The Week 5 NFL DFS slate will surely be an interesting one, as most weeks tend to be, but there are numerous intriguing spots that project well for some of the game’s biggest stars! Amon-Ra St. Brown and Jaxon Smith-Njigba sit atop my NFL DFS WR rankings for Week 5, but when factoring in price points, neither is my top DFS play of the week! There’s a lot to sort through, but don’t worry, we got you covered here at Fantasy Alarm! Not only will you get my top NFL DFS WR picks for Week 5, but I’ll also cover my top fade of the week and some intriguing DFS stacks, including a contrarian stack if you want to zig where others zag. Without further ado, let’s dive into the NFL DFS WR Coach for Week 5!

NFL DFS Week 5 WR Picks

Nico Collins, Houston Texans - DraftKings: $7,500 | FanDuel: $7,800

In two games this year, Collins has a 26.1% target share, 3.02 yards per route run, and is averaging over 22 fantasy points per game, per FantasyPoints Data. He has at least seven receptions, 75 yards, and a touchdown in both games he’s played this season, and despite this game being a matchup between two winless teams, both the Texans and Titans are operating at top-7 paces in the league. C.J. Stroud is playing excellent right now, and with Houston unable to run the football, I’d expect them to stay pass-heavy, and Collins is the straw that stirs the drink for this offense.

Jaylen Waddle, Denver Broncos - DraftKings: $6,100 | FanDuel: $6,600

Jaylen Waddle? Really? The Jaylen Waddle who has 185 yards through four games, with 138 of them coming in one game? Yes, that’s the one! After heavy slot usage in Week 1, he’s been out wide more the last couple of weeks, and his team-high 0.23 targets per route run against zone coverage should play quite well against this Los Angeles zone-forward defense. Furthermore, the Chargers have allowed the 10th-most fantasy points per game to perimeter receivers on the year, and while Waddle’s yards per route run numbers are better out of the slot, there’s plenty of room to produce in this one. Nix is no stranger to throwing it downfield, and he himself has been better against zone (6.58 YPA, 89.7 passer rating) than man (5.03 YPA, 43.2 passer rating), so that’s another plus for Waddle. He needs to control the drops, but I like his chances for a big play in this one, as the Chargers have the ninth-highest explosive pass rate allowed in 2026, per FantasyPoints Data.

Denzel Boston, Cleveland Browns - DraftKings: $5,200 | FanDuel: $5,800

Boston will be a fixture in this article from this point forward; I declare it! Through four weeks, he has an 18.3% target share and 52.3% of the team’s air yards, per FantasyPoints. In fact, he ranks 11th amongst all wideouts in total air yards (284)! He’s separating at an elite rate; he boasts a 91st percentile win rate amongst qualified WRs, per FantasyPoints Data, and he is a big play waiting to happen! Deshaun Watson is playing good football, and we also saw a career-high route rate out of the slot in Week 4 at 16.1%, albeit with zero targets. However, it’s encouraging that they are moving him around, or at least attempting to do so. While the Jets haven’t exactly bled fantasy points to perimeter receivers, Boston has at least three inches of height on New York’s primary perimeter corners, and it would behoove the Browns to take advantage of the size difference.

Best NFL DFS WR Values for Week 5

Best DraftKings WR Value: Dohnte Meyers, Cincinnati Bengals - DraftKings: $3,500 | FanDuel: $5,400

Meyers stepped up for the Bengals in Week 4, catching seven of nine targets for 82 yards, not to mention a quality 2.70 yards per target over expectation, per FantasyPoints Data. Joe Burrow only had a 65.0 passer rating when targeting Meyers, and Meyers is more quick than fast, at least that’s what the metrics say on PlayerProfiler! Both Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins came out of Week 4’s game with injuries, so we’ll need to keep an eye on their availability for Week 5. If Chase or Higgins miss this game, Meyers likely handles another strong route share, and while Miami hasn’t been crushed by receivers, he’ll likely be quite chalky for a Bengals team with an implied team total in the mid-twenties.

Best FanDuel WR Value: Carnell Tate, Tennessee Titans - DraftKings: $5,300 | FanDuel: $5,900

Tate has a target share north of 30 percent over the last two weeks, and there’s been an emphasis on featuring him the past two weeks (10.5 targets per game). Despite some big names on the Houston defense, the Texans have allowed the second-most fantasy points per game and third-most yards per target to perimeter receivers, per FantasyPoints Data, and Tate primarily lines up out wide. It’s hard to run on Houston, but passing against them has proven to not be as difficult this season, so expect Tennessee to lean into the passing game, and Tate is the biggest threat in that department. DeMeco Ryans might take playcalling duties back this week, but I’d expect Houston to continue playing a bunch of single-high safety looks, which actually makes me feel better about Tate, because he’s posted 0.31 targets per route run against single-high looks, per FantasyPoints Data. Sub-$6K on FanDuel is criminal for this type of recent volume in this matchup, regardless of what Tennessee’s implied team total is.

