Fantasy Alarm is taking a different approach to help our subscribers build successful DFS lineups.  I will be giving you my personal core plays for this weekend's tournament.  These players listed below are my three favorite top tier, middle tier and value tier players for both DraftKings and Fanduel.  They will be at the core of all my lineups for this weekend's American Express and then I'll use my playbook to fill out the remaining spots in my lineup.

Make sure you read my full PGA DFS Playbook for the WGC-Workday Championship before using these core plays.  You can also take a look at my Weekly Tournament Projections at any time.

I like to think of this week as a tune up major.  The Masters is a little more than a month away and we’ve got a field pretty close to as good as we’ll see at Augusta.  There is a lot of value to play with this weekend especially seeing a player the quality of Tommy Fleetwood priced under 8K this weekend.  How awesome is it that Collin Morikawa and Patrick Cantlay for under 9500.  That’s incredible value which is why I’m leaning more into a balanced approach.  If I’m going stars and scrubs which I probably won’t do much, I’ll start Jon Rahm and Webb Simpson but if I’m going balanced, I’ll start my lineups with either Webb Simpson or Patrick Cantlay.  I will be overweight on Joaquin Niemann this weekend, he’ll be the stable force in the middle of my lineups.  While I would completely understand if you wouldn’t feel comfortable with Emiliano Grillo being the anchor of your lineup, I’ll rotate between him and Brendan Steele.  Overall, I’ll have more balanced lineups with just one top tier guy instead of trying to squeeze in two.  If you have any more questions, you can leave them in the chat or hit me up on twitter @Drew_Phelps83.

This new format of core plays I think is way more valuable to our subscribers because it lends more to teaching than just copy and pasting.  A set of these players will be in each one of my lineups this weekend and then a mix of players from my playbook will fill out the rest.

Good Luck!
