Are you ready to dominate the NFL Week 6 DFS main slate? We certainly are. But just a heads up, navigating this slate requires a sharp eye for value and precise roster construction as we tackle our first major bye week challenge of the 2026 NFL season. This week features a tight 10-game Sunday main slate because the Detroit Lions, Cincinnati Bengals, Minnesota Vikings, and Miami Dolphins are all resting on a bye. Additionally, there is another early morning international game in London between the Houston Texans and Jacksonville Jaguars. And then, of course, we have the standard prime-time showdowns off the main board.
A massive chunk of marquee talent is also completely removed from Sunday afternoon consideration: the Dallas Cowboys, Green Bay Packers, San Francisco 49ers, and Washington Commanders are locked into prime-time night windows, while the Seattle Seahawks and Denver Broncos already settled their business on Thursday night. Dialing in the top NFL DFS projections and identifying where target volume condenses is the key to locking in winning DFS NFL picks across DraftKings and FanDuel.
Last week, our Week 5 Playbook and GPP Dart Board delivered some incredible ROI, providing cash-game stability and tournament-winning ceilings across all contests. Difference-making top plays like Drake Maye and Isaiah Likely delivered massive fantasy production relative to their salaries, crushing their point projections. Meanwhile, our tournament value section uncovered under-the-radar GPP gems like Jaylen Warren, Kendrick Bourne, and Efton Chism, giving managers the critical salary savings needed to pay up for elite studs.
Be sure to go back and check out this week’s DFS Watch List as it shows you what the optimal lineups from last week’s Playbook and Dart Board produced. We’re talking about lineups that would have won the Milly Maker on DraftKings as well as the Sunday Million on Fan Duel. Building off that Week 5 momentum, our NFL DFS Week 6 playbook zeroes in on the highest-upside setups, high-volume matchups, and slate-breaking tournament plays. Hopefully this week, we unlock the big wins for all of us.

NFL Weather: Week 6 DFS Impact
Monitoring autumn weather shifts across outdoor venues is crucial when evaluating pass-game efficiency and kicker floors for your NFL DFS Week 6 builds. Fortunately for this week, it seems like the weather won't be a factor for us. This is what we are currently seeing:
- Huntington Bank Field (Baltimore Ravens at Cleveland Browns): Expect typical Lake Erie autumn conditions with sustained winds around 12–16 mph and gusts pushing close to 20 mph. Keep an eye on deep-passing stacks; wind could slightly compress air yards, favoring tight end check-downs and heavy ground work for Derrick Henry and whomever is going to lead this Browns backfield.
- MetLife Stadium (New Orleans Saints at New York Giants): Slight chance of light cross-stadium breezes (8–11 mph) with overcast skies. But with no precipitation in the forecast, weather will not play a restrictive role in game planning or field goal attempts.

NFL DFS Week 6 Picks: Howard Bender's Favorites
Before you start building lineups off of these core plays, understand that this is really just a primer for the full player pool. Scroll further down and you will see the full list of my own personal NFL DFS Week 6 player pool. I’ve spent this entire week studying everything about the upcoming matchups as well as everything we've witnessed over the first five weeks of the NFL season. I have combed through our NFL DFS projections and put together a list of candidates around which I am building most, and in some cases, all of my lineups.
Still, people have asked me for my favorites, as if you don't already know reading the DFS Watch List and listening to me on SiriusXM Fantasy Sports Radio as well as both the DFS Show and Alarm Fantasy Football. We’ve had numerous discussions regarding this slate and how to handle the late-window which is stacked with the highest-scoring games, so I’m willing to bet you already know who some of my favorite NFL DFS Week 6 picks are already. If you don’t already have an idea, then here is where I highlight a few from a variety of categories.
One caveat – this in no way means that all of my lineups will consist of these players. Don't freak out if I post an example lineup or, even better, a lineup that cashed well, that doesn't include some of these players. Will they be in a lot of them? Absolutely. But in the time between posting this Playbook and the first Sunday kickoff, things can change. Ownership percentages can change. Weather can change. Gut feelings can change. These might be some of my favorite NFL DFS Week 6 picks, but this is a guideline, not the gospel.
