We have an exciting NBA DFS Showdown tonight between the Charlotte Hornets vs the Sacramento Kings. I am looking forward to watching a couple of the most exciting young point guards in the NBA in this one with LaMelo Ball back from injury and De'Aaron Fox who is really emerging this season.

NBA DFS Showdown Slate Picks

MVP/CAPTAIN

Domantas Sabonis, Sacramento Kings

Domantas Sabonis has taken his game to another level over the past seven or so games. He is just a rebounding machine corralling double-digit rebounds in all seven of those games. The Kings are even running the offense through him, and it is evident in his assists totals, where he has had at least seven assists in six out of his last 10 games. Sabonis is the best play at the captain spot tonight, but you have to pay up for him, as he is priced  $1,200 more than LaMelo Ball.

LaMelo Ball, Charlotte Hornets

Ball has been very solid since coming back from injury playing at least 33 minutes in each game. He has scored at least 40 fantasy points in all three games but not hitting the 50-point threshold you like to see.  He could tonight because I have a hard time seeing Terry Rozier playing which makes him intriguing. LaMelo could just go off tonight in a good matchup.

De'Aaron Fox, Sacramento Kings

Fox is definitely going through a rough shooting slump. Over his last three games, he is just shooting 40% from the floor and 5-20 from the three during that span. Well, it hasn't mattered in his two games as he still put up 44 and 53 fantasy points. If Fox breaks out of the shooting slump he could go bananas against a bad Charlotte defense.

UTILITY

Kelly Oubre Jr., Charlotte Hornets

Oubre is also coming off a couple of bad shooting games. He is a combined 12-37 over his past two games and 5-18 from downtown. What we like to see there is the shot attempts, and if Terry Rozier is out tonight, that should not change. Oubre is a bit of an expensive play, as he is up over 8K on DK, but he still should be in play tonight.

Gordon Hayward, Charlotte Hornets

Like LaMelo Ball, Hayward is just coming back from injury and he has looked ok so far. The volume hasn't been there in either game with just nine and eleven attempts. He did post a double-double at 15-10 and it's great to see him willing to rebound like that once again. He will play over thirty minutes in this if he stays healthy. I like Hayward at his price under 7K on DraftKings.

Harrison Barnes, Sacramento Kings

Harrison Barnes is an obvious play for me tonight at $6,200 on DraftKings. He is guaranteed to play thirty minutes. Barnes has also only scored under 20 fantasy points once over his last nine games. Against a bad Charlotte defense, there is no reason why Barnes shouldn't produce once again tonight in a fast-paced game.

Malik Monk, Sacramento Kings

Malik Monk is a big piece in this Kings rotation. He has even played more minutes than starter Kevin Huerter over the past two games and is $400 cheaper. Monk has scored at least 20 fantasy points in four straight games along with scoring double-digit game points. Monk has gotten up eight three-pointers in two of those four games as well, and if he knocks a bunch down tonight, he could blow up.

DART THROWS

Terence Davis, Sacramento Kings

Terence Davis is the epitome of a dart throw night in and night out. His minutes vary, but he is a microwave and go off at any moment in any game. We have seen him score 59 fantasy points in just 26 minutes one night. It could happen here in a good matchup, and he can win you a tournament if he pops.

Nick Richards, Charlotte Hornets

Nick Richards is very inconsistent, but he has hit in three of his last four games. He has scored at least 23 fantasy points in three of his last four games. He has taken advantage of Mason Plumlee's foul trouble over the last two games. Richards could hit tonight, just know there is a very low floor.
