2023 Player Outlook

2023 Recap: Signing a deal for over $80M when you have yet to reach the game's highest level is good for the 19-year-old Chourio, and perhaps even better for the Brewers, as this could look like a steal in a couple seasons. Chourio primarily spent the 2023 season at Double-A, and across 122 games there, he hit .280, swatted 22 home runs, and went 43-for-52 on stolen base attempts. Milwaukee will let him be aggressive on the base paths, and he figures to be the team's everyday centerfielder for 2024 and beyond.

2024 Outlook: He'll eventually work his way to the upper half of the lineup, but he needs to get his feet wet and get acclimated to life in the big leagues. The speed is legit, he's got big pop for his frame, and the floor for Chourio in 2024 is something like a .240 batting average with 15 home runs and 20 stolen bases. The ceiling is immense, and while I think his strikeout rate will be a little elevated early on, he'll settle in, and be a standout multi-category producer. This kid is an elite talent, and the ADP shows it, as the teenager is a top 150 pick without having an at-bat at the MLB level.
