Best MLB Stolen Base Picks Today:
Locking in the best stolen base predictions means finding the absolute perfect storm of a high-on-base runner and a weak battery. Here are our top two MLB stolen base picks today for Saturday, June 13:
Favorite Bets:
Jose Caballero, New York Yankees (+249) – You may want to wait to see the official lineup first and make sure Caballero is there at shortstop. He should be with Kevin Gausman on the mound and with him enjoying back-to-back multi-hit games. Gausman has allowed seven stolen bases on the season and his catcher, Brandon Valenzuela has just a 23-percent caught-stealing rate on 36 attempts. Caballero has the sprint speed we want and while his success rate is only around 72-percent, the Yankees are going to need to manufacture some runs in this matchup.
Zach Neto, Los Angeles Dodgers (+327) – We’re going back to an old stand-by of ours as Neto will be squaring up against the Tampa Bay battery of Griffin Jax (six stolen bases allowed) and the tandem Hunter Feduccia and Nick Fortes (23-percent caught-stealing rate). Jax has had a pretty rough go at it as a starter and his underlying metrics are not trending in the right direction. With a slow delivery and weak-armed catchers, they’re going to have trouble with a guy who has hit safely in six of his last seven games and has a pair of stolen bases in that span.
