Fantasy Football NFL Week 3 Target Report: Who Will Replace CeeDee Lamb, Mike Evans, and Terry McLaurin?
Three weeks for NFL football. That means we have three weeks of that sweet, sweet data. Sure, two of the weeks could have been flukes - or possibly all three. But we’ve got to do our best to establish some trends here and make moves as early as possible. You only get so many chances to add the right guy off waivers. Or trade away falling knives.
So that’s what we’ll try to do today. We’ve got a pretty good idea of the pecking orders for these teams. That doesn’t mean the top guys from every team will be fantasy relevant, mind you. But it does give us a good idea of who we can trust and who is worth a dart throw. So let’s dig into the extra week of data and get things sorted.
2025 Fantasy Football NFL Week 3 Target Report Preview
Why do we do the target report? Well, we have a pretty good indication historically of how many fantasy-relevant pass-catchers can come from each team. The short and sweet is that the vast majority of teams will have one, maybe two fantasy-relevant pass-catchers. And there will almost certainly be more teams with zero than there are with three. Most meaningful fantasy players get at least 100 targets - here is a look at how players on each team over the last decade have hit that milestone.
In the chart below, what we will do is attempt to take each team and project A. the target pecking order, and B. what target range the players will likely fall into. At the bottom, we’ll include some notes as far as what went into the rankings and color-coded chart. So let’s dive in!

Fantasy Football Week 3 Target Report Advice & Takeaways
If a team has a ** next to them, it means they moved to a new section. If a team has a note, it means there is something we should monitor or some sort of change. If there are no notes, we can assume it is business as usual. After the first week of football, there are a lot of notes!
Clear Top Two
Arizona Cardinals
- Trey McBride
- Marvin Harrison Jr
- Marving Harrison Jr got the looks but failed to make the plays. Will have to see if he can bounce back and get his confidence up.
Cincinnati Bengals
- Ja'Marr Chase
- Tee Higgins
- It’s worth noting that Tee Higgins only has 14 targets - especially since he only caught one pass this week with Jake Browning. He’s still a clear top two, but it’s dicey now.
Chicago Bears
- DJ Moore
- Rome Odunze
- Rome Odunze continues to flash in year two in Ben Johnsosn's offense. He and DJ Moore both played 53 snaps and ran 26 routes this week. If Colsotn Loveland is out, maybe Cole Kmet can be a streamer. Luther Burden made some nice plays but was still in a limited role.
Indianapolis Colts
- Michael Pittman
- Tyler Warren
- An Alec Pierce concussion saw Adonai Mitchell step into his role, just as he did last year. Josh Downs was not elevated. Pittman and Warren remain the most reliable options.
Las Vegas Raiders
- Brock Bowers
- Jakobi Meyers
- As long as Brock Bowers is playing hurt, Tre Tucker could be a streamer. But when everyone is healthy, Bowers and Meyers are our only real options for fantasy football.
Los Angeles Rams
New York Giants
- Malik Nabers
- Wan’Dale Robinson
- We elevated Wan’Dale Robinson last week and had him in the waiver wire article. How many 8+ target games does this guy need to have before we take him seriously?
Seattle Seahawks
- Jaxon Smith-Njigba
- Cooper Kupp
- In a blowout this week, the backups got more run, but these are the clear top two guys.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
- Mike Evans*
- Emeka Egbuka
- Mike Evans is dealing with a hamstring injury that we must monitor. This could push Chris Godwin to return as soon as possible. If both Evans and Godwin remain out, Sterling Shepard will get a boost in snaps, followed by Tez Johnson and Ryan Miller.
High Consolidation
Atlanta Falcons
- Drake London
- Darnell Mooney
- Kyle Pitts
- Bijan Robinson
- The use of blocking tight end Charlie Woerner as most targets are going to these guys. London, Pitts, and Bijan are technically all on pace for 100+ as of now, though that’s unlikely to hold with Mooney back.
Dallas Cowboys**
- CeeDee Lamb*
- George Pickens
- Jake Ferguson
- CeeDee Lamb missed virtually the entire game this week and is expected to miss multiple weeks. Jalen Tolbert got the snaps and targets, but Kavontae Turpin has the juice - we typically side with the snaps and targets in any sort of PPR. George Pickens and Jake Ferguson are the main beneficiaries of the injury, though.
Los Angeles Chargers
- Ladd McConkey
- Quentin Johnston
- Keenan Allen
- The Chargers use Ladd McConkey and Quentin Johnston as the full-time WRs with Keenan Allen in for three WR sets. But Allen is targeted heavily when in the game. This has muddied the waters in terms of who the top option truly is. It’s also worth noting that an injury to Will Dissly saw Oronde Gadsden play - he tied Tyler Conklin for routes and got six targets to Conklin’s two. We want to see more of Gadsden. This whole situation has not changed the order for us, but it has seen McConkey downgraded from blue to green as he’s not clearly on pace for 125 targets.
Miami Dolphins
- Tyreek Hill
- Jaylen Waddle
- De’von Achane
- Darren Waller*
- Darren Waller is expected back this week, but on a snap count. We’ll speculatively add him in deep leagues to take a peek, especially with Tyreek Hill under investigation. Jonnu Smith ran 70% of his routes from a WR spot last year.
New Orleans Saints
- Chris Olave
- Rashid Shaheed
- Juwan Johnson
- Brandin Cooks has made things a little uneasy for Rashid Shaheed lately. Also, after a lot of targets in Week 2, Kamara saw fewer in Week 3 despite a game script that would have called for it.
