Slate: 7-Game Main  |  Lock Time: 7:05 PM ET, Friday June 5th, 2026

Vegas Totals: MIL/COL (highest-projected game), WAS/ARI - CIN/STL - ATH/HOU (tied for second-highest)

Highest K-Projections: Ryan Weathers 6.5 O/U (+104), Trey Yesavage 6.5 O/U (+119), Parker Messick 6.5 O/U (+119), Roki Sasaki 5.5 O/U (-127)

MLB Weather Today, 6/5

Kansas City Royals vs Minnesota Twins - There's rain in the forecast that could cause a delayed start or a delay in the middle of the game.

Milwaukee Brewers vs Colorado Rockies - It's warm in Coors Field and that's a good thing for offense in a park.

Cincinnati Reds vs. St. Louis Cardinals - It's warm and the winds are blowing out to left. That gives the bats a slight bump in a subpar ballpark to hit in.

MLB DFS Lineup Picks: Starting Pitchers

MLB DFS Top Pitchers

Parker Messick (CLE)

Analysis: This spot is elite. The ballpark is an elite place to pitch in and the matchup is tremendous. The Rangers have the second-highest K-rate vs. LHP this year at 27.1% while ranking 28th in OPS and wOBA and 27th in wRC+. Messick has the best odds to win today and is one of three pitchers with a strikeout over/under set at 6.5.

Ryan Weathers (NYY)

Analysis: Vegas absolutely loves Ryan Weathers today. He has 6.5 implied strikeouts, heavy favorite to go over 17.5 outs, and has the second best odds on the board to win the game. He has the best strikeout numbers of any pitcher today and his upside is through the roof. He's had 10+ Ks twice this year.

Michael King (SD)

Analysis: The Mets offense continues to be awful against right-handed pitching as they rank 30th in OPS and wOBA and 29th in wRC+. King hasn't been great over his last two starts but he's still been solid overall this year. His GB rate is way up this season at a career-high 48.5% and is nearly missing a bat per inning.

MLB DFS Value Pitchers

Zebby Matthews (MIN)

Analysis: The Royals have largely been a bad offense this year and are 23rd in wRC+ and 24th in OPS and wOBA against right-handed pitching. The Royals have a 22.2% K-rate and Matthews is a guy who has always missed bats. He just needs to avoid the lefties, that's been his kryptonite.

Roki Sasaki (LAD)

Analysis: The spot basically doesn't get better than what Roki Sasaki has today. He is in the holy grail of strikeout spots and he's pitching much better of late coming off good starts against the Brewers and Phillies. Sasaki is currently the highest projected owned pitcher of the day.

Christian Scott (NYM)

Analysis: This matchup features two decent fantasy pitchers and two awful offenses. The Padres are 29th in OPS, wOBA, and 27th in wRC+ against righties this year. They're also striking out a bunch vs. RHP as they're currently rocking a 23.5% K-rate, which is the fourth-highest in the league. Scott misses bats, that's what he does. He has the third-highest K-rate and the highest K/9 of any pitcher pitching today.

Top Options For Strikeouts

The three top strikeout targets in today's MLB DFS projections each carry a K/9 above 10.9 and favorable opponent strikeout splits. K-prop lines and value ratings are incorporated below for DFS and prop context. These are the arms building the highest strikeout ceilings on the nine-game slate.

Our model identifies these arms as the highest-ceiling plays for Alt-K lines today:

Ryan Weathers: 29% K% (10.6 K/9)

Reid Detmers: 28.5% K% (10.8 K/9)

Christian Scott: 28.1% K% (11.3 K/9)

Parker Messick: 27.2% K% (9.6 K/9)

Trey Yesavage: 26.2% K% (9.5 K/9)

Zebby Matthews: 25.3% K% (9.3 K/9)

Best Odds For A Win

The following MLB DFS picks offer a combination of favorable win odds, sustainable ERA and xFIP metrics, and soft opponent matchups. Each carry K-prop lines worth noting alongside their DFS value at reduced ownership relative to the top tier.

