Rays vs Guardians: Pitching Matchup

Drew Rasmussen, Tampa Bay Rays

The Rays send their ace to the mound tonight and he's been fantastic this postseason. He's fired off 14 innings of two run baseball while posting a 17:2 K:BB ratio. The Guardians offense is not overly impressive and Rasmussen should have a good game here.

DraftKings CPT: $17,700 | DraftKings UTIL: $11,800

Parker Messick, Cleveland Guardians

Messick has clearly slowed down as the season has progressed and considering it's his rookie season, it's not overly surprising. Over the last 30 days, Messick has allowed righties to post a .370 wOBA and .338 xwOBA. The Rays are going to throw likely seven righties at him too.

DraftKings CPT: $17,400 | DraftKings UTIL: $11,600

Rays vs Guardians Preview: Key Players to Watch

Jose Ramirez, 3B (Guardians)

Ramirez continues to have a really good postseason and he's hitting for power and running (or trying to) every time he's on base. He has game-changing upside when he's in this type of form.

DraftKings CPT: $14,400 | DraftKings UTIL: $9,600 | FanDuel MVP: $18,300 | FanDuel UTIL: $12,200

Junior Caminero, 3B (Rays)

We finally saw Junior Caminero have some big swings last night as he roped a double and just missed a home run to dead center too. Caminero has dominated lefties posting a .204 ISO, .217 xISO, .390 wOBA, and .409 xwOBA.

DraftKings CPT: $14,700 | DraftKings UTIL: $9,800 | FanDuel MVP: $19,800 | FanDuel UTIL: $13,200

Jonathan Aranda, 1B (Rays)

Aranda hasn't really hit lefties well and hasn't had the best postseason all around but he had a breakout game on Saturday. He had three hits but just had a .091 ISO, .133 xISO, .307 wOBA, and .315 xwOBA against southpaws.

DraftKings CPT: $11,700 | DraftKings UTIL: $7,800 | FanDuel MVP: $13,500 | FanDuel UTIL: $9,000

Chase DeLauter, OF (Guardians)

I respect Drew Rasmussen a LOT but Chase DeLauter does have good numbers against right-handed pitchers this season. He posted a .181 ISO and .354 wOBA and .367 xwOBA along with 13 HR.

DraftKings CPT: $12,000 | DraftKings UTIL: $8,000 | FanDuel MVP: $15,300 | FanDuel UTIL: $10,200

Yandy Diaz, 1B (Rays)

We finally saw the Yandy Diaz breakout in Game 4 and has hit lefties well all season long. He has a .174 ISO, .162 xISO, .335 wOBA, and .351 xwOBA against them on the year.

DraftKings CPT: $12,900 | DraftKings UTIL: $8,600 | FanDuel MVP: $17,100 | FanDuel UTIL: $11,400

Victor Mesa, OF (Rays)

We've talked about this a lot, but Victor Mesa has a very high ceiling against lefties. He hit over .300 against lefties while posting a .150 ISO and .380 wOBA against them. He hasn't put any one singular big game in this series together and we know that's well within his range of outcomes.

DraftKings CPT: $10,500 | DraftKings UTIL: $7,000 | FanDuel MVP: $13,800 | FanDuel UTIL: $9,200

Jonny DeLuca, OF (Rays)

DeLuca hasn't played well in the last two games of the series but he had two multi-hit games to start the series and was good against the Yankees too. DeLuca has speed as he's stolen two bases this postseason.

DraftKings CPT: $9,000 | DraftKings UTIL: $6,000 | FanDuel MVP: $8,100 | FanDuel UTIL: $5,400

Steven Kwan, OF (Guardians)

It was an interesting season for Steven Kwan, but the one thing he did extremely well is hit right-handers well (over .300 for the year) and was on base nearly 40% of the time to boot. I said it every time I've written this series up, but his ceiling is really tied to the guys behind him knocking him in when he gets on.

DraftKings CPT: $10,200 | DraftKings UTIL: $6,800 | FanDuel MVP: $9,600 | FanDuel UTIL: $6,400

Other Notable Options

Ryan Vilade, 1B/OF (Rays): DraftKings UTIL: $5,000 | FanDuel UTIL: $4,800

Patrick Bailey, C (Guardians): DraftKings UTIL: $4,400 | FanDuel UTIL: $4,600

Nathaniel Lowe, 1B (Guardians): DraftKings UTIL: $5,200 | FanDuel UTIL: $6,200

Petey Halpin, OF (Guardians): DraftKings UTIL: $3,800 | FanDuel UTIL: $4,200
