Geno Smith's 2025 season in Las Vegas was genuinely rough. He threw 19 touchdown passes but was plagued by turnovers, operated behind a bottom-tier offense, and watched the Raiders finish with just three wins. He got benched, the team landed the first overall pick, and Smith moved on to the Jets in a trade ahead of the 2026 season. It was not a great end to his time in the desert.
2026 Fantasy Outlook
Smith is the consensus QB29 and the confirmed Week 1 starter for the Jets. Look, Garrett Wilson is a legitimate football player who makes quarterbacks better, and Smith showed in Seattle back in 2022 that he can put up 4,748 yards and 31 touchdown passes in the right environment. The concern is that his 2025 interception total reflected a real processing decline, not just a scheme-fit issue, so the Jets need a cleaner version of Geno to show up. He is a streaming option in standard leagues with some upside in favorable matchups, but do not bet your season on it.
