Last week was one of the better ones, so let's start with the wins. Drake Maye, whom I faded in Week 4, was the headliner, going 26 of 34 for 374 yards and four touchdowns with no interceptions and adding a rushing score in the 45-17 rout of the Raiders. Burrow tossed four touchdowns in the Bengals' win over Miami, Jayden Daniels ran for 103 yards and two touchdowns in his return from the elbow injury, and Brissett threw for 292 yards and three scores, though much of it came late after Arizona was already down by more than three touchdowns. Trey McBride added nine catches and a touchdown for the QB/TE stack. It wasn't all good. Tee Higgins managed two catches for 22 yards; Bo Nix and Jaylen Waddle never got going in Denver's win, with Waddle catching two passes for 19 yards, and the Brock Purdy fade was a split decision. He threw for just 189 yards and was sacked for the first time all season, but he also tossed two touchdowns and the 49ers beat Seattle.

Now on to Week 6, where the byes get serious. Cincinnati, Detroit, Miami, and Minnesota are off, which takes Burrow, Goff, and Murray out of the pool, and Baker Mayfield is out, while Lamar Jackson and Caleb Williams are both questionable. With Thursday night, the London game, Sunday night, and Monday night all sitting outside the main slate, the quarterback board is thin, so let's get into who deserves your salary.

NFL DFS Week 6 QB Picks

Drake Maye, New England Patriots - DraftKings: $6,600 | FanDuel: $8,000

Maye is the quarterback I'd build around this week. I faded him in Week 4, picked him last week, and I'm back again. He has thrown eight touchdowns in his last two games after throwing just one in his first three, and last week's 374 yards came with the deep ball back, 14 completions of 10-plus yards and five of 20-plus, both season highs. He has also run for 161 yards, a floor most pocket passers don't have. The Jets are not a soft pass defense, allowing 193 passing yards a game through four weeks, the sixth-fewest in the league, so I'm paying for form and game script rather than matchup. New England is a 7-point home favorite with the total at 43.5, and the Jets' run defense is 25th at 124 yards a game, which should let the Patriots keep dictating terms. A.J. Brown is still listed out, but he is eligible to come off injured reserve this week, and Mike Vrabel said there is a chance he practices, so he could return against the Jets, which would be a big boost. Even without him, Maye just threw touchdowns to DeMario Douglas, Kyle Williams and Hunter Henry, so the weapons are there.

Matthew Stafford, Los Angeles Rams - DraftKings: $6,400 | FanDuel: $7,800

Stafford is coming off a 383-yard, three-touchdown, no-interception night in Monday's 37-34 overtime loss to the Bills, and he now has 1,572 passing yards through five games with 9 touchdowns against 6 interceptions, after throwing just 8 picks all of last season. The yardage is what I'm chasing. He has thrown for 300 yards in four straight games, averaging 43 attempts a game, and Puka Nacua has fully shaken off the hip and groin injury that cost him two games, catching a career-high 17 passes against Buffalo. This is also the best matchup on the board. Arizona has allowed 234 passing yards a game and 11 touchdown passes through four weeks, tied for the most in the league, and then gave up three more to Jared Goff last week. The Rams are 12.5-point home favorites, the biggest spread of the week, with the total at 52.5. The one risk is a blowout trimming his fourth quarter, but a defense this leaky tends to keep the Rams throwing longer than the spread suggests.

Patrick Mahomes, Kansas City Chiefs - DraftKings: $6,500 | FanDuel: $8,200

Mahomes comes out of the bye with a receiver room that is still sorting itself out, and I'm still all in. He has thrown for 1,037 yards and 9 touchdowns with just 2 interceptions through four games, and the Chiefs are 4-0. Tyquan Thornton, who caught both of Mahomes' touchdown passes last week, is out for months with a dislocated ankle, and Rashee Rice's hamstring was described as minor, and he could be back after the bye. That's the question mark, but the matchup lowers the stakes. The Chargers are 0-5, Herbert has thrown seven interceptions with a 59 percent completion rate, and Kansas City is an 8.5-point home favorite. The total is only 42.5, so this isn't a shootout, but Kenneth Walker's 177-yard, two-touchdown game last week shows the Chiefs can win however they want, and Mahomes adds a little with his legs too, 41 rushing yards and a score this season.

Best NFL DFS QB Values for Week 6

Jameis Winston, New York Giants - DraftKings: $5,100 | FanDuel: $7,000

Winston is the cheapest quarterback I'd trust to throw three touchdowns, and he has done exactly that two weeks in a row. Last week he went 33 of 54 for 326 yards, three touchdowns, and no interceptions in the 27-27 tie with Washington, finishing strong after a shaky first half, and he added 27 yards on five carries. The volume is the story: 54 attempts with 20 targets to Malik Nabers and 13 to Isaiah Likely. Now he gets a Saints defense that has allowed 32 points a game, the most in the league through four weeks, with New Orleans a 1.5-point road favorite in a game with a 45.5 total. The Giants struggled to run the ball last week, which tells you where this offense is leaning, and at $5,100 on DraftKings that kind of volume is hard to find.

