Tonight we have a great matchup between two Western Conference teams for the NBA DFS Showdown slate. The Los Angeles Clippers led by Kawhi Leonard are traveling to Denver to take on Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets. This game will have plenty of action in it and should be competitive. Vegas sure thinks so with a line of Denver -5.

NBA DFS Showdown Slate Picks

MVP/Captain

Nikola Jokic, Denver Nuggets

Jokic had a down game in his last game compared to the standards he set in December. He still finished with a line of 24/9/7. He has the highest ceiling of anybody on this slate and that is apparent by his price being $4,500 more than any other player. But with someone who can score 100 fantasy points on any given night, you have to go with him as your captain.

Kawhi Leonard, Los Angeles Clippers

Leonard missed the Clippers last game with an illness but is no longer on the injury report for this one. When Kawhi has played he has been very good, and consistent. He has scored at least 32 fantasy points in eight straight games. Kawhi should be in your lineup tonight, I just question if his ceiling is high enough to be your captain tonight.

Paul George, Los Angeles Clippers

Paul George had a good game in his last one finishing with just over 44 fantasy points. But after the game, George announced he is playing through a hamstring injury. It's the same hamstring that caused him to miss seven games earlier this season. It will be hard to trust George to be able to finish this one if he plays.

Utility

Jamal Murray, Denver Nuggets

Murray has struggled over his past two games for fantasy purposes failing to score over 25.25 fantasy points in either game. But in his previous three games, he was great scoring 46,46, and 58 fantasy points. He scored at least 25 game points in each as well. If you play Murray and he hits you with a 50 spot tonight, he could be the reason you cash tonight. 

Michael Porter Jr., Denver Nuggets

Michael Porter has been back since around Christmas, and we love seeing that with all of his health concerns. He has been solid scoring over 21 fantasy points in each game since he's been back including a game in with 46. His price is under 7k so you should be able to get him in your lineup.

Ivica Zubac, Los Angeles Clippers

Zubac went through a stretch in which his minutes fluctuated up and down, but we seem to be past it. He has played 30 minutes in each of his last six games. He struggled the last two games, but his matchup against Jokic isn't a bad one. I will be playing Zubac tonight at $5,600 on DraftKings.

Marcus Morris Sr., Los Angeles Clippers

Morris has been incredibly consistent for us in fantasy. He has at least 20 fantasy points in 10 straight games. He just doesn't have the ceiling of other guys having only scored in the 30s one time during that span. But all that is baked into his price at $5,200 on DraftKings.

Dart Throws

Reggie Jackson, Los Angeles Clippers

I do not know if Reggie Jackson counts as a dart throw, but he is priced under 5K and that is my cut line. Not much ceiling here either with him scoring 30 points just once in his last 10 games. The shot attempts just haven't been there with George and Leonard both in the lineup. With George being questionable, Jackson should see double-digit shot attempts. Maybe he gets it going tonight in a solid matchup.

Terance Mann, Los Angeles Clippers

Terence Mann started in place of Kawhi Leonard in the Clippers last game, and he saw 23 minutes. If George is out tonight I expect Mann to start in this one once again. If he sees close to 25 minutes in this one once again he has the ceiling of a 40 fantasy point night.

Luke Kennard, Los Angeles Clippers

Kennard is also in play tonight at just $2,600 on DraftKings. Over his last five games, he has averaged around 20 minutes per game scoring around 13 fantasy points. If it's Kennard who gets extended minutes in this one he could have a great night and smash expectations. He will also be low-owned.
