The Week 2 NFL DFS slate will surely be an interesting one, as most weeks tend to be! However, in Week 2, teams like the Buffalo Bills, Detroit Lions, and Los Angeles Rams are off the main slate. Ja'Marr Chase and Justin Jefferson are likely headliners in many Week 2 NFL DFS lineups, and it is those two superstars that sit atop my NFL DFS WR rankings for Week 2. There’s a lot to sort through, but don’t worry, we've got you covered here at Fantasy Alarm! Not only will you get my top NFL DFS WR picks for Week 2, but I’ll also cover a receiver I’m fading, some intriguing stacks, and even a contrarian stack if you want to zig where others zag.

NFL DFS Week 2 WR Picks

Ja'Marr Chase, Cincinnati Bengals - DraftKings: $7,600 | FanDuel: $8,800

I know Ja'Marr Chase was bad in Week 1; I get it. Could that mean we get Chase at a lower ownership going up against a tough Houston defense? Perhaps! Also, that tough Houston defense was sliced and diced by Josh Allen, and the Texans allowed the seventh-most fantasy points in Week 1 to wide receivers! In Week 1, both of these teams were right around league average in terms of pace, and when you look at the Texans’ numbers from Week 1, their -0.250 EPA/rush was light-years better than the 0.558 EPA/dropback (third-highest in the NFL), per FantasyPoints Data. Explosive plays killed Houston in Week 1 and were a problem at times in 2025. So, I’ll ask the question: Is there a more explosive receiver in the NFL on any given play than Ja'Marr Chase?

Nico Collins, Houston Texans - DraftKings: $7,000 | FanDuel: $7,800

I know pricing changes can sometimes be a week or two slow with sites like DraftKings, but after commanding a 26.3% target share and 30.3% first-read rate in Week 1, per FantasyPoints Data, Collins’ price didn’t budge on DraftKings. We’d still like to see Collins move around more, but even so, he’s the clear alpha in this passing attack, and if Houston’s defensive struggles from Week 1 carry into Week 2, the Texans are going to be forced to score, which is good for the passing attack. Cincinnati did play the fourth-most man coverage of any team in Week 1, per FantasyPoints Data, and dating back to the start of the 2025 season, Collins has recorded 2.57 yards per route run, 15.65 yards per reception, and a 108.7 passer rating when targeted versus man coverage. C.J. Stroud looked good in Week 1, and we all know that he’s been far better at home than on the road in his career.

Chris Godwin, Tampa Bay Buccaneers - DraftKings: $5,600 | FanDuel: $5,800

Godwin caught all four of his targets for 40 yards in the season opener, but this matchup against the Browns presents a far better opportunity for him. Over half of his routes came from inside of the slot, and he was strong there in Week 1, posting just over two yards per route run, per FantasyPoints Data. In a Week 1 loss to the Jaguars, the slot had a ton of success against Cleveland, regardless of position. However, wide receivers out of the slot for Jacksonville against the Browns in Week 1 had two catches for two touchdowns. Sure, not elite volume, but elite production to say the least. Better days are ahead for Godwin, and those days begin right here in Week 2. He almost made my best DraftKings value, too.

 

 

 

Best NFL DFS WR Values for Week 2

Best DraftKings WR Value: Garrett Wilson, Tennessee Titans - DraftKings: $6,000 | FanDuel: $7,200

Wilson is entirely too cheap on DraftKings. Entirely too cheap. The Packers are going to be a solid offense all year long, and they will push the Jets in this one. Green Bay allowed the fourth-most fantasy points per opportunity to wideouts in Week 1, per FantasyPoints Data, and Wilson commanded a 29.2% target share and 49% of the team’s air yards. Elite usage. Great spot. He’s entirely too cheap on DraftKings. Did I mention that yet?

Best FanDuel WR Value: Caleb Douglas, Miami Dolphins - DraftKings: $3,700 | FanDuel: $5,100

We’ll dive into specifics shortly, but check out some of these factoids from Douglas in Week 1 amongst wide receivers who ran at least 15 routes, per FantasyPoints Data:

  • 73rd percentile fantasy points per route run
  • 81st percentile average separation score
  • 86th percentile yards per route run
  • 86th percentile yards after catch per reception
  • 90th percentile yards per target
  • 90th percentile first read rate

Malik Washington may have led in targets, but Douglas posted an elite 3.13 yards per reception and 35.3% first read rate, per FantasyPoints Data. The Dolphins should be playing from behind, and Douglas is the wideout that I think can do the most from a fantasy perspective in this matchup.

