2023 Player Outlook

2023 Recap: Sanchez has improved his stat lines each of his three years in the majors for Miami. His 2023 stat line over his 125 games played was decent with 14 HR, 52 RBI, 43 R, and three steals along with a .253/.327/.450 slash line. He did undershoot his xBA and xSLG, .268 and .475 respectively, which means we could see some improvements in 2024, perhaps. Sanchez’s launch angle was the lowest of his time in the majors at 5.6 degrees which will certainly need improvement.

2024 Outlook: So, are we seeing improvements in 2024? That largely depends on if Sanchez starts lofting the ball more. The power and XBH will follow, as will a rise in his average. That doesn’t mean we’ll see a big jump in numbers but enough to get to 18 or so homers and 60 each in R and RBI. That should make him worth a spot as an OF4 or OF5 for fantasy teams.
