If it looks like many of the same suspects are on the field for Christmas Day as we had for Thanksgiving, that’s because they are! NFL Christmas Day Predictions: Thursday, December 25th

Before we get too far into any NFL best bets for Christmas Day, we’d first like to point out that the first two games (Cowboys vs. Commanders and Lions vs. Vikings) will be on Netflix, while the finale of Chiefs vs. Broncos will be featured on Prime Video. With that out of the way, we’re also more confident in the outcome of the first two games.

We fully expect the road teams to come away victorious. The nightcap is quite the interesting matchup given the Patrick Mahomes torn ACL, but with Andy Reid always cooking up something, we won’t overlook a KC win over a Denver squad still wanting to earn the #1 seed in the AFC.

Although not one of our NFL best bets for Christmas Day, we expect points to decrease as the day goes on. That’s to say that we anticipate a high-scoring NFC East rivalry that transitions into a lower-scoring AFC West clash. With some overall NFL picks out of the way, let’s get into where we see the most value with our NFL best bets for Christmas Day.
 

 

 

Cowboys vs. Commanders Best Bet: CeeDee Lamb Anytime TD (Add His Sleeper Card To A DFS Lineup)

We expect them to do their fair share of scoring by taking advantage of the poor Washington defense - a unit that we’ve picked on many times this season. In four of the last five meetings with the Commanders, the Cowboys have scored 44, 34, 38, and 45 points.

The outlier in that span? Trey Lance was starting for Dak Prescott. As for CeeDee Lamb specifically, he’s been the primary factor in that scoring - in his last six games against Washington, the All-Pro WR has scored six TDs! He may not have scored against the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday, but he’s still part of our NFL best bets for Christmas Day.

The Vikings were able to grab a third straight victory by beating the New York Giants, and with one of the other wins coming against the Commanders, let’s not treat it as a record-setting streak.

Falling to the Pittsburgh Steelers wasn’t just heartbreaking because of how it happened - they now have about a 15% chance to make the playoffs, depending on where you want to look.

While they did get upset by the Vikings, they were able to score three touchdowns.