Best NFL DFS WR Stacks for Week 2

Best QB/WR Stack

George Pickens, Dallas Cowboys - DraftKings: $6,300 | FanDuel: $8,000

Stack with:

Pickens was quiet in Week 1, and a drop or two certainly didn’t help his overall stat line. However, he should bounce back in Week 2. No team allowed more yards per target to outside receivers than the Commanders in Week 1, and only the Bears surrendered more fantasy points per target, per FantasyPoints Data. This Washington secondary isn’t any good, and they allowed an explosive pass rate that was above the league average. Pickens is entirely too cheap on DraftKings, coming in at a full $1,000 cheaper than his teammate CeeDee Lamb.

Best WR/WR Stack

Luther Burden, Chicago Bears - DraftKings: $5,700 | FanDuel: $6,000

Stack with: 

Let’s boil these down to the simplest of terms. Simply looking at Week 1, we have the Bears’ eighth-highest explosive pass rate taking on a Vikings defense that allowed the third-highest explosive pass rate, per FantasyPoints Data. No team allowed more fantasy points to outside receivers in Week 1 than the Vikings, and Odunze and Burden will be the prominent wideouts that factor into this one. Yes, I am saying Kalif Raymond is not as big of a presence as he was in Week 1! When lined up out wide in Week 1, Burden posted 5.25 yards per route run and 0.94 fantasy points per route run, whereas Odunze notched 2.94 yards per route run, per FantasyPoints Data. Both receivers are very affordable and can comfortably fit into your lineups. I will note that Dallas (Pickens & Lamb) is also a strong WR/WR stack this week, albeit more costly.

Best Contrarian Stack

Mike Evans, San Francisco 49ers - DraftKings: $6,600 | FanDuel: $8,200

Stack with:

Mike Evans was really, really good in the season opener in Australia, and there are a few narratives that could keep ownership on Evans (and Purdy) a bit lower. Could ownership be lower because it’s the lowly Dolphins and the 49ers will blow them out? Possibly. Could it be due to traveling back from Australia and jet lag being a thing? Possibly. Is it a more pricey stack? Sure.

Well, what about the narrative that the 49ers just put it on the Dolphins, and Evans catches two TDs in the first half? He posted a 98th percentile average separation score in Week 1, per FantasyPoints Data, and Purdy posted a 127.1 passer rating when targeting Evans in the red zone. All things considered, this is a pretty affordable stack for a team that has an implied point total pushing 30.

 

 

 

NFL DFS WR Fade for Week 2

Carnell Tate, Tennessee Titans - DraftKings: $5,100 | FanDuel: $5,500

I was about to put Drake London on here again like last week, because he’s also a huge fade for me in Week 2. However, I’ll go elsewhere and look to Carnell Tate. He’s more expensive than Wan’Dale Robinson on DraftKings, and I like Robinson’s outlook more. Tate is the one with the far more difficult matchup! Tate ran 72% of his routes on the perimeter, and take a look at the Eagles’ numbers in Week 1 on perimeter versus slot receivers, courtesy of FantasyPoints Data:

Also, Tate posted a 13th percentile average separation score and seventh percentile win rate when lined up out wide, and that’s not exactly going to make him an endearing threat to Cam Ward with Quinyon Mitchell blanketing him.

NFL DFS Week 2 WR Play of the Week

Justin Jefferson, Minnesota Vikings - DraftKings: $7,800 | FanDuel: $8,600

Given the NFL’s concussion policy, I highly doubt Kyler Murray will be out there for this game, meaning we’ll see Carson Wentz under center for the Vikings. With Wentz under center in Week 1, Jefferson posted 1.13 fantasy points per route run, 3.52 yards per route run, and an excellent 36.8% target share, per FantasyPoints Data. The Bears allowed the fifth-most fantasy points to wide receivers in Week 1, and I expect the Vikings to air it out in a game where they opened as 5.5-point underdogs, and the O/U in the upper-forties.

DraftKings vs. FanDuel WR Picks for Week 2

There are some notable price discrepancies on the sites, and it’s mostly related to the scoring formats between the sites, but it does create some interesting value. Mike Evans is the fifth-highest priced receiver on FanDuel, but comes in at ninth on DraftKings. Jaylen Waddle is the 17th-highest priced receiver on FanDuel, but 10th on DraftKings. Ready for this one? George Pickens is the sixth-highest priced receiver on FanDuel, but 12th on DraftKings! Pickens is such a smash play on DraftKings it’s not even funny. Drake London is an easy fade, particularly on FanDuel, as he’s priced inside the top 10 receivers. After a full offseason of debating players and analyzing numbers, who would have thought that we’d go into Week 2 being excited about Justin Jefferson with Carson Wentz under center? Football is so back!
