Well, it’s been all about Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump the last few days. Particularly yesterday, of course. Yesterday was Election Day and hopefully you got in there and made your vote count. Whether you fall under #MakeAmericaGreatAgain, or #ImWithHer or you’re an advocate of a third party candidate, the best thing you can do is go vote. However, now that the presidential campaign is over, it’s time to get back to planning your fantasy football lineups.
Here are the top 5 quarterbacks for Week 10 of the NFL season.
Aaron Rodgers @ TEN
The Titans are allowing the 12th-most fantasy points per game to opposing quarterbacks and no quarterback since Ryan Tannehill in Week 5 has failed to throw at least two touchdowns against this defense. Rodgers has 10 touchdowns in his last three games, compared to just two turnovers. He’s a top option this week.
Cam Newton vs. KC
Newton has been pretty mediocre this season, but this Kansas City defense is an excellent opportunity for Newton to make a statement to silence the critics. The Chiefs have allowed 50 or more rushing yards to the last two quarterbacks they faced (Blake Bortles, Andrew Luck), while allowing an average of 21 fantasy points per game. Newton has top-tier QB1 potential this week.
Matt Ryan @ PHI
Ryan has just been downright nasty this season, throwing over anyone who tries to slow him down. The Eagles have been stingy against quarterbacks this season, but Dak Prescott and Eli Manning tossed a combined six touchdowns on this defense in the past two weeks. Philadelphia has some holes in that secondary and Ryan is going to exploit them.
Tom Brady vs. SEA
Brady is matchup proof and whether you like it or not, he’s likely going to be on this list every week the rest of the way. Tyrod Taylor just threw for 289 yards on this Seattle defense, so what do you think Brady is going to do with a much stronger supporting cast? Exactly. QB1 ladies and gentlemen.
Philip Rivers vs. MIA
The Dolphins have played well of late against opposing quarterbacks, but come on, Tyrod Taylor and Ryan Fitzpatrick aren’t exactly cream of the crop. The last good quarterback they faced was Marcus Mariota, and he torched them for 30 fantasy points. Melvin Gordon will get around 20 carries, but that won’t stop Rivers from approaching, and likely surpassing, 300 yards on the day.