MLB DFS Lineup Picks: Stacks & Hitters

MLB DFS Top Hitters

Brewers Spend Ups, All Of 'Em (MIL)

Analysis: It's hard to sit here and say one guy is better than the next because the spot is SO good. They face Ryan Feltner who has bad numbers against both splits this year, especially from a power department. Righties have a .286 ISO and .308 xISO while lefties are at .205 ISO and .257 xISO. Jackson Chourio, Christian Yelich, Jake Bauers, William Contreras, and Brice Turang are all elite.

James Wood & CJ Abrams (OF/SS, WAS)

Analysis: The matchup against Merrill Kelly is a dream one for Nats lefties. Kelly has allowed a .297 ISO, .364 xISO, .394 wOBA, .359 xwOBA to left-handed bats. He's only generated 8% SwStr and 10% K against lefties this year. Both Wood and Abrams have .280 ISOs and .415+ wOBAs against righties.

Ketel Marte (2B, ARI)

Analysis: A week ago Ketel Marte's numbers did not look like they do right now against lefties, but he's dominated them recently and now, he has a .261 ISO, .256 xISO, .365 wOBA, and .412 xwOBA. Marte has always historically raked against lefties and taht hasn't stopped this year.

Jordan Walker (OF, STL)

Analysis: Righties are crushing Brady Singer as much as lefties and Singer isn't missing any bats. This is one of the league's best hitters and he's in a blowup spot.

MLB DFS Value Hitters

Jake McCarthy (OF, COL)

Analysis: Sub-4K leadoff hitter in the middle of the best stretch of his career. Elite spot against a pitcher struggling to get lefties out.

Lars Nootbaar (OF, STL)

Analysis: Nootbaar is expected to return today against a guy struggling to get outs and has always notoriously been bad against left-handers.

Kyle Manzardo (1B, CLE)

Analysis: Kumar Rocker has a lefty problem and the Guardians can throw nine lefties at him. Manzardo has homered in two of his last three games and now sports a .180 ISO vs. LHP on the year.

Isaac Paredes (3B, HOU)

Analysis: Paredes is a reverse splits hitter and gets to face the Athletics bullpen for nine innings. Yeah, Jack Perkins is converting back to a starter, but he's not stretched out and their bullpen is going to do a bulk of the work here. The 4.51 ERA out of the bullpen is the 10th worst in baseball.

MLB DFS Top Stacks

Primary Stack: Milwaukee Brewers vs Ryan Feltner (COL RHP)

Why: The Brewers have over 6 implied runs on the day and are the clear number one stack of the day. There's elite hitting weather in Coors Field to boot.

Primary Stack: St. Louis Cardinals vs Brady Singer (CIN RHP)

Why: When you're trying to find the silver lining for Brady Singer it doesn't exist. Lefties have a .274 ISO and .450 wOBA while righties have a .293 ISO and .375 wOBA. Plus it's warm with some wind blowing out in St. Louis tonight.

Primary Stack: Colorado Rockies vs Brandon Sproat (COL RHP)

Why: The Rockies are getting a decent amount of ownership and it's a fantastic spot for them against Brandon Sproat. Lefties have a .220 ISO and righties sit at .198, so the power from both splits puts the Rockies in a fantastic spot in their home ballpark.

"Contrarian" Stack: Arizona Diamondbacks vs Foster Griffin (WAS LHP)

Why: Arizona is a top-five offense against left-handed pitching and have guys from both sides of the plate doing damage against them. Foster Griffin struggles against both splits so it's a match made in heaven. Both splits have ISO's of .178 or higher off of him.

"Contrarian" Stack: Washington Nationals vs Merrill Kelly (ARI RHP)

Why: I want all the Nationals lefties in their lineup. James Wood, CJ Abrams, Daylen Lile, the bat boy, the athletic trainer. If they all hit from the left side use them in your DFS lineup. Lefties have a .297 ISO, .364 xISO, .394 wOBA, and .459 xwOBA against him.
