Welcome to Week 6 of the 2026 NFL season. The Seattle Seahawks and Denver Broncos will square off on Thursday Night Football in a matchup that promises a compelling test for both teams. With Seattle traveling to Denver for a primetime showdown, the spotlight will be on which team can handle the pressure, establish its identity, and make the critical plays when the game is on the line.

This article breaks down the key DFS plays, potential values, game-script considerations, and players to approach with caution as we look for the best ways to build competitive lineups for Thursday night.

Seahawks vs. Broncos DFS Picks & Preview: Thursday Night Football, 10/15

For Seattle, the challenge will be finding a way to generate consistent offense against a Denver team playing at home. The Seahawks will need to establish a rhythm early, mix their offensive approach, and avoid putting themselves in difficult third-down situations. Protecting the football will be crucial, particularly in a road environment where a costly turnover can quickly swing momentum. If Seattle can sustain drives, capitalize on scoring opportunities, and keep the Broncos' defense from dictating the pace, the Seahawks will have a strong opportunity to make this a competitive contest deep into the second half.

Denver, meanwhile, enters the matchup looking to build on a 23-17 victory over the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 5. The Broncos have the advantage of playing at Empower Field at Mile High, where the altitude and home crowd can present an additional challenge for visiting teams. However, Denver's offense will need to be more productive if it hopes to keep pace with Seattle. Quarterback Bo Nix and the Broncos' playmakers will face a difficult test against a Seahawks defense that has been among the league's strongest units. Denver's ability to protect Nix, sustain drives, and avoid turnovers could ultimately determine whether the home team can pull off the win.

Ultimately, this Thursday Night Football matchup looks like a contest that could come down to a handful of critical plays. Seattle has an opportunity to take advantage of Denver's injuries in the secondary, while the Broncos can use their home-field advantage and defensive pressure to make life difficult for the Seahawks. If Smith-Njigba finds room to operate and Seattle protects the football, the visitors have a strong path to victory. Denver's best chance will be to control the tempo, create pressure, and turn scoring opportunities into touchdowns rather than field goals.

NFL Weather: Seahawks vs. Broncos TNF, October 15th

Weather conditions in Denver are expected to be chilly, with temperatures around 50°F at kickoff and dropping into the mid-40s as the game progresses. Rain is expected to taper off before kickoff, leaving mostly cloudy skies and a relatively low chance of precipitation during the game. Winds are forecast around 5–10 mph, with some potential for stronger gusts, which could have a minor impact on passing and kicking.

Seahawks vs. Broncos Injuries: Thursday Night Football Week 6

The Seahawks will be without several key players. Linebackers Drake Thomas (ankle) and Chazz Surratt (calf) have been ruled out, weakening Seattle’s linebacker depth, while running back Zach Charbonnet (knee) remains unavailable as he continues recovering from ACL surgery.

The Broncos face significant injury concerns in their secondary, with cornerback Pat Surtain (ankle) and safety Talanoa Hufanga (ankle) both ruled out. Cornerback Riley Moss (ribs) is listed as questionable, leaving even more uncertainty around Denver’s defensive backfield heading into the game.

NFL Thursday Night Football DFS Picks: MVP/Captain

Jaxon Smith-Njigba, WR, Seattle Seahawks - DraftKings: $11,600 | FanDuel: $13,000

Through five games, Smith-Njigba has recorded 37 receptions for 583 receiving yards and seven touchdowns on 50 targets, making him one of the most productive wide receivers in fantasy football. His consistent target volume, big-play ability, and red-zone production give him an excellent combination of floor and upside in any format.

The matchup against Denver is particularly appealing because the Broncos will be without their star cornerback (Surtain) and safety (Hufanga), while cornerback Riley Moss is also questionable. Those defensive absences could create additional opportunities for Smith-Njigba to exploit coverage and produce another strong performance.

Bo Nix, QB, Denver Broncos - DraftKings: $9,600 | FanDuel: $12,000

Nix has thrown for 942 yards and six touchdowns with three interceptions through five games, but his recent performances have been underwhelming. In Denver’s 23–17 win over the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 5, he managed just 123 passing yards and one touchdown, along with 10 rushing yards. His limited rushing production and inconsistent passing efficiency have made him a difficult quarterback to trust in recent games.

The matchup against Seattle presents another challenge, as the Seahawks have generated consistent pressure and have limited opposing quarterbacks to fewer than 200 passing yards in each of their first five games. Nix’s best path to a big fantasy score may be through multiple touchdowns and some added production on the ground, but Seattle’s defense makes a breakout performance less likely.

