A lot of familiar names on this list, but trust me, they weren’t grandfathered in. Each person on here is worthy of a top 5 ranking and they should be treated as such in Week 11. Each of the guys below are excellent starts in any fantasy format and I’ll even throw another guy out there for you. If he continues his elite level of play that he’s maintained over the past few weeks, don’t be surprised to see Tennessee’s Marcus Mariota start popping up in this list. He has a sparkling 17:3 touchdown to interception ratio and has scored two more touchdowns on the ground in his past six games. He could very well end up on this list in due time.

Here are the top 5 quarterbacks for Week 11 of the NFL season.

Tom Brady @ SF

Terrific Tom takes the top spot in this week’s quarterback rankings. The Seattle defense held Brady without a touchdown a few days ago and picked him off once, but he was still able to throw for 316 yards. San Francisco has virtually no shot of slowing Brady down, so don’t be surprised if Brady throws for 350 and three scores on Sunday against the 49ers.

Cam Newton vs. NO

Newton has run the football at least seven times in each of the last three weeks, so he seems to be over any injury woes that slowed him down earlier in the season. He has four rushing touchdowns on the season and the Saints have really struggled to slow down opposing quarterbacks this season. Newton’s second best fantasy output of the season came against the Saints in Week 6, so we have high hopes for Newton on Thursday night.

Ben Roethlisberger @ CLE

Big Ben just threw for 408 yards and three scores against Dallas, so what do you think the ceiling is for him on Sunday against Cleveland? That’s right, pretty damn high. There is some blowout risk here, but I envision Cleveland staying just close enough that Roethlisberger gets to sling it a ton. 300 yards is easy for him this week.

Drew Brees @ CAR

I can’t believe I have to keep saying this, but it doesn’t matter who Drew Brees plays, because you must start him each week. He’s only recorded under 20 points twice this season, both of which came before the team’s bye in Week 5. Brees is on fire right now, tossing three or more touchdowns in four of his last five games. He’s a QB1 this week.

Andrew Luck vs. TEN

Tennessee is scoring points in bunches right now, which once again means that Luck is going to have to throw the team on his back if he wants to get a win. In Week 7 against Tennessee, he threw for 353 yards and scored three touchdowns. Expect somewhat similar numbers to that this week against a Titans defense allowing the ninth-most fantasy points per game to opposing signal callers.