Best NFL DFS WR Stacks for Week 5

Best QB/WR Stack

Michael Wilson, Arizona Cardinals - DraftKings: $6,200 | FanDuel: $6,400

Stack with:

Brian Branch’s possible return won’t fix this secondary. It might help against tight ends, but these corners are still suspect. The Lions have allowed the most fantasy points per game to quarterbacks and the second-most to wide receivers, and their continued commitment to man coverage is good for us looking to get some Cardinals in our lineups! Wilson leads the team with 0.39 targets per route run and 2.25 yards per route run against man coverage, per FantasyPoints Data, and Arizona’s WR1 is averaging nine receptions, 14 targets, and 92 yards per game over the last two weeks.

Best WR/WR Stack

Amon-Ra St. Brown, Detroit Lions - DraftKings: $7,900 | FanDuel: $9,000

Stack with:

This game has shootout written all over it, as Detroit has yet to play in a game where fewer than 55 total points were scored. Detroit’s defense can’t stop a nosebleed, so Arizona is going to score, meaning Detroit will have to score, and they have scored at least 26 points in all four games this season. The Cardinals have allowed the league’s highest explosive pass rate through four weeks, per FantasyPoints Data, and no team has a higher yards per target allowed to perimeter receivers than Arizona. Williams will stress this defense on the perimeter, and then Amon-Ra St. Brown’s 26.7% target share and 39.2% first-read rate continue to make him as reliable as they come. Through four weeks, St. Brown has five total touchdowns and is averaging 11.5 targets per game.

Best Contrarian Stack

Romeo Doubs, New England Patriots - DraftKings: $5,000 | FanDuel: $6,000

Stack with:

After a quiet, and really, a rough start to the season, Doubs has settled in over the last couple of weeks. He has an excellent 2.78 yards per route run over the last three weeks, and despite Drake Maye’s inconsistency, the New England wideout has averaged over 17 yards per reception in the aforementioned span. When the Patriots brought in A.J. Brown, we knew that he would likely be the team’s answer against man coverage, but who was it going to be against zone? Well, we have our answer, and it’s Doubs, who has posted 2.61 yards per route run against zone coverage this season. Raiders play a lot of zone, and other than Chris Olave, they haven’t exactly faced a gauntlet of elite wideouts, but in the past two weeks, both Olave and Tyquan Thornton got the best of Vegas. Mack Hollins got banged up last week, so that’s something to watch, too.

NFL DFS WR Fade for Week 5

Luther Burden, Chicago Bears - DraftKings: $4,900 | FanDuel: $5,900

I was a Burden “stan,” as the kids say, this fantasy draft season, but he won’t be making my DFS lineups in Week 5. With Tyson Bagent under center again, could we see the Bears employ a run-heavy approach again (-6.2% pass rate over expectation in Week 4) this week? I certainly won’t take it off the table! The Packers have allowed over four yards per carry this season with the fourth-highest rush success rate, per FantasyPoints Data, and the defense will be without Edgerrin Cooper. Even with Cooper, the Packers struggled mightily with zone runs (5.6 YPC), and the Bears have the fourth-highest zone run rate this season, per FantasyPoints Data. I like Burden a lot, and Chicago can’t run the ball every play, but Green Bay also is tough on slot wideouts (third-lowest yards per target and ninth-fewest fantasy points per game), and over half of Burden’s routes come from the slot, per FantasyPoints Data.

NFL DFS Week 5 WR Play of the Week

Malik Nabers, New York Giants - DraftKings: $6,300 | FanDuel: $7,300

No team is allowing more fantasy points per game to outside wide receivers on the season than the Commanders, and Nabers primarily plays out wide (77% of his routes come from out wide). The Commanders are content to sit in its zone defense, and that should be fine with Nabers, who has notched 2.45 yards per route run and 0.24 targets per route run against zone this season, per FantasyPoints Data. Nabers broke out in Week 4 against the Cardinals, and especially if Washington gets Jayden Daniels back, there should be some points scored in this one, and Jameis Winston is more than willing to throw it around the yard.

DraftKings vs. FanDuel WR Picks for Week 5

Between FanDuel and DraftKings, here are a few of the more notable pricing/ranking discrepancies on the two sites. We’ll certainly have eyes on the Bengals injury report, because any absence or limitation for Ja'Marr Chase or Tee Higgins would make Dohnte Meyers a smash play, particularly on DraftKings where he’s priced outside the top 50 wide receivers. You can get slightly better value with Michael Wilson and Carnell Tate on FanDuel, whereas Roman Wilson and Rome Odunze are cheaper on DraftKings. In fact, Odunze is inside the top 20 on FanDuel, but No. 30 on DraftKings! If you play on both sites, it’s imperative to know where the “values” are and how the players compare on each site.
