NFL Picks, Predictions & Best Bets for Thanksgiving Day Thursday, 11/27

We’re excited to make your Thanksgiving Day more valuable with that remarkable sign-up offer, but it’s not as if the NFL isn’t already doing their part. We’ve been accustomed to seeing the Detroit Lions and Dallas Cowboys on Turkey Day for virtually ever, but throwing in Patrick Mahomes and another divisional rivalry is as good as it gets.

It's even expected that we see the return of Joe Burrow in the spotlight, making it all the more important to have our NFL best bets for Thanksgiving Day. Not to spoil things, but our top two picks are going to focus on the two earlier games, but that just means less time to wait to cash, or perhaps winnings to wake up to from your midafternoon nap.

Regardless, let’s discuss some overall NFL predictions for the tripleheader before fully diving into our NFL best bets for Thanksgiving Day.

NFL Thanksgiving Day Predictions: Thursday, November 27th

It’s only fitting to start with the first game of the day (1 PM ET), which is the classic Packers vs. Lions NFC North rivalry. It’s one that we’ll be targeting with one of our NFL best bets for Thanksgiving Day, but from a general perspective, we’re predicting that Detroit will get their revenge for the Week 1 loss to Green Bay.

We do expect Josh Jacobs to return for the Cheeseheads, but the Lions simply have too many offensive weapons. Speaking of which, the Dallas Cowboys have perhaps the best one in the entire NFL with George Pickens. That’s why we see that game having the highest total of the three, but we’d actually take the under.

That didn't quite make the cut for our NFL best bets for Thanksgiving Day, but we will be targeting a player from their opposition, the Kansas City Chiefs. As for the Bengals vs. Ravens game, while we know that Joe Burrow is set to return, Tee Higgins and Trey Hendrickson are expected out, and we just want to avoid that AFC North rivalry.

As touchdown favorites, Baltimore is expected to win their sixth straight game, but let’s get into what actually did make the cut regarding our NFL best bets for Thanksgiving Day.

Packers vs. Lions Best Bet: David Montgomery Anytime TD (Add His Sleeper Card To A DFS Lineup)

We’ll once again start in chronological order for our top NFL picks for Thanksgiving. We have appreciated Jahmyr Gibbs cashing some of our NFL best bets two of the past three weeks, but we’re now giving his partner in crime some love. This pick also kicks off our theme for the holiday, which is TD scorers.

Even if you see Jahmyr Gibbs score once again (he may still be running to the endzone from last Sunday), don’t fret. He and David Montgomery each find the endzone in the same game more often than not, especially against Green Bay. While that wasn’t the case in Week 1, this is still the start of our NFL best bets for Thanksgiving Day.

In five games with Detroit against the Packers, David Montgomery has five touchdowns. Even back with the Chicago Bears, he scored in his final game against Green Bay. So much time in the NFC North means plenty of comfort playing on the holiday, so David Montgomery anytime TD (add to a Sleeper lineup) as the first of our NFL best bets for Thanksgiving Day.

Chiefs vs. Cowboys Best Bet: Rashee Rice Anytime TD (Add His Sleeper Card To A DFS Lineup)

Our next pick may take you by surprise, given that we said we’d lean to the under for the Chiefs vs. Cowboys clash. However, that’s a total north of 50, so we’re not saying that we won’t see ANY touchdowns. One that we expect to see is part of our NFL best bets for Thanksgiving Day, and it’s a guy who cashed for us last weekend.

We took Rashee Rice over his receiving yards prop line, which he cruised over to the tune of 141 yards on eight receptions. He also saw 12 targets, multiple in the redzone. Now facing a Cowboys defense that has been poor against the pass, now this part of our NFL best bets for Thanksgiving Day shouldn’t be a surprise anymore.

Dallas has allowed 24 passing TDs this season, the second-most, only to the abysmal Cincinnati Bengals defense. We trust Andy Reid to gameplan against Dallas’ weakest unit by using his two best offensive players - Patrick Mahomes and Rashee Rice. That’s not to take away from Xavier Worthy, who saw his fair share of targets as well.

Even still, we love the Mahomes to Rice connection, making the second pick from our NFL best bets for Thanksgiving Day on Rashee Rice anytime TD (add to a Sleeper lineup).
