This week, David Johnson is the easy choice for the top option. In DFS, he will approach 80 percent ownership against a San Francisco defense that is just abysmal against the run. There are plenty of other options at running back that can help you out this week. Jay Ajayi and Melvin Gordon square off in a matchup that will likely see both running backs get at least 23 touches. Anyways, let’s jump right on in and analyze some running backs.

Here are the Top 5 running backs for Week 10 of the NFL season.

David Johnson vs. SF

Johnson is the clear-cut top option this week against a San Francisco run defense that has been gashed on the ground of late. San Fran has allowed over 200 rushing yards to opposing running backs in each of the last three games. Johnson is a monster and seeing as he’ll get around 25 touches this week, he’s a candidate for 200 total yards.

Le'Veon Bell vs. DAL

Dallas has been tough against running backs, but Bell is a rare breed in the backfield. He’s one of the league’s best dual-threat backs and he’s coming off his worst game of the season. Expect that fuel to add to his fire and have a bounceback game on Sunday. Consider 100 total yards as his floor this week.

Ezekiel Elliott @ PIT

Like Tom Brady on the quarterback list, Elliott is going to be a frequent flyer on this list. He’s leading the league in rushing with 891 yards and has seven rushing touchdowns in eight games. Pittsburgh has struggled to stop the run all season, so expect Elliott to produce RB1 numbers yet against this week.

Jay Ajayi @ SD

In his last three games, Ajayi is averaging 176 rushing yards on 25.6 carries per game. He’s scored four touchdowns during that span and Miami’s newfound love for the running game has paid off dividends. Ajayi is a RB1 moving forward and that applies again this week. San Diego has allowed the sixth-most fantasy points per game to opposing running backs through nine weeks this season.

Melvin Gordon vs. MIA

Gordon continues to produce for his fantasy owners and he had his best game of the year this past week against the Tennessee Titans. He eclipsed 250 total yards and he has solidified his role among the top fantasy running backs moving forward. Gordon has received at least 27 touches in the past four games and there’s no reason to flip the script in Week 10.
