Week 7 is one of the calmest weather slates we have tracked this season. Only one game, Chiefs at Seahawks on Sunday night, carries a meaningful rain chance; wind matters in just one outdoor game, and six of the 13 games are played indoors or under a closed roof. That puts the spotlight on the injury report, where quarterback and running back statuses in Baltimore, Tampa Bay, and Philadelphia matter far more than the forecast. Here is every game and what it means for your DFS builds.

  • Steelers at Saints, 9:30 AM ET, Stade de France: 59 degrees, rain at 2 to 3 percent, wind 13 to 16 mph out of the west. The stadium's mostly enclosed design should keep much of that wind off the field.

  • Buccaneers at Panthers, Bank of America Stadium: 65 to 69 degrees, dry, 10 to 12 mph wind out of the NE with gusts to 20 mph.
  • Browns at Titans, Nissan Stadium: 72 to 78 degrees, dry, 1 to 2 mph wind.
  • Dolphins at Jets, MetLife Stadium: 64 to 67 degrees, dry, 2 mph wind.

Worst Weather Games in Week 7

Nothing on this slate is a serious weather threat, but three games are worth a look.

The Only Rain Game

Chiefs at Seahawks has rain at 41 to 44 percent for the entire game, though the latest read is low concern and wind is light. A steady drizzle would favor the run game on both sides, a fit for a Chiefs offense missing Rice and a Seahawks passing game that has been inconsistent. Kansas City is 5-0 but without receiver Rashee Rice (hamstring and knee), right tackle Jaylon Moore (concussion), and running back Brashard Smith (hamstring), and left tackle Josh Simmons is on injured reserve. Patrick Mahomes (knee) practiced fully all week and Travis Kelce (ankle) was limited. The Chiefs' run game runs through Kenneth Walker, who faces his former team. Seattle is 3-3 after a 17-14 overtime loss at Denver, with Sam Darnold at seven touchdowns and seven interceptions, four of those picks in the last two games, and a run game that has struggled with Jadarian Price on injured reserve. Zach Charbonnet was just activated off the PUP list. The Seahawks are 2.5-point favorites.

The Wind Games

Buccaneers at Panthers is the only outdoor game with a real wind number, with sustained wind of 10 to 12 mph and gusts to 20 mph, though it is dry. Gusts at that level can nudge deep throws and longer field goals off line. The bigger questions are at quarterback. Baker Mayfield (right thumb) practiced fully all week after missing three games but is officially questionable, and Jalon Daniels would make his fourth start if Mayfield cannot go. Tampa Bay is 1-5 and without receiver Emeka Egbuka, tackle Luke Goedeke, and safety Antoine Winfield Bryce Young has 1,549 passing yards and is averaging 309.8 per game over five starts, while Carolina's defense is thin, without outside linebacker Jaelan Phillips and with both starting cornerbacks, Jaycee Horn and Mike Jackson, on injured reserve.

Steelers at Saints in Paris shows 13 to 16 mph wind on paper, but the stadium design should limit how much reaches the field, so treat it as a minor note. The matchup itself is about turnovers. Tyler Shough has 12 touchdowns but eight giveaways, tied for fourth in the league, and the Saints have 12 giveaways overall against a Steelers defense with 10 takeaways. Aaron Rodgers has 12 touchdowns and five interceptions, and Pittsburgh ranks second in rushing DVOA. Chris Olave is second in the NFL with 580 receiving yards. Pittsburgh is without receiver Ben Skowronek and cornerback Brandin Echols, with running back Rico Dowdle (knee) and safety DeShon Elliott (knee) questionable. The Steelers are 3.5-point favorites.

Best Weather Games in Week 7

Browns at Titans is the cleanest forecast of the week: 72 degrees, no rain, and 1-to-2 mph wind. It also carries the lowest total on the slate at 37.5, with Cleveland coming off a 13-10 win over Baltimore. Bengals at Ravens and Dolphins at Jets are just as calm, with 2-mph wind and no rain. In Baltimore, the weather is not the question. Lamar Jackson (left ankle) has missed two games, was limited in practice all week, and said getting through the game is a matter of pain tolerance when he runs. Safety Jaylinn Hawkins and outside linebacker Tavius Robinson are out. In New York, running back Breece Hall (quad) did not practice Wednesday.

Cowboys at Eagles on Monday night is dry and calm, and the story is Philadelphia's offense. Jalen Hurts is on injured reserve for the rest of the season with blood clots, so Tanner McKee takes over, and the Eagles have lost four straight while scoring fewer than 20 points in each of their last three games. Saquon Barkley is expected back from a hamstring injury after the Eagles ran for only 57 yards in the two games he missed. Dallas is 2-4 and a road favorite.

Six games are untouched by weather: 49ers-Falcons, Giants-Texans, Broncos-Cardinals (closed roofs) and Colts-Vikings, Packers-Lions, and Rams-Raiders (domes). Packers-Lions has the highest total on the board at 53.5. The Rams will be without receiver Davante Adams, who is out six to ten weeks with a hamstring tear, and the Vikings are getting tackle Christian Darrisaw, tight end T.J. Hockenson, and receiver Jordan Addison back from injury.

Rain and Snow Impact on Fantasy Football

There is no snow this week, and rain is a minor factor. Chiefs-Seahawks is the only game with a real chance, and a light, intermittent shower rarely changes play-calling. If steady rain does show up, expect a slightly more run-heavy script and a bit more risk of a slick ball, which would help the ground games on both sides. Otherwise, there is no need to adjust kickers or receivers for rain this week.

Wind Impact on Fantasy Football

Wind is also a small story. Buccaneers-Panthers, with gusts to 20 mph, is the only outdoor game where it could affect deep passing or long field goals, and even there the sustained speed is modest. The wind in Paris should be blunted by the stadium. Every other outdoor game is at 5 mph or less, so wind should not factor into lineup decisions.

NFL Games to Avoid in DFS Because of Weather

No game is a true weather fade this week. The closest calls are below.

  • Chiefs at Seahawks: the most meaningful rain number on the board, though light, and a good spot to check radar before kickoff given both teams' offensive issues.
  • Buccaneers at Panthers: gusts to 20 mph are worth a small downgrade for deep passing and longer field goals.
  • Steelers at Saints: only a minor note for wind in Paris, since the stadium should shield the field.

Everything else, from the six indoor games to the calm, dry outdoor forecasts, should play out without weather being a factor. The bigger decisions this week are about Mayfield, Jackson, and Barkley, so watch Sunday morning's inactives.
