If you’re in search of the best stolen base picks for today, you’ve come to the right spot. We’ve had a very nice run over the weekend, cashing with Zach Neto at +327 on Saturday, and then with yesterday’s picks, we hit twice – Bobby Witt at +260 and Pete Crow-Armstrong at +315. We almost hit the trifecta as our longshot pick, Leody Taveras, had an infield single in the eighth inning with the Baltimore Orioles down two with two outs, but he either didn’t have the green light or he just didn’t see the right opportunity. We won’t complain about it. Sure, it would have been nice, but what a weekend we had anyway. Now it’s time to try to carry that momentum into this week. With the help of our new stolen base prop finder, it’s time to dive into the research and deliver the best in MLB stolen base picks today.

Pitchers Most Vulnerable to Stolen Bases Today

When hunting for successful MLB stolen base picks today, targeting the right pitcher is half the battle. The following list is made up of the day’s starting pitchers who have allowed the most stolen bases this season.

Catchers Allowing the Most Stolen Bases

The final piece of the puzzle for finding the best stolen base predictions involves looking behind the dish at catcher pop times and throwing accuracy. How many times teams attempt to steal a base on a particular catcher is a strong indicator of who we expect to see doing the most running today. The following backstops have the lowest Caught Stealing% with a minimum of 10 SB attempts against them.

Best MLB Stolen Base Picks Today:

Locking in the best stolen base predictions means finding the absolute perfect storm of a high-on-base runner and a weak battery. Here are our top two MLB stolen base picks today for Monday, June 15:

Favorite Bets:

Jake Mangum, Pittsburgh Pirates (+277) – Tough catcher to go up against in Shea Langeliers, who has a 33-percent caught-stealing rate on 27 attempts, but with no Oneil Cruz in the lineup for the Pirates, Mangum should have the green light as they look to help manufacture runs. Athletics right-hander J.T. Ginn is allowing lefty hitters to post a .343 OBP against him, and Mangum is rolling with a .373 OBP against righties. The Pirates are one of the more efficient baserunning teams this season, so look for them to be as successful as they are aggressive.

Longshot:

James Wood, Washington Nationals (+468) – The Royals are throwing right-hander Mitch Spence, who is a bit of a wild card. We’re not sure how long he goes or if this might even be considered a bullpen game by the Royals. What we do know is that his K-rate is weak and his walk-rate is pretty high. We also know that his catchers, Carter Jensen and Salvador Perez, combine for a 25.8-percent caught-stealing rate, so we’re going to take a shot. You could go for shorter odds with Nasim Nunez, but he doesn’t hit righties well. You could also go with CJ Abrams, who hits righties well, and at +366, I do like sprinkling a little something on that. But Wood is batting leadoff and white-hot right now, riding a six-game hit streak with three stolen bases in that span. He also destroys right-handed pitching, posting a team-high .437 wOBA against them.
