Become a Factor: Playing Single-Entry in Week 2

Big fan of SINGLE-ENTRY tournaments and double ups.  Last week, I played in a lot of tournaments with some of my extra winnings from baseball, but time to get into my strategy to make money.  Playing Single-Entry and playing in 50-50s will allow you to win enough to take shots in tournaments.  That is what I do. I never expect to win a tournament but expect to win 50-50s. Make consistent money and then once or twice a season win something significant in a tournament.  Don’t win millions, but that is not why I play. Winning makes you feel smart so you want to win, but I don’t want to lose a lot so I play low risk strategies.

This week, we added Fantasy Factor to all our tools except for the Lineup Generator.  We will be adding that soon, but want to make sure that the algorithms are culled to be effective.  The page that I start on is the projections page since it allows me to see the highest valued players.

We also have Points Allowed by Position by teams in the Fantasy Factor scoring to help you determine what players have the largest upside.  We have 30 other tools that you can use that are personalized to the Factor scoring and will keep you in the know on what is happening for week 2.

Here are some great values using Fantasy Factor salaries this week:

Drew Brees ($5500) – With Andrew Luck , Ben Roethlisberger and Deshaun Watson at $7800, this price looks like a mistake.  That means you can take advantage and roll him out for success. Brees threw for 439 yards and three touchdowns last week and is projected for almost 300 yards and three touchdowns again this week.

Saquon Barkley ($3500) – Barkley looked like a thoroughbred on his long touchdown run versus the Jaguars this week.  On the turf in big D, he should be able to run wild especially if Sean Lee is limited in the Sunday Night Football game.  Too cheap to pass up.

Alvin Kamara ($8200) – Know this seems like a chalky play, but Kamara is $1000 less than Todd Gurley or Melvin Gordon so you can save a million, get more points and have the running back that goes with your quarterback.  Count me in.

A.J. Green ($3500) – Green is always a threat and one of the best wide receivers and to be at such a low salary is a travesty.  Green had 21.2 points on Factor last week and is projected to have 16+ points this week. Easy pickins.

Adam Thielen ($3500) – Thielen is one of the most targeted wide receivers in the game and new Vikings’ quarterback Kirk Cousins is finding him a lot.  He had 12 targets in week 1, catching six of those for 102 yards. He will have the Packers defense to deal with this week, but his underneath style should allow him to catch six to eight balls and have that same 100-yard day.  At this price, worth the investment.

Emmanuel Sanders ($3500) – In the second half of the Monday Night Football game, the Los Angeles Rams knifed through the Oakland Raiders with a short passing and slant passing game.  This will be perfect for Manny Sanders as he caught ten of eleven targets last week for 135 yards and a score. He should see double-digit targets and be the knife through the Raiders defense this week.

Zach Ertz ($5200) – The Eagles are playing the Bucs who allowed the Saints offense to completely exploit them last week.  Philly likes to go to the tight end and Ertz is the man. Nick Foles gets the start still as Carson Wentz is still recovering, but with injuries in the wide receiving corp, Ertz should be able to
