2026 Fantasy Football Player Profile

2025 Season Recap

Saquon Barkley came back to earth in a big way in 2025. He finished with 1,140 rushing yards on 280 carries, a dramatic drop from the historic 2,005 yards he put up in 2024. The Eagles' offense fell apart around him. They went from seventh in scoring to 19th, from second in rushing to 18th, and Barkley rarely had the clean lanes that made him unstoppable the year before. The play-calling was inconsistent, the offensive line struggled, and it all showed in the results.

2026 Fantasy Outlook

Honestly, this is one of the more interesting value debates in the draft. Barkley lands as the consensus RB7, and the question is whether a 1,140-yard season on 280 carries the new Saquon, or was it purely an environmental problem that is correctable? We lean toward the latter. The regression from 2,005 to 1,140 is too extreme to be purely age-related for a player who just turned 29. New offensive coordinator Sean Mannion is an unknown, but A.J. Brown's departure and the line questions are real. He is a discount buy in leagues where you can get him below RB7. The rebound upside is significant if even half the issue was scheme.
