Here are the top 6 defenses for Week 10 of the NFL season.
Cardinals DST vs. SF
Don’t be fooled by Colin Kaepernick’s numbers last week. He’s not that good, however, the New Orleans defense is that bad. Kaepernick will commit at least two turnovers and Arizona will find a way to take one to the house this weekend. This unit has had its ups-and-downs this season, but you can trust them this week.
Vikings DST @ WSH
Since the team’s bye, they’ve allowed 20 or more points in each game. What is even more worrisome is that none of the offenses are exactly among the league’s elite. However, this is still a talented defensive unit that can wreak havoc on opposing offenses. Kirk Cousins is prone to turnovers and this week, he could struggle against this unit. Top defense this week.
Rams DST @ NYJ
If Ryan Fitzpatrick plays this weekend, I like this defensive unit a lot. If Bryce Petty starts this weekend, I like this defensive unit a lot. The Rams are tough against the run and with the way Fitzpatrick, and Petty, have looked this season, the Rams have an excellent opportunity for a productive fantasy afternoon. They are also coming off a five-sack game against Cam Newton.
Ravens DST vs. CLE
Played on Thursday night.
Panthers DST vs. KC
The Panthers held the Rams to 10 points last week and now get to face a run-heavy Chiefs offense. Carolina is much better at stopping the run, so as long as they can succeed in that facet of the game, Kansas City may struggle to move the football. Alex Smith can throw the football, but he’s definitely not great at consistently leading a team down the field through the air. He’s a game manager, that’s what he is. Carolina has 12 sacks in the last two weeks, which is elite.
Texans DST @ JAC
I like the Houston defense a lot this week against a struggling Blake Bortles. Houston has struggled to slow down the running game of late, but if Brock Osweiler can put points on the board early, Jacksonville will have to abandon the run game, which plays into Houston’s defensive strengths. The team is also coming off a bye week, so expect some blitzes to get Jadeveon Clowney and Whitney Mercilus to the quarterback. Houston is a top defense this week.
