBA Predictions & Player Props Today, 2/8:

Coby White Player Props: Over 10.5 Rebounds + Assists (-120 at BetMGM)

Coby White is having by far his best season of his young career. The twenty-three-year-old is really coming into his own and commands this Bulls offense. He has been on this column frequently but almost always for three pointers made or points. His threes line is set at 3.5, which he could easily go over, but he has been more than just a scorer for the Bulls. His assists line over the past six games read 7, 4, 9, 6, 9, and 3 and his rebounding line over the past six games sits at 5, 6, 7, 2, 5, and 7. He is stuffing the stat sheet in more ways than one, and tonight the Chicago Bulls play the lowly Memphis Grizzlies

The Grizzlies are exactly in the middle in points allowed to opposing point guards, at fifteenth. However, they allow the fifth most assists and eighth most rebounds to opposing guards in the NBA. Memphis has lost six in a row, barely have a ten-man roster, and honestly seem like a checked-out team. Coby White is trying to lead the Bulls to the playoffs, and every win becomes crucial with just over two months left in the regular season. Trust the point guard to stuff the stat sheet, to take what the defense is giving him, and play with effort. A combined eleven rebounds and assists are needed, and we do not care how he gets there – just get there.

Dallas Mavericks vs. New York Knicks Prediction: Mavericks Money Line (-158 at FanDuel)

The Dallas Mavericks continue their Eastern Conference road tour, as tonight they are in Madison Square Garden against the hot New York Knicks. Currently -166 on DraftKings, -165 on MGM, and likely varies across other sportsbooks too, the best odds four for this column is found on FanDuel. While the Knicks have won nine of their last ten games, the Mavericks took down the Philadelphia 76ers and the Brooklyn Nets this week and are looking for a three-game road sweep. The Mavericks have a better record on the road than they do at home, and the Knicks are banged up. OG Anunoby, Quentin Grimes, Julius Randle, and Mithcell Robinson are all out.

On top of that, Jalen Brunson is questionable after leaving their last game early. Despite all that, the money is almost exactly 50/50 for this game. The Knicks have slightly more money on the spread and the money line at the moment. Dallas will be without rookie Dereck Lively II and veteran Dante Exum but should have all their other players for tonight including Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving, who are both listed as probable. If Jalen Brunson is declared out, and honestly, he should be to protect him for his first All-Star game, this line will drop to around -300 for the Mavericks, so hop on it early.

As several of you are aware, Simone Fontecchio was a plug and bet, no worries, six in a row cashing machine. The Utah Jazz are playing today, but all good things must come to an end. Fontecchio was traded for little to no value, and it has instantly put an end to ‘The Well’. It was a bit of a head scratcher that the Jazz would give up the low salary, restricted free agent Fontechhio, but they did trade him to the Detroit Pistons. What a shame, but we will find another ‘well’ bet soon!
