The playoff push has officially begun and the standings have really been shaken up in the Wild Card hunt over the last week or so. With this point in the schedule we start to see a bit of a break in divisional games for some teams as MLB tends to save divisional games for September to make it more exciting and important down the stretch.
Ronald Acuña Jr. , OF ATL – It’s easy to get overshadowed this week with what Aristides Aquino and Yordan Alvarez did but that doesn’t mean Acuna didn’t have a heck of a week himself. He slashed .406/.457/1.000 with six home runs, 11 runs, 11 RBI, and three steals in seven games. That’s even with a 34.3-percent K-rate in 35 plate appearances. His teammate Ozzie Albies also had a solid week with a .500/.514/.941 slash line and three homers, 10 runs, seven RBI, and a steal.
