Fantasy Alarm’s first sweep of the season! Four bets, four wins, and “That’s the way (uh-huh, uh-huh) we like it”! It took until the last day of the first week for the success we are accustomed to, but it was still less time than game three of the World Series. Remember to follow all of our experts on the Bet Tracker and tail bets across every sport.

The second week of the NBA ramps up today with five games. Although it’s a short slate of games, there are several great conference battles with best bets to capitalize on. Two of which are nationally televised on NBC/Peacock, including the bet of the night.

NBA Picks, Predictions & Best Bets Today, 10/28

New York Knicks vs Milwaukee Bucks Prediction: Tuesday 10/28

Game Time: 8:00 PM ET | TV: NBC/Peacock | Location: Fiserv Forum | Odds: Rockets -15.5 | O/U 225.5

As stated in this column last week, Giannis Antetokounmpo is on a mission this season. He wants to win a championship with his two brothers. He’s healthy and motivated, which should scare the daylights out of any opposing coach. The 2018-19 MVP was named the Eastern Conference Player of the Week, and it’s not going to stop anytime soon. In fact, it would be wise to put at least a partial unit on him to be regular season MVP (+1300)

In a preseason interview on NBATV, he mentioned that he is going to excel as a point-forward. He reminded Frank Isola that when he came into the league, he was not the strong scoring force that he has been the past six to seven years. He reminded everyone that Jason Kidd was his head coach, and there was an emphasis on teaching Antetokounmpo great court vision. His passing game went from raw to refined under the tutelage of one of the best passers to ever pick up a basketball.

It also keeps him involved near the rim when he does not have the basketball. Antetokounmpo has 48 rebounds in three games, has recorded 14 or more in each game this season, and has a career average of 10.0 rebounds per game. The Milwaukee Bucks allow over 7 more rebounds per game than the New York Knicks, but they haven’t played a high-motor forward like Antetokounmpo. Put a unit on this best bet against the Knicks.

Charlotte Hornets vs Miami Heat: Tuesday 10/28

Game Time: 7:30 PM ET | TV: Local | Location: Kaseya Center | Odds: MIA -6  | O/U: 240.5

The Charlotte Hornets were the biggest surprise of the first week. Although the roster was considerably altered and improvement was expected, no one predicted a +13.7 point differential. They are 2 - 1 and up against their division rival, the Miami Heat, for first place in the Southeast Division. The Heat are playing with offensive production not seen since the LeBron era. They enjoy a +12.0 differential despite an injury-filled roster.

The Kaseya Center will be rocking tonight as the Heat hosts the Hornets in what should be a great game. Charlotte plays with an effective trio of Lamelo Ball, Collin Sexton, and Miles Bridges, and they will lean on them for production tonight. Miami has role players who have played well, but will it continue into week 2 after film study?

The sportsbooks are giving Charlotte a 6-point spread, and without a hook, there is an opportunity for a push. The Hornets have an opportunity to win this match, and a six-point cushion is a great NBA best bet. Put a unit on today’s battle for the Southeast.

NBA Prop Bets Today, 10/28

Russell Westbrook is a member of the Sacramento Kings, and is an effective bench player. He is averaging 21.0 minutes per game, and as always, he’s full tilt when on the court. He is the example of maximum effort, even in his 18th season.

The Kings play the defending champion Oklahoma City Thunder tonight. The Thunder are playing great, and the Paycom Center will be rocking, but they always give at least a soft cheer for Westbrook when he returns. The Thunder are a middle of the pack (14th) rebounding team. Put a unit on Westbrook’s player prop at plus odds.

It is extremely rare for, same person with two different player props. However, they do somewhat align with each other. Fantasy Alarm NBA Best Bets successfully picked the King of the Court the first week and is looking for repeat success. The best player for this bet is Giannis Antetokounmpo.

The King of the Court is the leader of Points + Rebounds + Assists (PRA), and there are several great candidates in today’s slate of games. With that said, Antetokounmpo has recorded over 55 combined PRA in every game this season. Playing on his home court after a day’s rest against a team that will force him to play four quarters is a wise choice.

For that reason, a full unit is suggested on this best bet. Make sure to opt in and place the King of the Court entry on Antetokounmpo, who will lead us to our second King of the Court bonus bet this season. Which we will turn around and put on his regular season MVP odds.