Philadelphia Eagles
- AJ Brown
- DeVonta Smith
- Dallas Goedert*
- Saquon Barkley
- We finally saw the Eagles have to throw - 10 targets for each of AJ Brown and DeVonta Smith. Goedert was coming back from injury and played a lot, but only got two targets.
San Francisco 49ers
- Ricky Pearsall
- Jauan Jennings
- George Kittle*
- Christian McCaffrey
- With George Kittle, Brandon Aiyuk, and Jauan Jennings all out, Ricky Pearsall has a clear runway here. Kendrick Bourne is the next man up.
Washington Commanders
- Terry McLaurin*
- Deebo Samuel
- Zach Ertz
- Terry McLaurin left with a quad injury, but there isn’t really a clear replacement for him. Luke McCaffrey plays slot while Jaylin Lane plays out wide. If McLaurin misses this week, we will get more information.
One Stud, Then Uncertainty
Baltimore Ravens
- Zay Flowers
- Classic Zay Flowers. He makes you think he’s a locked-in WR1 and then BOOM - disappears for a week. He’s still the best bet here as he leads in snaps and routes run every week. But Rashod Bateman and Mark Andrews showed us that they aren’t just going to go away. And sometimes Derrick Henry will just take over games.
Carolina Panthers
- Tetairoa McMillan
- With Xavier Legette out, David Moore played. Hunter Renfrow also rotated with Brycen Tremayne, with neither playing a 50% snap share. Ja’Tavion Sanders suffered an ankle injury that we need to monitor. It’s just McMillan for now. Stash Jalen Coker on IR if you can.
Denver Broncos
- Courtland Sutton
- Troy Franklin continues to operate as the WR2. That, plus the Evan Engram injury, had us making him a priority add over the last couple of weeks. There is no fantasy-relevant TE as of now, and there might never be.
Detroit Lions
- Amon-Ra St. Brown
- We’ve been afraid of this with this team. We know how rare it is to have three guys all get 100+ targets on the same team. Not only does this team have a target MACHINE in Amon-Ra St. Brown. But they have two backs that deserve targets - one in Jahmyr Gibbs that deserves a lot. That could leave a lot of weeks where one or both of Sam LaPorta and Jameson Williams are disappointing.
Houston Texans
- Nico Collins
- We have been telling you to stash Christian Kirk because no WR was differentiating themselves. Kirk returned and did that immediately. We’d like to see him play more in 2 WR sets before we elevate him to “clear top two,” but this week was promising.
Jacksonville Jaguars
- Brian Thomas Jr
- A Dyami Brown ankle injury did not elevate Travis Hunter - he stayed in his slot-only role. Parker Washington stepped into Brown’s role. Hard to trust anyone after BTJ, and it’s hard enough to trust BTJ.
Minnesota Vikings
- Justin Jefferson
- T.J. Hockenson looked good with Carson Wentz. But Jordan Addison returns this week. Both Hock and Addison could be sell candidates before we see what the target split is behind Justin Jefferson.
New York Jets
- Garrett Wilson
- Josh Reynolds remains out - Arian Smith operated as WR2 this week. A name to monitor in very deep leagues. As of now, though, Garrett Wilson has 30 targets, Breece Hall is second with 13, and no one else has double digits.
Pittsburgh Steelers
- DK Metcalf
- Technically, no one is currently on pace for 100+ targets. But DK Metcalf is still easily the most reliable. The tight end rotation muddies the waters for everyone else, but Calvin Austin is playing by far the second-most WR snaps.
Tennessee Titans
- Calvin Ridley
- Elic Ayomanor and Chig Okonkwo continue to battle to see who will be the second target on this team. As of now, the TE eligibility for Chig Okonkwo and the relatively thin nature of the position have him closer to your starting lineups.
Wide Open
Buffalo Bills
- Keon Coleman
- Khalil Shakir
- Joshua Palmer
- Dalton Kincaid
- After a nightmare Week 2, we at least saw Keon Coleman and Khalil Shakir run 80% of the routes here. Granted, Dalton Kincaid let in targets and scored while running 62.5% so it almost doesn’t matter with this team. Joshua Palmer took a bit of a backseat in this one in favor of tight ends as the Bills went run-heavy to some degree.
Cleveland Browns
- Jerry Jeudy
- Cedric Tillman
- David Njoku
- Harold Fannin
- Njoku continues to operate ahead of Fannin, but Fannin could pull ahead in pass work at some point. The ball is spread evenly, which works as long as you throw 40 times, but could get murky with any sort of QB change.
Green Bay Packers
- Romeo Doubs
- Tucker Kraft
- Matthew Golden
- Dontayvion Wicks
- As with last year, the Packers currently do not have a player on pace for 100 targets. With Jayden Reed out, Matthew Golden played over Dontayvion Wicks in 2 WR sets. Tucker Kraft played 86% of snaps despite injury.
Kansas City Chiefs
- Hollywood Brown
- Travis Kelce
- Xavier Worthy*
- Rashee Rice*
- With no Xavier Worthy or Rashee Rice, we haven’t seen this team close to full strength. For now, Thornton is in the Worthy role, and Hollywood and JuJu are filling in for Rice. When all is said and done, I expect Worthy and Rice to be full-time players along with Travis Kelce, with the other WRs rotating in with Noah Gray.
New England Patriots
- Hunter Henry
- Kayshon Boutte
- Stefon Diggs
- Demario Douglas
- TreVeyon Henderson
- Hunter Henry leads and is on pace for over 100, but pass blocking concerns are still lingering here, as he has blocked on over 10% of pass plays in all three games and over 15% in two. Diggs is not a full-time player coming off his ACL surgery, but is a priority target. Fumbling may have opened the door for TreVeyon Henderson to play more.
