NBA DFS Showdown Slate Picks

MVP/Captain

Kawhi Leonard, Los Angeles Clippers

With Booker still working his way back, Kawhi Leonard has the highest ceiling on this slate in my opinion. Out of his last seven games, he has scored over 50 fantasy points in four games. In his last game, he went 12-17 from the floor scoring 54 fantasy points, just incredibly efficient stuff from Kawhi.

Devin Booker. Phoenix Suns

Booker has been solid since he returned from injury. He hasn't played 30 minutes yet in a game and that's why I struggle with his ceiling tonight. He does have a very good floor scoring at least 33 fantasy points in all three games. Until he is getting over 30 minutes again, I think we should look elsewhere at the captain spot tonight.

Deandre Ayton, Phoenix Suns

Are we seeing Ayton play the best basketball of his career over the past five games? Ayton has scored at least 22 points in five straight games including two games of over 30 and another of 29 points on incredible efficiency. They have really been playing through him much more recently as he has gotten up at least 14 shot attempts during that span. Play Ayton somewhere in your lineup tonight.

Utility

Paul George, Los Angeles Lakers

Paul George has been playing better basketball this month for the Clippers. We have seen his scoring numbers jump up. In January he averaged just 19 points per game, and now in February, it has jumped up to 22.5. George is a fine play tonight if you can afford to put him in your lineup. I just question his ceiling night in and night out.

Chris Paul, Phoenix Suns

After struggling for most of the season it looks like Chris Paul has been rejuvenated since Booker has returned. He has scored 17 and 19 points in back-back games and 28 assists during that span as well. He has scored at least 38 fantasy points in four straight games as well. Let's hope that trend continues tonight from Paul and the rest of the season.

Josh Okogie, Phoenix Suns

Josh Okogie is a huge part of this Suns rotation since Mikal Bridges and Cameron Johnson have been traded. Okogie has played at least 32 minutes in three straight games and scored over 30 fantasy points in each. He will likely be the chalkiest of chalk tonight but there is no reason you should not play him.

Terance Mann, Los Angeles Clippers

It looks like Mann has found his niche alongside Kawhi and Paul George after a slow start with both of them in the lineup. Mann has scored at least 29 fantasy points in three of his last four games. I would assume Mann will get more than 30 minutes tonight with Norman Powell resting. I love Mann at his price tonight.

Dart Throws

Eric Gordon, Los Angeles Clippers

Gordon played 22 minutes Tuesday night in his return to the Clippers. As I said above, Norman Powell is resting tonight so that should open up Gordon as the first guard/wing off the bench. His price is a little high for a dart throw, but in my opinion, there isn't much value on the lower-end guys.

Bones Hyland, Los Angeles Clippers

Bones played 16 minutes on Tuesday night and scored 16.5 fantasy points. His minutes will most likely stay between 16-20 but that is enough time on the court for him to go on a heater. We know if Hyland gets going on any given night he can return 30+ fantasy points as he has done 10 times this season. Bones is really the only salary saver on the slate in my opinion.