Sam Darnold, QB, Seattle Seahawks – DraftKings: $9,800 | FanDuel: $11,400

Through five games, Darnold has thrown for 755 yards, seven touchdowns, and five interceptions, and his recent turnover problems are a concern for his fantasy upside. He threw two interceptions in Seattle’s Week 5 loss to San Francisco and has five interceptions over his last three games. Denver’s defense has been effective at generating pressure, which could make it difficult for Darnold to find a consistent rhythm in the passing game.

Despite Darnold's recent struggles, the injuries in the Denver secondary make this matchup more appealing and could potentially allow for more opportunities through the air. Darnold's path to being the optimal lineup choice relies on him spreading the ball around rather than locking onto JSN.

Emanuel Wilson, QB, Seattle Seahawks – DraftKings: $9,400 | FanDuel: $10,600

With Charbonnet and Price both unavailable, Wilson is positioned to handle the bulk of Seattle’s rushing workload. He is coming off a Week 5 performance against San Francisco in which he rushed 20 times for 61 yards and a touchdown while adding two catches for 11 yards. Although his rushing efficiency has been inconsistent, his recent workload gives him a dependable opportunity to produce fantasy points.

If Seattle continues to lean on its running game to control the tempo and take pressure off Darnold, Wilson will have another opportunity to deliver a productive performance. He should continue to have a massive role while Charbonnet and Price remain out.

NFL Thursday Night Football DFS Picks: Core Plays

Jaylen Waddle, WR, Denver Broncos – DraftKings: $9,000 | FanDuel: $10,000

Waddle has struggled to find consistency in his first season with Denver, recording just two catches for 19 yards on five targets in the Broncos’ Week 5 win over the Chargers. Through five games, he has shown flashes of big-play potential, including an eight-catch, 138-yard performance against Jacksonville in Week 2, but he has also posted less than 40 yards in the other four games. His inconsistent target volume and Denver’s passing-game struggles make him a difficult player to trust, even in a single-game format.

J.K. Dobbins, RB, Denver Broncos – DraftKings: $8,400 | FanDuel: $9,600

Dobbins is coming off his best fantasy performance of the season, rushing 18 times for 68 yards and a touchdown while adding two receptions for six yards in Denver’s Week 5 win over the Los Angeles Chargers. His workload gives him some value, but his inconsistent production and inefficiency throughout the season make him difficult to trust.

The matchup against Seattle is challenging because the Seahawks have been relatively effective at limiting opposing running backs’ fantasy production. Dobbins also shares backfield work with Harvey, whose receiving ability could earn him additional opportunities if Denver falls behind or struggles to run the ball. Dobbins’ clearest path to a strong fantasy outing is heavy volume and finding the end zone.

Courtland Sutton, WR, Denver Broncos – DraftKings: $8,000 | FanDuel: $8,800

Sutton is coming off a Week 5 performance in which he caught two of three targets for 18 yards and a touchdown against the Chargers, but his limited production is concerning. He has been held under 50 receiving yards in every game this season, and the addition of Waddle has made it difficult for Sutton to command a consistent share of Denver’s targets.

Seattle’s secondary could be vulnerable to Sutton’s size and ability to make contested catches, particularly in the red zone. However, Denver’s inconsistent passing production and Sutton’s modest target volume limit his ceiling.

NFL Thursday Night Football DFS Picks: Mid-Tier Plays

RJ Harvey, RB, Denver Broncos – DraftKings: $6,400 | FanDuel: $8,200

Harvey struggled in Denver’s Week 5 win over the Los Angeles Chargers, recording just three carries for seven yards and failing to catch his only target. His role has been inconsistent because Dobbins continues to handle most of the early-down rushing work.

However, Harvey caught 20 passes across his three games before Week 5, establishing himself as a potentially valuable receiving option when Denver needs to move the ball through the air. The matchup against Seattle could give Harvey an opportunity to bounce back, particularly if the Broncos fall behind and need to rely more heavily on short passes to their running backs.

George Holani, RB, Seattle Seahawks – DraftKings: $4,400 | FanDuel: $5,200

Holani recorded four carries for seven yards and caught all four of his targets for 11 receiving yards in Seattle’s Week 5 loss to San Francisco, demonstrating that he could contribute as a pass catcher even if his rushing opportunities remain limited. Holani has also dealt with rib and knee issues, but he practiced fully ahead of Thursday’s game and has no game-status designation.

Holani’s biggest obstacle is his uncertain workload, with Wilson expected to handle the majority of Seattle’s backfield touches. However, if his pass-catching role from last week holds, Holani still has a path to useful production.