Kirk Cousins, Las Vegas Raiders - DraftKings: $5,400 | FanDuel: $6,800

Cousins is the better value on FanDuel, where he is the QB16 at $6,800 compared with the QB12 on DraftKings. He has 12 touchdown passes through five games against just 4 interceptions, and he threw for 243 yards and a score last week in the loss to New England. The matchup is where I get interested. Buffalo allowed 256 passing yards a game and 10 touchdown passes through four weeks, 27th in the league, then gave up 383 yards and three touchdowns to Matthew Stafford on Monday night. The Bills also have the league's highest-scoring offense, which means Las Vegas is going to be throwing from behind. The Raiders are 6-point home underdogs with the total at 52.5, tied for the highest on the slate, and Brock Bowers is healthy.

Best NFL DFS QB Stacks for Week 6

Best QB/WR Stack

Matthew Stafford, Los Angeles Rams - DraftKings: $6,400 | FanDuel: $7,800

Stack with:

Nacua is the engine here. He missed two games with the hip and groin injury, returned with 9 catches for 125 yards while running a route on more than 90 percent of Stafford's dropbacks, and then caught 17 passes for 138 yards and a touchdown on Monday night, a career high. Arizona is giving up 234 passing yards a game and 11 touchdown passes through four weeks, and while Davante Adams now has 27 catches for 441 yards and four touchdowns, including two against Buffalo, Nacua is the one who gets fed when the game tightens. The 12.5-point spread is the only worry, but Nacua has the kind of target share that survives a blowout.

Best QB/TE Stack

Jameis Winston, New York Giants - DraftKings: $5,100 | FanDuel: $7,000

Stack with:

Likely signed a three-year, $40 million deal with the Giants in March and has been worth it, catching 11 passes for 94 yards and two touchdowns on 13 targets last week after scoring twice in his Giants debut in Week 1. The touchdown equity is the appeal. Winston goes to him in the red zone and in big spots, including a 17-yard score on fourth-and-eight last week, and New Orleans has allowed 16 touchdowns in four games, among the most in the league. That is a lot of scoring to chase for a tight end at this price.

Best Contrarian Stack

Bryce Young, Carolina Panthers - DraftKings: $5,700 | FanDuel: $7,600

Stack with:

Nobody is going to be on this game, which is the point. Carolina is coming off a bye, the total is 41.5, one of the lowest on the board, and the Eagles are 1.5-point home favorites. But Young has thrown for 1,268 yards and 9 touchdowns with just 2 interceptions through four games, and McMillan was his go-to target against Detroit, catching 14 of 16 passes for 192 yards and two touchdowns. Jalen Coker sat that game with a quad injury, and Xavier Legette is out, so McMillan's target share, 27 percent so far, should stay heavy. Philadelphia's pass defense allowed 222 yards a game through four weeks, 16th in the league, which isn't a wall. Pressure is the risk; Young has been sacked 10 times, but this is the kind of low-owned stack that pays off big if the Panthers keep scoring.

NFL DFS QB Fades for Week 6

Jalen Hurts, Philadelphia Eagles - DraftKings: $6,100 | FanDuel: $8,100

The matchup isn't the problem here; the supporting cast is. Philadelphia is without Saquon Barkley and DeVonta Smith again, both listed out with hamstring injuries, and Hurts threw for 220 yards on 40 attempts against Jacksonville after managing 93 passing yards in a loss to the Rams the week before. The Eagles have lost three straight, haven't scored a touchdown on 18 straight second-half drives, and just snapped a 124-game streak of 40-plus rushing yards, so the offense isn't holding up its end. Hurts has 8 touchdown passes and 3 interceptions, and at $8,100 on FanDuel, he is priced as the QB4. Carolina has been shaky against the pass, allowing 231 yards a game, so he isn't a disaster, but with a 41.5 total and a 1.5-point spread, I don't see the ceiling to justify that price. It's a fade for me.

DraftKings vs. FanDuel QB Picks for Week 6

A few pricing gaps stand out this week. Cousins shows the biggest split among the plays I like: the QB12 on DraftKings but only the QB16 on FanDuel, which is why he is my value pick there. Maye and Stafford are smaller versions of the same thing, with Maye priced as the QB3 on DraftKings at $6,600 but the QB5 on FanDuel, and Stafford the QB5 on DraftKings but the QB7 on FanDuel. Hurts runs the other way, QB7 on DraftKings but QB4 on FanDuel, which makes the fade easiest to follow on FanDuel. Mahomes and Young get a one-spot DraftKings discount. Lamar Jackson, Caleb Williams, and Winston hold the same rank on both sites, so they aren't in the table, and I'd just play Winston wherever your roster has the room.

NFL Week 6 QB Play of the Week

Matthew Stafford, Los Angeles Rams - DraftKings: $6,400 | FanDuel: $7,800

Stafford is the play of the week because he checks every box I look for. He is the QB5 on DraftKings and the QB7 on FanDuel in a game with the biggest spread and one of the highest totals on the slate. He is averaging 43 attempts and 314 yards a game after Monday night's 383-yard, three-touchdown performance, and he gets a Cardinals defense that has given up 11 touchdown passes through four weeks, tied for the most in the league. Nacua is at full strength, Adams just scored twice, and the six interceptions are the thing keeping his price from being higher. I'm willing to live with that against a defense this soft. Matthew Stafford is my NFL DFS QB Play of the Week.
