MLB Stolen Base Picks Today: Best Stolen Base Predictions For June 28th, 2026
If you’re looking for the best stolen base picks for today, you are in the right place. We hit again with yesterday’s picks and that now makes four-straight days of cashing for our stolen base picks. It was a little touch-and-go there for a few, but in the seventh inning, our pick of Jake McCarthy was on second with Ezequiel Tovar on first and we got a double-steal! Not that it mattered, but then Hunter Goodman knocked both of them in with his 25th home run of the season, but we walked away winners. Time to carry that momentum into the Sunday games.

Best MLB Stolen Base Picks Today:
Locking in the best stolen base predictions means finding the absolute perfect storm of a high-on-base runner and a weak battery. Here are our top two MLB stolen base picks today for Sunday, June 28:
Favorite Bets:
Elly De La Cruz, Cincinnati Reds (+202)
In comparison to other plays, this one feels like low hanging fruit. Nothing wrong with that, right? We all gotta eat!. We’re going to lean into the speed and overall talent of De La Cruz today as he faces righthander Mitch Keller. De La Cruz doesn’t have good BvP numbers against Keller and is always a threat to strike out, but he does have a .337 wOBA against righties, so we’ll run with that. Keller has allowed 10 stolen bases on the season and that amount is about to go up. His last two starts have been caught by Endy Rodriguez who has just an eight-percent caught-stealing rate and they’ve allowed four stolen bases in those two games. We’ll take the shorter-than-usual odds for a steal here.
Jazz Chisholm, New York Yankees (+270)
Just a quick look at some of the odds above and you’ve see that Vegas is expecting a lot of running during tonight’s Yankees/Red Sox game. I typically like to go after right-handed pitching as lefties tend to have a better move to first, so we’ll go after Sonny Gary who has allowed seven stolen bases on the season. But more importantly, his catchers are really struggling to throw out baserunners. Carlos Narvaez has been the best of the group, but he’s got just a 24-percent caught-stealing rate. Connor Wong is at 17-percent and Mickey Gasper has yet to throw out a baserunner in 12 attempts. So, while we prefer Gasper behind the plate for the sake of our play, we’re really not that concerned with any of the three. Chisholm got the day off on Saturday so he’s ready to go and he’s got a .331 wOBA with 22 of his 24 steals coming against righties. Gray, on the other side of things, is allowing a .326 wOBA to lefthanded hitters. Could be a match made in heaven for us.