AJ Barner, TE, Seattle Seahawks – DraftKings: $4,200 | FanDuel: $4,800

Barner caught three of five targets for 20 yards in Seattle’s Week 5 loss to San Francisco, and he continues to see consistent playing time as the team’s primary tight end. Through five games, he has recorded 12 receptions for 122 yards and has yet to score a receiving touchdown. Although his snap count gives him opportunities to contribute, Seattle’s passing offense runs primarily through Smith-Njigba, making it difficult for Barner to produce consistently.

Barner has reached five targets in only two games this season, making him a risky option despite his regular role in Seattle’s offense. However, his seven touchdowns from last season suggest he has a path to fantasy production even without huge volume.

Evan Engram, TE, Denver Broncos – DraftKings: $4,000 | FanDuel: $5,600

Engram is coming off a promising Week 5 performance against the Chargers, catching all four of his targets for 55 yards and leading Denver in both receptions and receiving yards. That production is encouraging after a slow start to the season, but his overall target volume remains inconsistent, limiting his reliability. Through five games, he has recorded 10 receptions for 121 yards and one touchdown.

Engram will likely need another solid share of targets to deliver meaningful fantasy value. Denver’s passing offense has been inconsistent, and Engram has not yet established himself as a dependable source of production.

NFL Thursday Night Football DFS Picks: Value Plays

Rashid Shaheed, WR, Seattle Seahawks – DraftKings: $3,600 | FanDuel: $7,000

Shaheed has the speed to change a game with one deep reception or a long touchdown, making him particularly appealing in large-field tournaments where you need to differentiate your lineup. However, his production has been limited, as he has just nine receptions through five games, with 19 targets and a 47% catch rate.

Denver's secondary has injury concerns, which could create opportunities for Seattle's outside receivers. Shaheed also adds additional touchdown equity as a returner. Still, Denver's pass defense has been strong, so Shaheed is far from a guaranteed value play.

Cooper Kupp, WR, Seattle Seahawks – DraftKings: $3,200 | FanDuel: $7,600

Kupp has been quiet recently, catching just two passes for 15 yards in Week 5. Through five games, he has 11 receptions for 129 yards and one touchdown on 15 targets, so his current role offers a limited floor and makes him difficult to trust as a core lineup piece.

The matchup offers some potential because Denver has been more vulnerable to slot receivers than some other receiving options, giving Kupp a possible path to production on short routes and intermediate throws. Still, Smith-Njigba's massive role and Seattle's desire to establish the run likely mean Kupp will need a more efficient outing or a touchdown to pay off his modest salary.

Troy Franklin, WR, Denver Broncos – DraftKings: $3,000 | FanDuel: $3,800

With Bryant sidelined in Week 5, Franklin played 63% of offensive snaps and ran 17 routes, establishing himself as Denver’s No. 3 receiver behind Sutton and Waddle. The playing time is encouraging, but he converted his opportunity into just two catches for 16 yards on two targets, so the key question is whether his expanded role translates into more looks against Seattle.

With Bryant still out, Franklin has a path to maintaining a meaningful snap share against the Seahawks. However, his 17 routes and two targets last week show that playing time alone doesn't guarantee fantasy production.

TNF DFS Picks: Kickers & D/ST

Wil Lutz has made eight of 11 field-goal attempts and all seven extra-point attempts this season. He is coming off a productive Week 5 performance against the Chargers, converting three field goals and two extra points for 10 fantasy points. However, his three missed field goals this season are a concern, and Denver's projected scoring total of around 19 points suggests his opportunities could be limited.

Jason Myers is coming off an outstanding Week 5 performance against San Francisco, making all five of his field-goal attempts and both extra-point attempts for 23 fantasy points. He has been reliable this season, and Seattle’s offense has created opportunities for him to contribute consistently. If the Seahawks continue to move the ball effectively but struggle to finish drives in the red zone, Myers could be in line for another big day.

The Seahawks D/ST has been one of the NFL’s most productive units, ranking near the top of the league in pressure rate, third-down defense, and limiting explosive plays, making them especially appealing against a Denver offense that has struggled to consistently generate big plays. Nix has thrown six touchdowns and three interceptions this season, and his difficulties against pressure give Seattle a promising opportunity to generate sacks, turnovers, and negative plays.

The Broncos D/ST is coming off a strong Week 5 performance against the Chargers, recording five sacks, one interception, and two fumble recoveries in a 23–17 victory. The Broncos have shown the ability to generate pressure and force turnovers, making them an appealing option with plenty of upside. Denver's biggest concern is its depleted secondary and its ability to contain an elite weapon in Smith-Njigba.
