2022 Player Outlook

After bursting onto the fantasy scene after the surprise scratch of Trey Sermon Week 1, Elijah Mitchell put up a solid rookie outing. He missed six games due to injury, but when he was on the field, he was productive, finishing 14th in fantasy points per game. The volume is certainly there, as San Francisco ranked second in the league in rushing attempts per game. The only knock against him is the possibility of Trey Lance eating into his rushing work, but if he stays healthy, he has the ceiling of a top 12 running back.
